Abstract

In 2022 we lost two works by two masters: the monastery of Santa Inés (1964), by Coello de Portugal, and the Vallet de Goytisolo house (1956), by Coderch. It had been a quiet time. Five years had already passed since January 2017, when we learned of the demolition of Sota's Guzmán house (1972) and its replacement by a building much more in keeping with the tastes of its new owner.

On that occasion the disappearance came as a surprise. In the cases of Coello and Coderch they were deaths foretold, despite several unsuccessful attempts to prevent it.
