La revoluci\u00f3n \u2013como sus hermanadas rebeli\u00f3n y revuelta\u2013 es un espacio para el caos, invierte el orden establecido con una masa social entremezclada y devenida en multitud. Sin embargo, desde un estricto punto de vista material, la arquitectura tambi\u00e9n puede ser definida por muros\u200a\u2014\u200ay huecos en estos: ventanas, puertas, etc.\u200a\u2014\u200ay suelos. Ambos definen la forma en la que el cuerpo puede moverse por el espacio: limitando los desplazamientos horizontales, variando los puntos de vista verticales.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u00bfEra esta condici\u00f3n de la arquitectura la que podr\u00eda evitar la revoluci\u00f3n, su imposici\u00f3n de limitar la movilidad? <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Autoridad sobre el cuerpo<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bifurcaciones.cl\/2015\/06\/reserva\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Foucault nos advierte<\/a>\u00a0que, en realidad, ni el arquitecto ni la arquitectura tienen realmente autoridad sobre el cuerpo<sup>1<\/sup>: yo puedo usar herramientas para abrir muros, puedo desplazarme entre huecos, etc\u2026 un pensamiento similar al que expone <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arquine.com\/vigilar-controlar-y-castigar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Geoff Manaugh<\/a> en su \u00faltimo libro, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.es\/gp\/product\/0374117268\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=3638&amp;creative=24630&amp;creativeASIN=0374117268&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=veredes-21&amp;linkId=4a61ff7c7da5ae2572168e848595c00d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A Burglar\u2019s Guide to the City<\/a><\/em>, en el que invita a movernos por la arquitectura como en un juego de ladrones y polic\u00edas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Apunta <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Boris_Groys\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Boris Groys<\/a> en <a href=\"https:\/\/comunicacionymedios.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/11\/boris-groys-la-obligacic3b3n-del-disec3b1o-de-sc3ad.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>La obligaci\u00f3n del dise\u00f1o en s\u00ed<\/em><\/a> que el dise\u00f1o moderno se enfoc\u00f3 en la apariencia de las cosas como el lugar donde se pod\u00eda encontrar la esencia de las mismas: se trataba de la b\u00fasqueda de un dise\u00f1o puro, que eliminara lo superfluo. Ello era v\u00e1lido tanto para el dise\u00f1o burgu\u00e9s, como para el proletario:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u201cla revoluci\u00f3n deb\u00eda ser un acto radical que purificara a la sociedad de toda forma de ornamento\u201d. <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El ornamento es un crimen, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arquine.com\/tatuajes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">como dec\u00eda Adolf Loos,<\/a> es amoral, no es propio de los hombres modernos. Se trataba pues de una condici\u00f3n tanto est\u00e9tica como \u00e9tica.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El dise\u00f1o moderno era, adem\u00e1s, un arte total, que se enfoca en dise\u00f1ar cada uno de los aspectos de la vida desde las cualidades antes descritas.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong> <em>\u201cLa forma \u00faltima de dise\u00f1o es el dise\u00f1o del sujeto\u201d.<\/em> <\/strong><\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El dise\u00f1o moderno era, por tanto, un dise\u00f1o absoluto en el que el hombre (un \u201chombre nuevo\u201d que deb\u00eda dejar atr\u00e1s aquello que Le Corbusier llamaba la \u201cbestia humana\u201d) se convierte en un objeto m\u00e1s.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cEn un mundo de dise\u00f1o total, el hombre se vuelve una cosa dise\u00f1ada, una suerte de objeto en el mundo, un cad\u00e1ver a ser exhibido p\u00fablicamente\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ante tal panorama, este nuevo hombre es un prisionero que s\u00f3lo puede hacer una cosa: gestionar la imagen de su propio cuerpo, de su propio cad\u00e1ver.