El Archivo Pe\u00f1a Ganchegui<\/a><\/strong>, en colaboraci\u00f3n con el Departamento de Medio Ambiente, Planificaci\u00f3n Territorial y Vivienda del Gobierno Vasco, convoca un premio de car\u00e1cter bienal dirigido a arquitectos con menos de 10 a\u00f1os de experiencia, que se hayan titulado o tengan su actividad en el Pa\u00eds Vasco.<\/p>\n

Creado con la intenci\u00f3n de reconocer una joven trayectoria arquitect\u00f3nica e impulsar al mismo tiempo una carrera con proyecci\u00f3n emergente<\/strong>, el galard\u00f3n, que cuenta con una retribuci\u00f3n de 6.000 \u20ac en met\u00e1lico<\/strong>, pretende dar visibilidad a aquellas aportaciones que, adem\u00e1s de suponer una ejemplar pr\u00e1ctica profesional, contribuyan a promover, desarrollar y consolidar la cultura arquitect\u00f3nica.<\/p>\n

Podr\u00e1n presentarse candidaturas individuales o colectivas, debiendo aportar los propios interesados sus m\u00e9ritos, que podr\u00e1n incluir obras, proyectos y trabajos de investigaci\u00f3n<\/strong> que supongan una aportaci\u00f3n en el campo de la Arquitectura, abarcando todos los \u00e1mbitos y escalas, desde el dise\u00f1o de objetos hasta las intervenciones en el territorio.<\/p>\n

El jurado<\/strong> de esta primera edici\u00f3n contar\u00e1 con la presencia de los arquitectos: Lluis Clotet<\/strong>, fundador del Studio Per<\/strong> y miembro del estudio Clotet Paricio<\/strong>; \u00c1ngela Garc\u00eda de Paredes<\/strong>, socia fundadora del estudio Paredes Pedrosa Arquitectos,<\/strong> y Carlos Quint\u00e1ns<\/strong>, director de las revistas Tect\u00f3nica y Archives,<\/strong> acompa\u00f1ados de la directora del Archivo Pe\u00f1a Ganchegui, Roc\u00edo Pe\u00f1a<\/strong>, y del Director de Vivienda y Arquitectura del Gobierno Vasco, Pablo Garc\u00eda Astrain<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Los interesados, que tienen hasta el 25 de julio<\/strong> para formalizar su inscripci\u00f3n, deber\u00e1n \u00a0presentar su candidatura antes del 5 de septiembre de 2017. El fallo se dar\u00e1 a conocer el 2 de octubre, coincidiendo con el D\u00eda Mundial de la Arquitectura. Con posterioridad se llevar\u00e1 a cabo una exposici\u00f3n de los trabajos finalistas.<\/p>\n

Creado coa intenci\u00f3n de reco\u00f1ecer unha nova traxectoria arquitect\u00f3nica e impulsar ao mesmo tempo unha carreira con proxecci\u00f3n emerxente<\/strong>, o galard\u00f3n, que conta cunha retribuci\u00f3n de 6.000\u20ac<\/strong> en met\u00e1lico, pretende dar visibilidade a aquelas achegas que, ademais de supo\u00f1er unha exemplar pr\u00e1ctica profesional, contrib\u00faan a promover, desenvolver e consolidar a cultura arquitect\u00f3nica.<\/p>\n

\"PremioPe\u00f1aGanchegui\"<\/p>\n

The Pe\u00f1a Ganchegui Archive<\/a>, in collaboration with the Department of Housing and Architecture of the Basque Government, convenes the PE\u00d1A GANCHEGUI Prize to the Young Basque Architecture, aimed at architects who, individually or collectively, carry out their professional work in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country or who have obtained in it the qualifying title for the exercise of their profession.<\/p>\n

This biennial Prize receives its name after the architect Luis Pe\u00f1a Ganchegui (O\u00f1ati 1926 – San Sebasti\u00e1n 2009), the highest reference of Basque Architecture in the second half of the 20th century.<\/p>\n

