As burnt blight. Christian García Bello

As burnt blight is an agilización of the creative process by Christian García Bello (A Coruña, 1986) towards the rotundity contained of the gesture, and towards the severity extreme of a character in concrete and certainly radical evasion. This evasion is a loyalty towards one itself, finding of the temporary thing that tends and stratifies towards the top thing; and it is an attribute of the transcendent individuality that, besides the integrity that demands him, is also a product of the inflexion of the reflection and his conversion in object: the three-dimensional, not equivocal materiality and, less even, derivative and desinencial, in which to shelter, to be situated, and refundarse. The not banal complexion of the installation site-specific establishes a logical unit with the space (emptiness, light and certain apparent perspectives) that distinguishes the surrounding way, and torsiona in a succession of vertical and horizontal protest tensions of a pure and reasoned geometry. And the utilization of the wood, of the graphite, of the rope, it texturizes this framework primary, insistent and focal, affirmation of the inviolable of the man and of his substantive uniqueness.

“My individual Como burnt blight, comisariada for Alberto Carton, will remain exposed in the CGAC until June 14. In her I present a series of unpublished and specific pieces for the space that they travel between the sculpture and the installation and that they are a fruit of a long work of workshop and in parallel to the project Finisterre/Land’s End scholarship holder for the Injuve in his summons of 2013. In them I continue my exploration on the axes of my work: the individual before the landscape and his own existence. For it I use of already habitual materials in my work of last years since they are the wood (treated with mineral pigments like the coal or the graphite), the metal, the rope and the sayal of wool.”
