El primero se corporiza al definir el plano horizontal rector en el punto m\u00e1s alto del terreno, para que, a partir de esa horizontal, el edificio descienda copiando la topograf\u00eda irregular de la ladera. El segundo resulta al mutar el concepto de claustro tradicional por una disposici\u00f3n m\u00e1s compleja, donde el patio no es el espacio de expansi\u00f3n de las habitaciones que lo rodean sino el sost\u00e9n de vol\u00famenes y circulaciones que lo cruzan para enlazar diferentes puntos del programa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ambas disposiciones alinean la respuesta enf\u00e1tica de Le Corbusier a un programa que promueve la introspecci\u00f3n, en un sitio que tambi\u00e9n presenta una sugestiva complejidad. El terreno donde se construy\u00f3 el convento fue adquirido por los dominicos, un predio de 80 hect\u00e1reas con bosques y una granja en la falda de una colina en Eveux-sur-arbresle. El programa se resume a una iglesia, una sala capitular, alojamiento para 100 dominicos, escuela y biblioteca. Haciendo \u201cuso\u201d de la irregular topograf\u00eda el convento ofrece contrastes determinantes, mediando una fachada palpitante sobre el valle, donde las celdas privadas ubicadas en los dos \u00faltimos pisos, modelan con sus balcones un car\u00e1cter que no se repite en el resto del edificio. En el piso inferior, la sala de seminarios tiene pa\u00f1os de vidrio en toda la superficie exterior, dividido por montantes verticales de hormig\u00f3n que siguen una secuencia dise\u00f1ada por Xenakis. Las transparencias y las sombras moduladas colisionan con el macizo vertical de 5 niveles, separado por una raja de aire que establece la disociaci\u00f3n entre la privacidad del monasterio y el espacio p\u00fablico de culto.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En planta, los lados interiores del edificio muestran variaciones que se\u00f1alan los diferentes usos de cada piso. En el nivel de acceso, el corredor que vincula los espacios p\u00fablicos muestra carpinter\u00edas dise\u00f1adas en base a un cuadrado modulado que recuerda los ejercicios pict\u00f3ricos de Mondrian. Cada habitaci\u00f3n tiene una carpinter\u00eda que cubre la totalidad del lado exterior y un balc\u00f3n que permite graduar el ingreso de la luz solar. Los muros presentan una textura rugosa y pesada que solo se aligera en el lugar donde se ubica la mesa de lectura.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El patio central est\u00e1 atravesado por dos pasillos perpendiculares que vinculan todas las funciones p\u00fablicas. Una circulaci\u00f3n conduce desde el acceso a la sala, la otra desde las celdas a la iglesia; ambas se encuentran verticalmente bajo un techo inclinado. El volumen principal presenta en cada lado de su longitud dos vol\u00famenes adosados. Uno de forma irregular que contiene la cripta, donde predominan tres grandes lucernarios y amplias superficies cubiertas de colores primarios; otro rectangular en el lado opuesto donde se encuentra la sacrist\u00eda iluminada por siete lucernarios geom\u00e9tricos. Ambas construyen el transepto, fundando una singular versi\u00f3n de la planta en cruz latina de la iglesia tradicional. El altar se ubica donde se cruzan los ejes de esas figuras. Los muros macizos, verticales y desnudos de la nave principal solo se interrumpen por dos hendiduras horizontales: una abierta al sol naciente y la otra al poniente. El edificio combina juegos tipol\u00f3gicos, espaciales y funcionales que se apartan de prototipos hist\u00f3ricos, pero que est\u00e1n imbuidos por el esp\u00edritu de su gen. O primeiro se corporiza ao definir o plano horizontal reitor no punto m\u00e1is alto do terreo, para que, a partir desa horizontal, o edificio descenda copiando a topograf\u00eda irregular da ladeira. O segundo resulta ao mutar o concepto de claustro tradicional por unha disposici\u00f3n m\u00e1is complexa, onde o patio non \u00e9 o espazo de expansi\u00f3n das habitaci\u00f3ns que o rodean sen\u00f3n o sost\u00e9n de volumes e circulaci\u00f3ns que o cruzan para enlazar diferentes puntos do programa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ambas as disposici\u00f3ns ali\u00f1an a resposta enf\u00e1tica de Lle Corbusier a un programa que promove a introspecci\u00f3n, nun sitio que tam\u00e9n presenta unha suxestiva complexidade. O terreo onde se constru\u00edu o convento foi adquirido polos dominicos, un predio de 80 hect\u00e1reas con bosques e unha granxa na saia dun outeiro en Eveux-sur- arbresle. O programa res\u00famese a unha igrexa, unha sala capitular, aloxamento para 100 dominicos, escola e biblioteca. Facendo \u201cuso\u201d da irregular topograf\u00eda o convento ofrece contrastes determinantes, mediando unha fachada palpitante sobre o val, onde as celas privadas situadas nos dous \u00faltimos pisos, modelan cos seus balc\u00f3ns un car\u00e1cter que non se repite no resto do edificio. No piso inferior, a sala de seminarios ten panos de vidro en toda a superficie exterior, dividido por montantes verticais de formig\u00f3n que seguen unha secuencia dese\u00f1ada por Xenakis. As transparencias e as sombras moduladas chocan co macizo vertical de 5 niveis, separado por unha racha de aire que establece a disociaci\u00f3n entre a privacidade do mosteiro e o espazo p\u00fablico de culto.