The award is granted with the intention of recognizing a young architectural trajectory and, at the same time, promoting a career with emerging projection, giving visibility to those contributions that, besides assuming an exemplary professional practice, contribute to promote, develop and consolidate the architectural culture.<\/p>\n

Therefore, the prize is not awarded to a specific work or job, but a set of works of a diverse nature. The prize rewards the incipient emergent trajectory of an architect or of a team led by one or several architects within their first 10 years of exercise after qualifying.<\/p>\n

All architects or teams led by architects can enter for the competition, provided that in addition to fulfilling the geographical requirement (having their headquarters in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country or having obtained the qualifying title in the same) they have obtained their qualifying title after June 15, 2007. In the case of teams, the requirement must be met by all the architects who integrate it.<\/p>\n

Architects who are family or work related with the members of the Jury, or those who have obtained it in an earlier edition, will not be eligible for the Pe\u00f1a Ganchegui Prize.<\/p>\n

It will be the candidates themselves who will present their candidacy, contributing their merits that may include works, projects and research that contribute to the field of Architecture, covering all areas and scales, from the design of objects to interventions on the territory.<\/p>\n

The Jury is sovereign to establish the procedure that it considers appropriate to judge the works in order to assess the criteria of professional capacity, originality, innovation, consistency and those others that it decides to incorporate in its judgment.<\/p>\n

The Jury will be composed of 5 members, including a representative of the Department of Environment, Territorial Planning and Housing of the Basque Government and a representative of the Archivo Pe\u00f1a Ganchegui, both of them with voice but without vote, to which three external members will be added with voice and vote, of which two, at least, must be architects. It will also count on a secretary, without voice or vote, appointed by the Archivo Pe\u00f1a Ganchegui.<\/p>\n

The Jury of the First Edition of the Pe\u00f1a Ganchegui Prize counts on the following external members:<\/p>\n

Lluis Clotet i Ball\u00fas (Barcelona, 1941), architect of the ETSA in Barcelona. He worked with Federico Correra and Alfonso Mil\u00e0 before founding \u00abStudio PER\u00bb in 1964 along with Pep Bonet, Cristian Cirici and \u00d3scar Tusquets, with whom he collaborated until 1981. In 1989 he partnered with Ignacio Paricio, who was awarded the National Cultural Heritage Prize in 1999. In 2010 he received the Spanish National Prize to Architecture.<\/p>\n

\u00c1ngela Garc\u00eda de Paredes (Madrid, 1958), doctor architect by the ETSA of Madrid, where she teaches Projects. After collaborating with Jos\u00e9 M. Garc\u00eda de Paredes she founded in 1990 with Ignacio Pedrosa the Paredes Pedrosa Arquitectos studio. Her work has been awarded with the Gold Medal for Merit in the Fine Arts 2014, the Mansilla Prize, the Eduardo Torroja Prize for Engineering and Architecture and the European Prize for intervention in Architectural Heritage AADIPA.<\/p>\n

Carlos Quint\u00e1ns Eiras (Senande-Mux\u00eda, 1962), architect by the ETSA of A Coru\u00f1a, where he is Professor of Construction since 1990. Member of the study Quint\u00e1ns Raya Crespo until 2002, he has been Professor of Projects at ESARQ in Barcelona, Director of the Tect\u00f3nica magazine and the Tectonicablog website since their creation, as well as curator, together with I\u00f1aki Carnicero, of the Spanish Pavilion at the 2016 Venice Biennale, pavilion that was awarded the Golden Lion trophy.<\/p>\n

The Jury will select a maximum of 10 finalists, one of which will be awarded a single prize of \u20ac 6,000. The selected candidates will receive an accreditation of their status as Finalists in the Pe\u00f1a Ganchegui Prize, which in the case of the winning architect or team will have an outstanding format.<\/p>\n
