Arte y arquitectura se fusionan en la 16ª edición del Taller Vertical de la ESARQ-UIC. De la mano de la artista Eugènia Balcells, medalla al mérito en las bellas artes 2009 alumnos y profesores de la Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de la Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (ESARQ-UIC) están abordando esta semana en el marco de la 16ª edición del Taller Vertical una serie de investigaciones sobre la materia, la luz y la forma en la estructura platónica del cubo.
El Taller Vertical de la ESARQ-UIC, que en la presente edición lleva por título “Arquitecturas esenciales“, se inauguró el jueves 5 de septiembre con una conferencia a cargo de la propia artista y, tras una semana de trabajo, los proyectos se levantarán a escala real en los exteriores del Campus Barcelona la mañana del próximo jueves 12 de septiembre, día que se realizará la corrección final, el jury estará compuesto por Eugènia Balcells, Eulalia Bosch, Alfons Puigarnau, coordinador del Taller y Fernando Marzá, vocal de cultura del COAC. Por la tarde (18h) se entregarán los premios a los tres mejores proyectos.
Todos los alumnos que participan en el taller, de segundo a quinto del grado en Arquitectura, presentarán por equipos sus propuestas para los tres cubos, en los que han aplicado el lenguaje creativo de la artista catalana Eugènia Balcells para representar un cubo simbólico, un cubo cósmico y un cubo antropológico. En esta edición, el Taller Vertical de la ESARQ enfoca el trabajo desde el punto de vista creativo al trabajar la relación entre arte y arquitectura de la mano de la prestigiosa artista catalana, y refuerza así la transversalidad y ampllitud de miras que todo estudiante de arquitectura debe que tener para afrontar la realidad.
En esta 16ª edición, la ESARQ-UIC vuelve a vincularse con las empresas del sector como Onducart, SA; Mecalux, SA, y LQ-LUX. para poder llevar a cabo los prototipos 1/1.
