Santiago acogerá durante el mes de abril de 2012 las sesiones del IV Congreso Internacional de Patología y Rehabilitación de Edificios, en el que participarán más de mil especialistas de todo el mundo. La reunión fue presentada ayer en la sede compostelana del Colegio de Arquitectos de Galicia, y en el acto estuvieron presentes el alcalde de Santiago, Sánchez Bugallo; el conselleiro de Medio Ambiente e Infraestructuras, Agustín Hernández, y el decano del colegio de Galicia, Celestino García Braña.

Las tres entidades participan en la organización del congreso, junto con la Facultad de Ingeniería de la Universidad de Oporto, la Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña, y la Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de A Coruña. Es la primera vez que la reunión tiene lugar fuera de Oporto, donde se celebraron las tres anteriores ediciones, de forma que representa «una responsabilidad de mucha envergadura», en palabras del decano, pero también la oportunidad de divulgar técnicas de rehabilitación y dar a conocer el trabajo que se desarrolla en Galicia.

As tres entidades participan na organización do congreso, canda a Facultade de Enxeñaría da Universidade do Porto, a Universidade Politécnica de Cataluña, e a Escola Técnica Superior de Arquitectura da Coruña. É a primeira vez que a reunión ten lugar fóra do Porto, onde se celebraron as tres anteriores edicións, de xeito que representa «unha responsabilidade de moita envergadura», en palabras do decano, pero tamén a oportunidade de divulgar técnicas de rehabilitación e dar a coñecer o traballo que se desenvolve en Galicia.

Three companies participate in the congressional organisation, together with the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, and the Superior Architecture Technical School of La Coruña. It is the first time that the meeting takes place out of Porto, where the three previous editions were celebrated, in such a way that represents «a responsibility of a lot of significance», in words of the dean, but also the opportunity of spreading techniques of rehabilitation and to announce the work that it takes place in Galicia.
