Una joven que hace poco escrib\u00eda que le importaba poco Ronchamp y que prefer\u00eda lo m\u00e1s actual, podr\u00e1 llegar a dibujante, a t\u00e9cnica de CAD, a ayudante de construcci\u00f3n, pero para ser arquitecta tendr\u00e1 que adoptar un nivel de reflexi\u00f3n mayor. El que requiere una profesi\u00f3n dif\u00edcil que exige entender ra\u00edces y seguir el hilo de lo que ha sido.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Por eso quise, a mi edad, ir a Marsella a conocer la<a href=\"https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/modelo-abrio-caminos-oscar-tenreiro-degwitz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Unit\u00e9 <\/a>de Le Corbusier, una experiencia de vivienda que marc\u00f3 una \u00e9poca y condujo hacia caminos positivos y negativos, como toda experiencia bien o mal interpretada.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mi primera impresi\u00f3n de este edificio tiene que ver con el entusiasmo de Osvaldo Lares, arquitecto y music\u00f3logo, producto de una visita en torno a 1956, que lo llev\u00f3 a organizar sesiones de fotograf\u00edas a grupos de amigos de las cuales tuve noticia como estudiante a trav\u00e9s de mi hermano Jes\u00fas. Y pude adem\u00e1s, en publicaciones diversas, fotos, comentarios, saber lo que significaba. Ya graduado, como joven profesor interino, la estudi\u00e9 mejor porque me interesaba mucho en el tema de la vivienda. Pero la falta de espacio para la arquitectura que ha sido t\u00edpica de la pol\u00edtica de vivienda del Estado venezolano nunca me permiti\u00f3 poner mi granito de arena. Sin embargo la he seguido estudiando, como quien recurre a un texto fundamental, y siempre es posible encontrar alg\u00fan aspecto de inter\u00e9s que alimenta la pr\u00e1ctica diaria y sobre todo ense\u00f1a.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lo primera cosa que impresiona es, como me comentaba <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/El%C3%ADas_Toro\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">El\u00edas Toro<\/a>, la sorprendente actualidad del edificio. Cuando la propietaria de uno de los apartamentos nos explicaba la cocina, por ejemplo, me sorprend\u00eda que hace sesenta a\u00f1os se hubieran planteado los problemas con tanta claridad y se hubieran resuelto con el m\u00e1s eficiente dise\u00f1o, para lo cual <a href=\"https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/tag\/charlotte-perriand\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Charlotte Perriand<\/a> fue la mano derecha de Le Corbusier. La diferencia est\u00e1 s\u00f3lo en la tecnolog\u00eda disponible hoy, que aparte de que hubiera facilitado la soluci\u00f3n de muchos detalles ya no hace necesario el diario suministro de hielo para la heladera, como en los a\u00f1os cincuenta, sino que permite una nevera que muchos propietarios no encuentran donde poner.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_71320\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-71320\" style=\"width: 1279px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-71320 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Aprender-de-lo-que-ha-sido-\u00d3scar-Tenreiro-Degwitz-Unit\u00e9-Marsella-de-Le-Corbusier-interior.jpg\" alt=\"Unit\u00e9 d'Habitation en Marsella, 1947-52, Le Corbusier | Fotograf\u00eda: \u00d3scar Tenreiro Degwitz\" width=\"1279\" height=\"923\" srcset=\"https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Aprender-de-lo-que-ha-sido-\u00d3scar-Tenreiro-Degwitz-Unit\u00e9-Marsella-de-Le-Corbusier-interior.jpg 1279w, https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Aprender-de-lo-que-ha-sido-\u00d3scar-Tenreiro-Degwitz-Unit\u00e9-Marsella-de-Le-Corbusier-interior-300x216.jpg 300w, https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Aprender-de-lo-que-ha-sido-\u00d3scar-Tenreiro-Degwitz-Unit\u00e9-Marsella-de-Le-Corbusier-interior-1024x739.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1279px) 100vw, 1279px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-71320\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><span style=\"color: #999999;\">Unit\u00e9 d&#8217;Habitation en Marsella, 1947-52, Le Corbusier | Fotograf\u00eda: \u00d3scar Tenreiro Degwitz<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La sensaci\u00f3n de amplitud que da la doble altura en el estar y su vinculaci\u00f3n con el dormitorio es un logro a\u00fan insuperado en la vivienda social, y la optimizaci\u00f3n dimensional, expresada sobre todo en los dormitorios secundarios, largos y estrechos, ha sido asimilada hasta casi en t\u00e9rminos militantes por los propietarios de hoy, que consideran vivir all\u00ed un privilegio y que se han convertido en voceros de las ventajas del dise\u00f1o que una vez fue objeto de toda clase de controversias.