No he le\u00eddo el libro\u00a0The Architecture of David Lynch<\/em>,<\/a> escrito por Richard Martin<\/a> el a\u00f1o pasado, pero el otro d\u00eda encontr\u00e9 una entrevista que le\u00a0hizo Kathrin Spohr a Lynch en 1997, en ella\u00a0le pregunt\u00f3 sobre su casa, una de las muchas<\/a> que cre\u00f3 el arquitecto Lloyd Wright<\/a>,\u00a0y no su padre\u00a0Frank Lloyd Wright<\/a>, como se ha escrito<\/a> err\u00f3neamente en varias ocasiones<\/a>,\u00a0Lynch respond\u00eda:<\/p>\n

\n

\u00abCierto. Lloyd Wright dise\u00f1\u00f3 la casa donde vivo, la Beverly Johnson House, en los sesenta. El hijo de Lloyd Wright, Eric Wright, supervis\u00f3 la construcci\u00f3n encargado por su padre. Veinticinco a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s, Eric dise\u00f1\u00f3 una piscina y una caseta de ba\u00f1o en el inmueble con el esp\u00edritu de la obra de su padre\u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Por cierto, Beverly Johnson<\/a> fue la primera afroamericana que apareci\u00f3 en la portada de Vogue y debe tener buen gusto arquitect\u00f3nico si le encarg\u00f3 su casa a Wright.<\/p>\n

Spohr le pregunta luego a Lynch si cree que su casa le ha influido en su trabajo y \u00e9ste le responde:<\/p>\n

\u00abWright es un gran arquitecto. La casa tiene un ambiente como el de la arquitectura japonesa, pero tambi\u00e9n de la modernidad americana, un poco de ambas. El espacio es s\u00f3lo agradable, me da una buena sensaci\u00f3n. Esto afecta a toda mi vida por vivir en su interior. Y entonces a veces veo cosas, formas o algo que puede estar dentro de ella y eso me inspira para el mobiliario o las pel\u00edculas\u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

La entrevistadora le sigue preguntando sobre la casa y si es la \u00abcasa de sus sue\u00f1os\u00bb a lo que el cineasta responde:<\/p>\n

\u00abEs un bello lugar. La arquitectura es algo en lo que siempre pienso. El dise\u00f1o influye en mi vida, necesito lugares agradables. A menudo mi mente deriva en esa direcci\u00f3n pero no soy arquitecto. Aunque realmente aprecio a los grandes arquitectos y un gran dise\u00f1o puede hacer a una persona\u00a0diferente\u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

El cineasta todav\u00eda cree que la arquitectura puede ayudar a las personas, algo en lo que desgraciadamente ya no conf\u00edan muchos arquitectos.<\/p>\n

La entrevista contin\u00faa y Spohr le pregunta por los arquitectos que m\u00e1s admira:<\/p>\n

\u00abTodos los alumnos de la Bauhaus y Pierre Chareau, \u00e9l hizo la Mansi\u00f3n del Vidrio en Par\u00eds. I have not read the book The Architecture of David Lynch<\/em>,<\/a> written by Richard Martin<\/a> last year, but another day I found an interview that Kathrin Spohr did to Lynch in 1997, in her he asked him on his house, one of many<\/a> that there created the architect Lloyd Wright<\/a>, and not his father Frank Lloyd Wright<\/a>, since he has written<\/a> himself erroneously in several ocasions<\/a>, Lynch was answering:<\/p>\n

\u00abCertain. Lloyd Wright designed the house where I live, Beverly Johnson House, in the sixties. The son of Lloyd Wright, Eric Wright, supervised the construction entrusted by his father. Twenty-five years later, Eric designed a swimming pool and a shed of bath in the building with the spirit of the work of his father\u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Certainly, Beverly Johnson<\/a> was the first Afro-American one that appeared in Vogue’s front page and it must been glad if he entrusted him his house to Wright.<\/p>\n

Spohr asks him then Lynch if he thinks that his house him has influenced his work and this one answers him:<\/p>\n

\n

\u00abWright is a great architect. The house takes an environment as that of the Japanese architecture, but also of the American modernity, a bit of both. The space is only agreeable, gives me a good sensation. This concerns all my life for living in his interior. And then sometimes I see things, forms or something that can be inside her and it to inspire me for the furniture or the movies\u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The interviewer continues asking him on the house and if it is the \u00ab<\/em>dreams house\u00bb<\/em> to what the filmmaker answers:<\/p>\n

\u00abIt is a beautiful place. The architecture is something about what always I think. The design influences my life, I need agreeable places. Often my mind derives in this direction but I am not an architect. Though really I estimate the big architects and a great design can do a different person\u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The filmmaker still thinks that the architecture can help the persons, something in what unfortunately already many architects do not trust.<\/p>\n

The interview continues and Spohr asks him about the architects that more it admires:<\/p>\n

\u00abAll the pupils of the Bauhaus and Pierre Chareau, he did the Mansion of the Glass in Paris. Ludwig Mies Van der Rohe and the family Wright, Rudolph Michael Schindler<\/a> <\/em> and Richard Neutra. I like the minimal beautiful designed things\u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

E ent\u00f3n \u00e1s veces vexo cousas, formas ou algo que pode estar dentro dela e iso me inspira para o mobiliario ou as pel\u00edculas\u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
