Ambas parcelas se encontraban provocativamente enfrentadas, con ambos pa\u00edses desconfiando mutuamente y embarcados en una contienda promocional.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">De hecho, los sovi\u00e9ticos fueron los primeros en avisar de sus intenciones: la construcci\u00f3n del edificio m\u00e1s costoso y de mayores dimensiones de toda la secci\u00f3n internacional. Derecha: fotograf\u00eda de Wouter Hagens.<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bajo esas premisas, Edward Durell Stone dise\u00f1\u00f3 un pabell\u00f3n en el que se invitaba a sentir Am\u00e9rica, donde se apelotonaban los brillantes productos de consumo, y en el que se realizaban constantes pases de moda patrocinados por la revista Vogue<sup>1<\/sup>. De planta circular, pose\u00eda una celos\u00eda a modo de envolvente, una cubierta a base de un material pl\u00e1stico transl\u00facido, una gran l\u00e1mina de agua central con una isleta para los desfiles, y la presencia de varios sauces que completaban la escenograf\u00eda interior. El espacio creado parec\u00eda directamente extra\u00eddo del entorno urbano, ya que pose\u00eda fragmentos de grandes r\u00f3tulos publicitarios, logotipos, s\u00edmbolos gr\u00e1ficos y se\u00f1ales de tr\u00e1fico. La vanguardista se\u00f1al\u00e9tica, un trabajo de los dise\u00f1adores gr\u00e1ficos Robert Brownjohn, Ivan Chermayeff y Thomas Geismar mostraba un conseguido proceso de hibridaci\u00f3n que sumerg\u00eda al espectador en un mundo divertido, atractivo y centelleante. Si una de las principales obsesiones de las autoridades y comisarios era robarle el protagonismo al enemigo, el objetivo parec\u00eda alcanzado con creces. Both plots were provocativamente conflicting, with both countries distrusting mutually and embarked in a promotional contest.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In fact, the Soviets were the first ones in warning of his intentions: the construction of the costliest building and of major dimensions of the whole international section. Right: Wouter Hagens\u00b4s photography.<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Under these premises, Edward Durell Stone designed a pavilion in which one was inviting to feel America, where the brilliant products of consumption were crowding together, and in which there were realized constant fashion shows supported by the Vogue Magazine<sup>1<\/sup>. Of circular plant, it was possessing a lattice like surrounding, a cover based on a plastic translucent material, a great sheet of central water with an islet for the parades, and the presence of several willows that were completing the interior scenery. The created space seemed to be directly extracted from the urban environment, since it was possessing fragments of big advertising labels, logos, graphical symbols and traffic signals. The vanguardista se\u00f1al\u00e9tica, a work of the graphical designers Robert Brownjohn, Ivan Chermayeff and Thomas Geismar was showing an obtained process of hybridization that was immersing the spectator in an enterteining, attractive and gleaming world. If one of the principal obsessions to the authorities and commissioners belonged to steal the protagonism from the enemy, the aim seemed to be reached fully. Ambas parcelas atop\u00e1banse provocativamente enfrontadas, con ambos pa\u00edses desconfiando mutuamente e embarcados nunha contenda promocional.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">De feito, os sovi\u00e9ticos foron os primeiros en avisar das s\u00faas intenci\u00f3ns: a construci\u00f3n do edificio m\u00e1is custoso e de maiores dimensi\u00f3ns de toda a secci\u00f3n internacional. De planta circular, posu\u00eda unha celos\u00eda a modo de envolvente, unha cuberta a base dun material pl\u00e1stico transl\u00facido, unha gran l\u00e1mina de auga central cunha isleta para desf\u00edlelos, e a presenza de varios sauces que completaban a escenograf\u00eda interior. O espazo creado parec\u00eda directamente extra\u00eddo da contorna urbana, xa que posu\u00eda fragmentos de grandes r\u00f3tulos publicitarios, logotipos, s\u00edmbolos gr\u00e1ficos e sinais de tr\u00e1fico. A vanguardista se\u00f1al\u00e9tica, un traballo dos dise\u00f1adores gr\u00e1ficos Robert Brownjohn, Ivan Chermayeff e Thomas Geismar mostraba un conseguido proceso de hibridaci\u00f3n que mergullaba ao espectador nun mundo divertido, atractivo e centelleante.
