Hasta el 8 de enero de 2012, se muestra en el Real Jardín Botánico de Madrid una selección de fotografías de la tercera edición del premio Prix Pictet. Celebrado en 2010 bajo el tema ‘Crecimiento’, el certamen internacional sobre fotografía y sostenibilidad organizado por el banco privado con sede en Ginebra que le da nombre, seleccionó a doce finalistas: Christian Als, Edward Burtynsky, Stéphane Couturier, Chris Jordan, Yeondoo Jung, Vera Lutter, Nyaba Leon Ouedraogo, Taryn Simon, Thomas Struth, Guy Tillimù y el norteamericano Mitch Epstein, quien obtuvo finalmente el premio dotado con 100.000 francos suizos (cerca de 83.000 euros) por su serie de fotografías American Power.
