Bien conocida es la pasi\u00f3n del maestro portugu\u00e9s por la arquitectura vern\u00e1cula, compleja y sencilla a un tiempo, construida a lo largo de generaciones en base a un territorio, una econom\u00eda, un clima, una cultura&#8230;arquitectura\u00a0sucesivamente\u00a0inclusiva. Cuenta Juan Domingo Santos que una ocasi\u00f3n -en R\u00edo de Janeiro- coincid\u00edan Siza y Niemeyer, se encontraban por vez primera en persona no sin expectaci\u00f3n. Ante la pregunta recurrente del periodista -qu\u00e9 es la arquitectura- solo contest\u00f3 el segundo:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u00abLa arquitectura es levedad\u00bb. <\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Siza eligi\u00f3 guardar silencio, responder algo m\u00e1s tarde, a solas con Juan Domingo. Para Siza, nos dicen como quien desvela un secreto,<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u00abLa arquitectura es continuidad\u00bb.<\/em><sup>1<\/sup><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cuando se revisa alguno de los \u00faltimos proyectos de \u00c1varo Siza, el <a href=\"http:\/\/madc-arquitectos.tumblr.com\/post\/143471885730\/aproximaciones-sucesivas-%C3%A1lvaro-siza-y-la\">Atrio<\/a>\u00a0de la Alhambra por ejemplo, resulta sencillo identificar estrategias comunes, recursos presentes en el conjunto de su obra anterior. El dibujo de cada elemento se aborda desde una atenci\u00f3n propia, espec\u00edfica, surgiendo la arquitectura lentamente como una\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/dibujar-es-explorar-miguel-angel-diaz-camacho\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">exploraci\u00f3n<\/a>, como la suma de todas esas aproximaciones sucesivas:<sup>2\u00a0<\/sup><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u00abYo dibujo mucho. Dibujo sobre todo para\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/convivir-con-lo-imperfecto-miguel-angel-diaz-camacho\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DESPEJAR DUDAS<\/a>. [&#8230;] Dibujo y dibujo hasta que las ideas se van aclarando y encuentro por fin apoyos m\u00e1s s\u00f3lidos\u00bb.<\/em><sup>3<\/sup><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La arquitectura como una lenta formaci\u00f3n de resina, silenciosa pero infatigable, ajena a la disruptiva y vertiginosa secuencia de la contemporaneidad.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u00abDe alguna forma, todas mis obras son una sola obra\u00bb<\/em>.<sup>4<\/sup><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En el Atrio de Granada resuenan los patios de sus casas primeras cerca de Oporto, las geograf\u00edas bien aprendidas en Machu Picchu o la vida entre los jardines y acequias de la propia Alhambra: fundamentos \u00ab<a href=\"https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/es\/contemporaneos-miguel-angel-diaz-camacho\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">contempor\u00e1neos<\/a>\u00ab. Como si en el fondo la historia toda de la arquitectura fuera la Historia de una sola obra, la historia de un \u00fanico rostro que vuelve desde el espejo una y otra vez a lo largo del tiempo en un incesante rehacer(se), un retorno semejante pero siempre distinto: como el\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/es\/un-orden-hecho-de-tejidos-mario-desaulo-perez\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">desorden<\/a>\u00a0de la mesa tras el banquete o los bultos del naufragio en la orilla tras la marea.