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Los pasillos de acceso a los apartamentos, que dependen de la luz artificial, est\u00e1n en muy buen estado de conservaci\u00f3n y parecen no plantear mayores preguntas, aunque siempre me ha parecido que es el aspecto m\u00e1s problem\u00e1tico de la concepci\u00f3n de las Unit\u00e9s, particularmente en climas como el nuestro y en situaciones de escaso mantenimiento. Lo que plantea la cuesti\u00f3n de si no es la Unit\u00e9 y sus principios una propuesta asimilable por un nivel social y econ\u00f3mico que es m\u00e1s bien el de la clase media.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En los espacios que una vez fueron propuestos para habitaciones de visitantes funciona hoy un hotel en el cual por supuesto nos alojamos para ver todo de primera mano; y en el lugar destinado a tiendas, un restaurante con el tur\u00edstico nombre \u201cEl vientre del arquitecto\u201d que ofrece una comida de tanta calidad como cabe esperar en esa regi\u00f3n de Francia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Habr\u00eda muchas otras cosas que decir, pero desde hoy tenemos a\u00fan menos espacio y no quiero dejar de referirme a la inevitable visita a la terraza, donde funciona un preescolar y un gimnasio. All\u00ed la visita tuvo su punto m\u00e1s intenso porque este lugar sigue siendo hoy una obra maestra. Ofrece una vinculaci\u00f3n con el paisaje que puede llamarse primordial, porque se percibe por encima de un muro perimetral deliberadamente alto que suprime lo inmediato y acerca el mar y las colinas. Y convierte los elementos arquitect\u00f3nicos utilitarios (caja de ascensores, chimeneas de extracci\u00f3n) en objetos escult\u00f3ricos que, combinados a sitios de juego, escenario al aire libre y espacios de descanso, hacen del conjunto un evento est\u00e9tico que deja huella en lo \u00edntimo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Recorrimos mi mujer y yo este sitio en todas direcciones como quien va a un lugar muy conocido pero jam\u00e1s visitado que despertaba resonancias en muchos sentidos. Unha moza que hai pouco escrib\u00eda que lle importaba pouco Ronchamp e que prefer\u00eda o m\u00e1is actual, poder\u00e1 chegar a debuxante, a t\u00e9cnica de CAD, a axudante de construci\u00f3n, pero para ser arquitecta ter\u00e1 que adoptar un nivel de reflexi\u00f3n maior. O que require unha profesi\u00f3n dif\u00edcil que esixe entender ra\u00edces e seguir o f\u00edo do que foi.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Por iso quixen, \u00e1 mi\u00f1a idade, ir a Marsella a co\u00f1ecer a <a href=\"https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/gl\/modelo-abrio-caminos-oscar-tenreiro-degwitz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Unit\u00e9 de Le Corbusier<\/a>, unha experiencia de vivenda que marcou unha \u00e9poca e conduciu cara a cami\u00f1os positivos e negativos, como toda experiencia ben ou mal interpretada.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A mi\u00f1a primeira impresi\u00f3n deste edificio ten que ver co entusiasmo de Osvaldo Lareiras, arquitecto e music\u00f3logo, produto dunha visita ao redor de 1956, que o levou a organizar sesi\u00f3ns de fotograf\u00edas a grupos de amigos das cales tiven noticia como estudante a trav\u00e9s do meu irm\u00e1n Jes\u00fas. Con todo seguina estudando, como quen recorre a un texto fundamental, e sempre \u00e9 posible atopar alg\u00fan aspecto de interese que alimenta a pr\u00e1ctica diaria e sobre todo insignia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">O primeira cousa que impresiona \u00e9, como me comentaba <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/El%C3%ADas_Toro\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">El\u00edas Toro<\/a>, a sorprendente actualidade do edificio. Cando a propietaria dun dos apartamentos explic\u00e1banos a coci\u00f1a, por exemplo, sorprend\u00edame que fai sesenta anos expux\u00e9ronse os problemas con tanta claridade e houb\u00e9sense resolvido co m\u00e1is eficiente dese\u00f1o, para o que <a href=\"https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/gl\/tag\/charlotte-perriand\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Charlotte Perriand<\/a> foi a man dereita de Lle Corbusier. O que exp\u00f3n a cuesti\u00f3n de se non \u00e9 a Unit\u00e9 e os seus principios unha proposta asimilable por un nivel social e econ\u00f3mico que \u00e9 m\u00e1is ben o da clase media.