A mediados del siglo XVIII y trav\u00e9s de Ann Lees, los Shakers<\/strong> <\/a>se\u00a0constituyen por primera vez como una comunidad protestante\u00a0escindida de los Qu\u00e1keros. Los principios esenciales de este\u00a0grupo son el celibato, la igualdad entre sexos, la comunidad de\u00a0bienes y la confesi\u00f3n. A medidos del siglo XIX son la comunidad\u00a0ut\u00f3pica m\u00e1s extendida del mundo si bien en la actualidad s\u00f3lo\u00a0un grupo se mantiene fiel a los principios originales en la ciudad de Sabbathday Lake en Maine, EEUU.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s de un interesante ejemplo de comunidad ut\u00f3pica, los\u00a0Shakers son un referente en la construcci\u00f3n de muebles de\u00a0madera y por supuesto de sillas. Las sillas de los Shakers no\u00a0destacan por su comodidad o por su originalidad formal y en\u00a0general son similares al mobiliario producido en su momento. La\u00a0aportaci\u00f3n de los Shakers se encuentra en una perfecta\u00a0ejecuci\u00f3n y dise\u00f1o del trabajo artesanal de la madera. Un\u00a0trabajo que tiene connotaciones religiosas siendo vivido como\u00a0camino de perfecci\u00f3n personal y comunitario.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

Un ejemplo brillante de dise\u00f1o artesanal es el cruce de tres\u00a0maderas de la tradicional mesa de escritorio Shaker. Un\u00a0complejo vaciado de las maderas permite que estas se crucen en\u00a0un punto y que el propio peso del tablero cierre la estructura.\u00a0El dise\u00f1o de la uni\u00f3n y el trabajo de su ejecuci\u00f3n quedan\u00a0ocultos cuando el montaje se completa.<\/p>\n

\"The-Shakers-03\"<\/p>\n

Los Shakers incluyeron en sus sillas soluciones tan refinadas\u00a0como el sistema de apoyo cont\u00ednuo de patas traseras. Mediante\u00a0un vaciado de los extremos de dichas patas, se alojaba un bot\u00f3n\u00a0semiesf\u00e9rico que a modo de r\u00f3tula gira dentro de la pata\u00a0garantizando el apoyo de la misma cuando la silla se inclina.\u00a0Mediante una perforaci\u00f3n en la pata se tensa el cord\u00f3n de cuero\u00a0que ata el bot\u00f3n a la pata permitiendo el movimiento del bot\u00f3n\u00a0sin que este se desprenda al levantar la silla.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\"The<\/p>\n

Si bien las comunidades Shaker han decaido a lo largo del\u00a0\u00faltimo siglo, la influencia en el dise\u00f1o de mobiliario no ha\u00a0dejado de crecer al ser reivinicada por la primera\u00a0generaci\u00f3n de dise\u00f1adores daneses contempor\u00e1neos. Resulta\u00a0especialmente evidente en el caso del dise\u00f1o de silla de\u00a0iglesia de 1936 obra de Jare Klint.<\/p>\n

Es interesante asimismo la intepretaci\u00f3n de la silla tradicional Shaker hecha a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s -1944- por B\u00f8rge Mogensen <\/span> a trav\u00e9s de la J39. Esta pieza recoge el sistema de travesa\u00f1os a diferente altura para fijaci\u00f3n del trenzado del asiento y es fundamental para entender toda una serie de dise\u00f1os posteriores realizados por Hans J. Wegener<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As cadeiras dos Shakers non destacan pola s\u00faa comodidade ou pola s\u00faa orixinalidade formal e en xeral son similares ao mobiliario producido no seu momento. A achega dos Shakers at\u00f3pase nunha perfecta execuci\u00f3n e dese\u00f1o do traballo artesanal da madeira. Un traballo que ten connotaci\u00f3ns relixiosas sendo vivido como cami\u00f1o de perfecci\u00f3n persoal e comunitario.<\/p>\n

Un exemplo brillante de dese\u00f1o artesanal \u00e9 o cruzamento de tres madeiras da tradicional mesa de escritorio Shaker. Un complexo baleirado das madeiras permite que estas se crucen nun punto e que o propio peso do taboleiro peche a estrutura. O dese\u00f1o da uni\u00f3n e o traballo da s\u00faa execuci\u00f3n quedan ocultos cando a montaxe compl\u00e9tase.<\/p>\n

Os Shakers inclu\u00edron nas s\u00faas cadeiras soluciones tan refinadas como o sistema de apoio cont\u00ednuo de patas traseiras. Mediante un baleirado dos extremos das devanditas patas, alox\u00e1base un bot\u00f3n semiesf\u00e9rico que a modo de r\u00f3tula xira dentro da pata garantindo o apoio da mesma cando a cadeira incl\u00ednase. Mediante unha perforaci\u00f3n na pata t\u00e9nsase o cord\u00f3n de coiro que ata o bot\u00f3n \u00e1 pata permitindo o movemento do bot\u00f3n sen que este despr\u00e9ndase ao levantar a cadeira.<\/p>\n

In the middle of the 18th century and Ann Lees’s slant, the Shakers<\/strong> <\/a>are constituted by the first time as a Protestant community split of the Qu\u00e1keros. The essential beginning of this group is the celibacy, the equality between sexes, the community of goods and the confession. To measured of the 19th century they are the most widespread Utopian community of the world though at present only a group is kept faithful to the original beginning in Sabbathday Lake’s city in Maine, the USA.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

Besides an interesting example of Utopian community, the Shakers are a modal in the construction of furniture of wood and certainly of chairs. The chairs of the Shakers do not stand out for his comfort or for his formal originality and in general they are similar to the furniture produced in his moment. The contribution of the Shakers is in a perfect execution and design of the handcrafted work of the wood. A work that has religious connotations being lived as way and community of personal perfection.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

A brilliant example of handcrafted design is the crossing of three wood of the traditional table of office Shaker. A complex emptied of the wood allows that these should cross in a point and that the own weight of the board closes the structure. The design of the union and the work of his execution remain secret when the assembly is completed.<\/p>\n

\"The-Shakers-03\"<\/p>\n

The Shakers included in his chairs solutions so refined as the system of continuous support of back legs. By means of an emptying of the ends of the above mentioned legs, there was lodging a semispherical button that like kneecap turns inside the leg guaranteeing the support of the same one when the chair inclines. By means of a perforation in the leg there is tightened the cord of leather that ties the button to the leg allowing the movement of the button without this one becomes detached on having raised the chair.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\"The<\/p>\n

Though the communities Shaker there is the low one throughout last century, the influence in the design of furniture has not stopped growing to the being reivinicada for the first generation of Danish contemporary designers. Jare Klint’s work turns out to be specially evident in case of the design of chair of church of 1936.<\/p>\n

There is interesting likewise the intepretaci\u00f3n of the traditional chair made Shaker some years later-1944-for B\u00f8rge Mogensen across the J39. This piece gathers the system of transoms to different height for fixation of the plaited one of the seat and is fundamental to understand the whole series of later designs realized by Hans J. Wegener<\/a>.<\/p>\n