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En planta, os lados interiores do edificio mostran variaci\u00f3ns que sinalan os diferentes usos de cada piso. No nivel de acceso, o corredor que vincula os espazos p\u00fablicos mostra carpinter\u00edas dese\u00f1adas en base a un cadrado modulado que lembra os exercicios pict\u00f3ricos de Mondrian. Cada habitaci\u00f3n ten unha carpinter\u00eda que cobre a totalidade ao lado exterior e un balc\u00f3n que permite graduar o ingreso da luz solar. Os muros presentan unha textura rugosa e pesada que s\u00f3 se alixeira no lugar onde se sit\u00faa a mesa de lectura.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">O patio central est\u00e1 atravesado por dous corredores perpendiculares que vinculan todas as funci\u00f3ns p\u00fablicas. Unha circulaci\u00f3n conduce desde o acceso \u00e1 sala, a outra desde as celas \u00e1 igrexa; ambas se atopan verticalmente baixo un teito inclinado. Un de forma irregular que cont\u00e9n a cripta, onde predominan tres grandes lucernarios e amplas superficies cubertas de cores primarias; outro rectangular no lado oposto onde se atopa a sancrist\u00eda iluminada por sete lucernarios xeom\u00e9tricos. Ambas constr\u00faen o transepto, fundando unha singular versi\u00f3n da planta en cruz latina da igrexa tradicional. O altar sit\u00faase onde se cruzan os eixos desas figuras. Os muros macizos, verticais e espidos da nave principal s\u00f3 interr\u00f3mpense por d\u00faas hendiduras horizontais: unha aberta ao sol nacente e a outra ao po\u00f1ente. The first is embodied by defining the horizontal plane governing the highest point of the terrain, so that, from that horizontal, the building descends copying the irregular topography of the slope. The second is to mutate the concept of traditional cloister by a more complex arrangement, where the patio is not the space of expansion of the rooms that surround it but the support of volumes and circulations that cross it to link different points of the program.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Both provisions align Le Corbusier&#8217;s emphatic response to a program that promotes introspection, in a site that also presents a suggestive complexity. Making \u201cuse\u201c of the irregular topography the convent offers decisive contrasts, mediating a throbbing fa\u00e7ade over the valley, where the private cells located in the last two floors, model with their balconies a character that is not repeated in the rest of the building. On the lower floor, the seminar room has glass cloths on the entire exterior surface, divided by vertical concrete pillars that follow a sequence designed by Xenakis. The transparencies and the modulated shadows collide with the 5-level vertical massif, separated by a slit of air that establishes the dissociation between the privacy of the monastery and the public space of worship.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In plan, the interior sides of the building show variations that indicate the different uses of each floor. At the access level, the corridor linking the public spaces shows carpentry designed on the basis of a modulated square that recalls Mondrian&#8217;s pictorial exercises. Each room has a carpentry that covers the entire exterior and a balcony that allows the entry of sunlight. The walls have a rough and heavy texture that only lightens in the place where the reading table is located.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The central patio is crossed by two perpendicular corridors that link all public functions. One circulation leads from the access to the room, the other from the cells to the church; both are located vertically under a sloping roof. The main volume presents two side-by-side volumes on each side of its length. One of irregular shape that contains the crypt, where three large skylights and large surfaces covered with primary colors predominate; another rectangular one on the opposite side where the sacristy is lit by seven geometric skylights. Both build the transept, founding a unique version of the Latin cross plan of the traditional church. The altar is located where the axes of these figures intersect. The solid, vertical and bare walls of the main nave are interrupted only by two horizontal slits: one open to the rising sun and the other to the west.
