Tras perder el matrimonio Maeght a su hijo de tan solo once a\u00f1os en 1953, su amigo el pintor y escultor <strong>Georges Braque<\/strong>, propone al coleccionista una aventura vital que de alg\u00fan modo habr\u00eda de girar en torno a la hermosa propiedad de los Maeght cerca de Niza: la construcci\u00f3n de una Fundaci\u00f3n de Arte (museo, taller y residencia para artistas), algo ins\u00f3lito para la \u00e9poca<sup>2<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La parcela era en realidad un paisaje en lo alto, una loma agreste habitada tan solo por un bosque mediterr\u00e1neo con generosas vistas sobre el mar. Cuentan que Sert realiz\u00f3 maquetas a escala 1:1 para reproducir aquella luz que a\u00fan resonaba en la memoria de Aim\u00e9, una luz cercana, casi visible al otro lado del horizonte de la Costa Azul. Se puede casi intuir la ligereza de los armazones provisionales en aquel lugar, su movimiento por la parcela -durante un a\u00f1o- buscando su mejor posici\u00f3n para las obras de Braque, Chagall o el propio Mir\u00f3.<sup>3<\/sup><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En la imagen un conjunto de objetos parece flotar en medio de una luz espesa, una constelaci\u00f3n desvinculada del suelo ante la sorprendente ausencia de sombras. En el taller de Mir\u00f3 la luz acepta por igual al lienzo o la butaca, la mesa o el taburete, la botella o la mecedora, convertidos aqu\u00ed en una suerte de ofrenda libre del<em>\u00a0carb\u00f3n abyecto de los d\u00edas\u00a0<\/em>(Caballero Bonald).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tal vez m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la atm\u00f3sfera homog\u00e9nea que exige el noble oficio de la pintura, m\u00e1s all\u00e1 incluso de la ilusoria percepci\u00f3n submarina e ingr\u00e1vida de\u00a0este extra\u00f1o bodeg\u00f3n cuyo orden desconocemos, tal vez dec\u00edamos, este grupo humano irrepetible y atormentado buscara en la luz el aliento mete\u00f3rico de un refugio universal: el\u00a0refugio de la luz.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Miguel \u00c1ngel D\u00edaz Camacho. La reconstrucci\u00f3n de esta capilla sirve a Braque como argumento bals\u00e1mico, introduciendo inmediatamente a continuaci\u00f3n la idea de la Fundaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><sup>3<\/sup> En este sentido, Sert pudo mantener \u00ablargas conversaciones\u00bb con los artistas. Contan que Sert realizou maquetas a escala 1:1 para reproducir aquela luz que a\u00ednda resoaba na memoria de Aim\u00e9, unha luz pr\u00f3xima, case visible al\u00e9n do horizonte da Costa Azul. P\u00f3dese case intu\u00edr a lixeireza dos armazones provisionais naquel lugar, o seu movemento pola parcela -durante un ano- buscando a s\u00faa mellor posici\u00f3n para as obras de Braque, Chagall ou o propio Mir\u00f3.<sup>3<\/sup><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Na imaxe un conxunto de obxectos parece flotar no medio dunha luz espesa, unha constelaci\u00f3n desvinculada do chan ante a sorprendente ausencia de sombras.
