Abstract

Maybe if I hadn't studied architecture I would never have drawn. Understand me. It's not that I didn't know how to draw. I think it was the only thing I knew how to do before starting my degree. And if I didn't opt for Fine Arts it was because I didn't see much of a future and economic prosperity in the latter. Although it's true that I realised sooner rather than later that knowing how to draw didn't go hand in hand with knowing how to design. And vice versa.

I began to draw comics or comic strips in an amateur way years after starting my Architecture degree, as part of a project on the Ninth Art for the Aesthetics subject. This study awakened in me a sudden interest in comics and, collaterally, provoked a kind of challenge. I wanted to test whether it was easy to create a story, starting with something small.
