Sorting out toys | Sergio de Miguel

There are universes, ours is one, where there are joined a countless number of diverse presences. They join, are connected, congregate, gather in crowds, and sometimes they are accumulated. Often they agglomerate and assemble, are gathered and pile up, even they are packed in not measurable quantities.

Then we tend to produce, inevitably, meaningful connections, links, binds and links. Orders. Corresponding places. For secret that could seem and to appear always we find manners of relating the things.

To join harmonica and in a balanced way is a task that needs attention and restrains. But we must finalize that it is so natural as abstract. To do this trip of the disorder to the order we take assimilated the strategy on the contrary. And, with her, the addition takes us to the subtraction, the guideline to the exception, and the repetition to the absence.

We look for and find strategies of connection. We link interests with orders. And finally we impose rules of a game which last only mission is the union. To overcome without number to produce one.

Kahn was sure that the architects should be composers, not designers. Composers of elements, understanding as elements the things with own entity, indivisible. For him the Architecture was departing from the exact definition of the diverse stays and his game was centring on the creation of a clearly expressed, generating structure of the character, and a geometric, provocative order of a high intention. His legacy left touching eternal presences us.

Every approximation to the Architecture supposes, of way unvariant, defining this spirit internal and capable of arranging the toys of our room. An own or foreign, individual or collective room, always replete with options and needed from choises.

Cada acercamiento a la Arquitectura supone, de manera invariante, definir ese ánimo interno y capaz de ordenar los juguetes de nuestra habitación. Una habitación propia o ajena, individual o colectiva, siempre repleta de opciones y necesitada de choises.

It is not the same thing to look that to see.