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nos espazos que unha vez foron propostos para habitaci\u00f3ns de visitantes funciona hoxe un hotel no cal por suposto nos aloxamos para ver todo de primeira man; e no lugar destinado a tendas, un restaurante co tur\u00edstico nome \u201cO ventre do arquitecto\u201d que ofrece unha comida de tanta calidade como cabe esperar nesa rexi\u00f3n de Francia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Haber\u00eda moitas outras cousas que dicir, pero desde hoxe temos a\u00ednda menos espazo e non quero deixar de referirme \u00e1 inevitable visita \u00e1 terraza, onde funciona un preescolar e un ximnasio. Al\u00ed a visita tivo o seu punto m\u00e1is intenso porque este lugar segue sendo hoxe unha obra mestra. Ofrece unha vinculaci\u00f3n coa paisaxe que pode chamarse primordial, porque se percibe por encima dun muro perimetral deliberadamente alto que suprime o inmediato e achega o mar e os outeiros. E converte os elementos arquitect\u00f3nicos utilitarios (caixa de ascensores, chemineas de extracci\u00f3n) en obxectos escult\u00f3ricos que, combinados a sitios de xogo, escenario ao aire libre e espazos de descanso, fan do conxunto un evento est\u00e9tico que deixa pegada no \u00edntimo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Percorremos a mi\u00f1a muller e eu este sitio en todas direcci\u00f3ns como quen vai a un lugar moi co\u00f1ecido pero xamais visitado que espertaba resonancias en moitos sentidos. A young woman who recently wrote that she cared little about Ronchamp and that she preferred the most current, will be able to become a draftsman, a CAD technician, a construction assistant, but to be an architect she will have to adopt a higher level of reflection. The one that requires a difficult profession that requires understanding roots and following the thread of what has been.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">That&#8217;s why I wanted, at my age, to go to Marseille to meet Le Corbusier&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/en\/modelo-abrio-caminos-oscar-tenreiro-degwitz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Unit\u00e9<\/a>, a housing experience that marked an era and led to positive and negative paths, like any experience well or badly interpreted.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">My first impression of this building has to do with the enthusiasm of Osvaldo Lares, architect and musicologist, product of a visit around 1956, which led him to organize photo shoots to groups of friends of which I had news as a student through of my brother Jesus. And I could also, in various publications, photos, comments, know what it meant. Once I graduated, as a young interim teacher, I studied it better because I was very interested in the subject of housing. But the lack of space for architecture that has been typical of the housing policy of the Venezuelan State never allowed me to do my bit. However, I have continued to study it, as one who uses a fundamental text, and it is always possible to find some aspect of interest that feeds the daily practice and especially teaches.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The first thing that impresses is, as <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/El%C3%ADas_Toro\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">El\u00edas Toro<\/a> told me, the surprising topicality of the building. When the owner of one of the apartments explained to us the kitchen, for example, I was surprised that sixty years ago the problems had been raised with such clarity and resolved with the most efficient design, for which <a href=\"https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/en\/tag\/charlotte-perriand\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Charlotte Perriand<\/a> was the right hand of Le Corbusier. What raises the question of whether the Unit\u00e9 and its principles is a proposal assimilable by a social and economic level that is rather that of the middle class.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the spaces that were once proposed for visitors&#8217; rooms, a hotel now operates in which of course we stayed to see everything first-hand; and in the place destined to shops, a restaurant with the tourist name \u201cThe Belly of the architect\u201d that offers a food of as much quality as can be expected in that region of France.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There would be many other things to say, but from today we have even less space and I do not want to stop referring to the inevitable visit to the terrace, where a preschool and a gym works. There the visit had its most intense point because this place remains today a masterpiece. It offers a connection with the landscape that can be called primordial, because it is perceived above a deliberately high perimeter wall that suppresses the immediate and brings the sea and the hills closer together. And it converts the utilitarian architectural elements (elevator box, extraction chimneys) into sculptural objects that, combined with play sites, outdoor scenery and resting spaces, make the whole an aesthetic event that leaves an imprint on the intimate.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">My wife and I walked this place in all directions like someone who goes to a well-known but never visited place that awoke resonances in many ways.
