La Exposición 420 Nominees presenta, a través de imágenes y planos, las 420 obras nominadas para el Premio de Arquitectura Contemporánea de la Unión Europea – Premio Mies van der Rohe 2015. La exposición estará abierta al público en la ETSAB, Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Barcelona, desde el 2 de Febrero hasta el 19 Marzo de 2015.
El objetivo del Premio, organizado por la Fundació Mies van der Rohe y la Unión Europea, es reconocer y elogiar la excelencia de la arquitectura construida en Europa en los últimos dos años.
La propuesta de los nominadores para esta edición incluye viviendas, establecimientos culturales, centros educativos deportivos, oficinas, proyectos comerciales e institucionales, proyectos de infraestructuras y urbanos con el denominador común de la aportación que todas estas obras hacen a la construcción de la ciudad. En este sentido, el Premio aspira a ser una plataforma para la investigación, desarrollo e implementación de una práctica arquitectónica sostenible que promueve los beneficios de un crecimiento social, cultural y económico sostenible.

420 works nominated for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award 2015 will be exhibited at Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB). The exhibition will remain open at the hall of the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB), from February 2 to March 19, 2015.
The aim of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture is to highlight recent, excellent examples of architectural creativity of works which are less than two years old and to underline that modern architecture is socially and culturally rooted in European cities and is important to people’s everyday lives.
The 420 works will compete for the Prize.