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En nuestra <a href=\"https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/la-sociedad-del-espectaculo-guy-debord-online-experimentourbano\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>sociedad del espect\u00e1culo<\/em><\/a>, todos somos tanto espectadores (consumistas) que gastan su tiempo observando a los dem\u00e1s como productores de un yo devenido imagen-simulacro que reclama, de forma constante, un segundo de atenci\u00f3n \u2013para evitar as\u00ed que la aceleraci\u00f3n del tiempo nos opaque y nos deje fuera del mundo. Es decir, gastamos nuestro tiempo siempre autoproduciendo nuestra apariencia, nos dise\u00f1amos en la superficie y nos vaciamos de contenido, porque el contenido no importa porque nadie lo mira, ya que no tenemos tiempo para contemplar ni reflexionar, por as\u00ed decir.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cEl contenido es completamente irrelevante, porque cambia constantemente\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mi yo dise\u00f1ado, m\u00edo de m\u00ed pero para los dem\u00e1s, se ha convertido en una imagen superficial que, pese a su poco espesor, puede ser pol\u00edtica. Tal vez el alma, como una cosa profunda, se haya extinguido, convirti\u00e9ndose, como dice Groys, en<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cel ropaje de su apariencia social, pol\u00edtica y est\u00e9tica,\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">en la que uno se dise\u00f1a frente a los dem\u00e1s como una condici\u00f3n pol\u00edtica del ser, en una performance de su propia vida. La arquitectura ya no es un elemento que contiene nuestra potencia a trav\u00e9s de sus condiciones materiales, de sus paredes y techos, sino que se inscribe en nuestra superficie como parte del nosotros-imagen. As\u00ed pues, no \u201chabitamos\u201d un lugar porque sea c\u00f3modo o confortable, lo hacemos como una extensi\u00f3n de nuestra apariencia, dise\u00f1amos y decoramos nuestros interiores de acuerdo a esta idea, aunque ello nos obligue a vivir en una econom\u00eda precaria.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arquine.com\/otra-visualidad-arquitectonica\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">La arquitectura en tiempos de <em>Instagram<\/em><\/a> <\/strong><\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ser\u00e1 aquella que sirva como un complemento m\u00e1s. Obstinados por\u200a\u2014\u200adesde nuestra piel a nuestros espacios\u2013, ahora s\u00ed quiz\u00e1s podamos ver por que ya no tenemos revoluci\u00f3n: porque tenemos arquitectura \u2013la del yo\u2013 que puede evitarla, una en permanente construcci\u00f3n de nuestra imagen muerta y a la que dedicamos todo nuestro esfuerzo. De ah\u00ed que s\u00f3lo tengamos tiempo para el dise\u00f1o, de ah\u00ed que no tengamos tiempo para la revoluci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A menos que sea de Pepsi, claro.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pedro Hern\u00e1ndez \u00b7 arquitecto<br \/>\nMadrid. This was true for bourgeois design as well as for the proletariat:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u201cthe revolution should be a radical act that purifies society of all forms of ornament\u201d. <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The ornament is a crime, as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arquine.com\/tatuajes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Adolf Loos<\/a> said, it is amoral, it is not characteristic of modern men. M\u00e1s bien, me interesa entender c\u00f3mo las representaciones de la arquitectura, el paisaje, el dise\u00f1o o el territorio construyen y materializan determinados discursos ideol\u00f3gicos, imponiendo posturas, subjetividades y formas de acci\u00f3n sobre los cuerpos que la habitan. En mi trabajo edito estos discursos \u2013sus im\u00e1genes, sus historias o sus restos materiales\u2013 y reelaboro comentarios cr\u00edticos que ponen en evidencia sus controversias y contradicciones, formaliz\u00e1ndolos en diversos formatos como textos, fotograf\u00edas, v\u00eddeos, objetos o instalaciones, muchas veces entrecruzados entre s\u00ed. He publicado art\u00edculos y ensayos en diversos medios de Estados Unidos, Italia, Croacia, Espa\u00f1a, Chile y M\u00e9xico. M\u00e1s bien, me interesa entender c\u00f3mo las representaciones de la arquitectura, el paisaje, el dise\u00f1o o el territorio construyen y materializan determinados discursos ideol\u00f3gicos, imponiendo posturas, subjetividades y formas de acci\u00f3n sobre los cuerpos que la habitan. En mi trabajo edito estos discursos \u2013sus im\u00e1genes, sus historias o sus restos materiales\u2013 y reelaboro comentarios cr\u00edticos que ponen en evidencia sus controversias y contradicciones, formaliz\u00e1ndolos en diversos formatos como textos, fotograf\u00edas, v\u00eddeos, objetos o instalaciones, muchas veces entrecruzados entre s\u00ed. He publicado art\u00edculos y ensayos en diversos medios de Estados Unidos, Italia, Croacia, Espa\u00f1a, Chile y M\u00e9xico.
