Datos sobre alguien que no se ha preocupado por buscar la difusi\u00f3n de su trabajo en papel y por supuesto mucho menos a trav\u00e9s de recursos digitales. Manuel Gallego es un arquitecto ocupado en construir para mejorar lo que existe y preocupado por situar su trabajo en un marco adecuado que permita abrir caminos resolviendo las carencias que detecta. Su trabajo se sit\u00faa dentro de las necesarias reflexiones con el territorio y la historia, sin olvidarse de las herramientas con las que materializa lo proyectado, sin olvidarse de los recursos disponibles que maneja. Manuel es un arquitecto alejado de los que se ocupan \u00fanicamente por la forma y por su ego. Atento siempre a quienes le interesa la arquitectura. Nos ha ofrecido de forma generosa su sabidur\u00eda; aunque supongo que preferir\u00eda que dijese \u201csu conocimiento\u201d y as\u00ed evitar grandilocuencias incluso en la forma en la que le podamos describir.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sus doce miradas ser\u00e1n especiales para quien no tenga la fortuna de su proximidad y ser\u00e1n un momento de reflexi\u00f3n para quienes hemos tenido la suerte de estar en contacto con el y con su lugar de trabajo. Las doce miradas de Gallego ya estaban colgadas de las paredes de su estudio o apoyadas en alguna mesa que atrajese la mirada, apoyadas sobre un libro o encima de alg\u00fan plano .<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La selecci\u00f3n que presentar\u00e1 son im\u00e1genes que dejaba flotando por el estudio y que no estaban acompa\u00f1adas de su conversaci\u00f3n. Im\u00e1genes importantes que se pegaban a nuestra retina y a nuestra memoria y que el pr\u00f3ximo d\u00eda 6 estar\u00e1n acompa\u00f1adas de las palabras de Manuel Gallego, para dejarnos abiertos m\u00e1s y m\u00e1s caminos.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">Carlos Quintans, comisario<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Gallego<\/strong> es Premio Nacional de Arquitectura (1997) y ha sido Catedr\u00e1tico del Departamento de Proyectos y Urbanismo de la Escuela de Arquitectura de A Coru\u00f1a, as\u00ed como profesor invitado en universidades de todo el mundo. Entre sus obras, destacan las viviendas unifamiliar de Corrubedo (1970) o en O Carballo (1979), los premiados Museo de Bellas Artes de A Coru\u00f1a (1997) y Museo de las Peregrinaciones de Santiago de Compostela (2012), o los igualmente conocidos Complejo Presidencial de Galicia (2002) y Centro Cultural y Ayuntamiento de A Illa de Arousa (2005-2008).<\/p>\n<p>[:gl]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">O pasado m\u00e9rcores 6 de xullo de 2016 inaugurouse a exposici\u00f3n de <strong>Manuel Galego Jorreto<\/strong>, dentro do ciclo <strong>12miradas::Riverside<\/strong>, impulsado pola Corporaci\u00f3n Fillos de Rivera e Galer\u00eda Vilaseco Laboratorio Creativo. Manuel Galego \u00e9 un arquitecto ocupado en constru\u00edr para mellorar o que existe e preocupado por situar o seu traballo nun marco adecuado que permita abrir cami\u00f1os resolvendo as carencias que detecta. O seu traballo sit\u00faase dentro das necesarias reflexi\u00f3ns co territorio e a historia, sen esquecerse das ferramentas coas que materializa o proxectado, sen esquecerse dos recursos dispo\u00f1ibles que manexa. Manuel \u00e9 un arquitecto afastado dos que se ocupan unicamente pola forma e polo seu ego. Atento sempre a quen lle interesa a arquitectura. Ofreceunos de forma xenerosa a s\u00faa sabedor\u00eda; a\u00ednda que supo\u00f1o que preferir\u00eda que dixese \u201co seu co\u00f1ecemento\u201d e as\u00ed evitar grandilocuencias mesmo na forma na que lle podamos describir.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As s\u00faas doce miradas ser\u00e1n especiais para quen non te\u00f1a a fortuna da s\u00faa proximidade e ser\u00e1n un momento de reflexi\u00f3n para quen tiven a sorte de estar en contacto co e co seu lugar de traballo. Twelve Galician&#8217;s looks already were hung of the walls of his study or supported on some table that was attracting the look, supported on a book or on some plane.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The selection that he will present they are images that it was leaving floating for the study and that were not accompanied of his conversation. Important images that were sticking to our retina and to our memory and that next 6th will be accompanied of Manuel Gallego&#8217;s words, to make ourselves opened more and more ways.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">Carlos Quintans, curator<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Gallego<\/strong> is A National Prize of Architecture (1997) and has been Professor of the Project department and Urbanism of the School of Architecture of To Corunna, as well as teacher invited in universities of the whole world.
