Ellos nombraron a su isla \u201cManahatta\u201d, que significa isla de muchas monta\u00f1as. Nosotros utilizamos el t\u00e9rmino \u201cManahatta\u201d para referirnos a la isla, tal como se hac\u00eda en 1609 y \u201cManhattan\u201d para referirnos a la metr\u00f3polis de hoy.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>.<\/em>El proyecto Manahatta tiene como objetivo reconstruir la historia natural de la ciudad de Nueva York, unas horas antes que Henry Hudson arribara hace 400 a\u00f1os. El Proyecto empez\u00f3 hace una d\u00e9cada, cuando el ecologista Dr. Eric Sanderson, un nativo californiano se traslad\u00f3 a la ciudad de Nueva York para trabajar en el famoso <em>Wildlife Conservation Society<\/em> en el Zool\u00f3gico del Bronx. El Dr. Sanderson entendi\u00f3 que para apreciar ampliamente el paisaje de concreto, de calles y edificios, que ser\u00eda su nueva casa, deber\u00eda \u201cretornar en el tiempo\u201d a fin de recrear su ecolog\u00eda. Como ecologista, el Dr. Sanderson utiliza t\u00e9cnicas de an\u00e1lisis espacial para proteger la vida silvestre en paisajes modernos. They appointed to his island \u201cManahatta\u201d, that means island of a lot of mountains. We use the term \u201cManahatta\u201d to refer us to the island, such as it did\u00a0 in 1609 and \u201cManhattan\u201d to refer us to the metropoles of today.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The project Manahatta has like aim reconstruct the natural history of the city of New York, some hours before that Henry Hudson arrived 400 years ago. The Project began does a decade, when the environmentalist Dr. Eric Sanderson, a native Californian moved\u00a0 to the city of New York to work in the famous Wildlife Conservation Society in the Zoo of the Bronx. The Dr. Sanderson understood that to appreciate widely the landscape of concrete, of streets and buildings, that would be his new house, would have to \u201creturn in the time\u201d to end to re-create his ecology.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Like environmentalist, the Dr. Sanderson uses technicians of space analysis to protect the wild life in modern landscapes.
