El próximo Miércoles 9 de mayo, el arquitecto y experto en nuevos métodos de construcción a partir de múltiples plataformas, Nader Tehrani, impartirá una conferencia en el auditorio del Instituto de Arquitectura Avanzada de Cataluña, IAAC, a las 19.30h. Bajo el título, DA DA NADAAA, Tehrani expondrá las contingencias espaciales, estructurales y organizativas que rodean el tema de la ornamentación en su obra. Investigaciones sobre aplicaciones de materiales, la industria y los nuevos medios y métodos de construcción, sobre todo en el área de fabricación digital, le han permitido liderar proyectos en diferentes campos como restaurantes y centros religiosos o el estadio de fútbol de los Thunder de Minnesota con una capacidad para 20.000 personas, además de obras de infraestructura en Corea, Hong Kong, Singapur, Kuwait y EE.UU.
Tehrani combina la docencia y la dirección del departamento de arquitectura en la MIT School of Architecture de Massachusetts (EE.UU.) con el ejercicio de la profesión en el estudio NADAAA (Boston, EE.UU), dónde, junto a sus socios Dan Gallagher y Katherine Faulkner, idean proyectos innovadores en investigación y desarrollo de nuevas vías de fabricación, que a partir de colaboraciones interdisciplinarias consiguen un diálogo productivo con la industria de la construcción. La trayectoria de Nader Tehrani ha sido reconocida con premios internacionales entre los que destacan el Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award in Architecture, el American Academy of Arts and Letters Architecture Award, el United States Artists Architecture and Design Award o trece Progressive Architecture Awards.
