When we have to proceed, in any area, we do so through distinctions, through disjunctive elections. Then we try to discern broad categories. Often involuntary. But what we always distinguish, by pure instinct, is everything that relates and unites in front of what separates and separates. What is proper and close to what is foreign and apart. What it involves and involves in front of what splits and distance.

The same, that strong relation of belonging and affinity, is what designates the favorable, the well-disposed, even the just and balanced. Our natural tendency to equity makes us prone to everything that provokes this manifestation of conscious proximity.

What is different, what is separate and different, is on the contrary detected as an inconvenience. Disturbing. Stimulates distance, physical and psychological, and incorporates automatic conditions of exclusion. As we understand that it differs, that it does not attend to the nearest, it causes an immediate distancing. The odd, the unequal, seems to obey inverse rules.

But it is sense that the opposites produce tension among themselves. And the opportune interrelation of the equal with the different induces attractive phenomena of estrangement, to effective contrasts. In his presence, our most open capacity for assimilation and disposition may arise. It is necessary to know how to see and gather, look and measure the extent of the opposition. With a well-deserved balance between diverse we can discover and propose new paths of resolution, and in its relevance find the ultimate meaning.

Let’s proceed by the capable question.

Is it the same or different?

With luck it will be the same and different at the same time.
So be it.
