El mundo de la experimentaci\u00f3n tecnol\u00f3gica, cuya bandera ondea sin ninguna duda durante toda la <em>modernidad<\/em>, daba paso a las atm\u00f3sferas de especulaci\u00f3n intelectual y el debate acad\u00e9mico se traslada progresivamente de la arquitectura a la ciudad, un \u00e1mbito del que Sota habla muy poco: tal vez no fuera su <em>escala<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La entrevista de Mariano Bay\u00f3n transita c\u00f3modamente dentro de los cauces culturales propios del maestro gallego: su reciente encuentro con Jean Prouv\u00e9, su inter\u00e9s por los cat\u00e1logos comerciales o las sugerencias tecnol\u00f3gicas procedentes del mundo deportivo (desde la bota de esquiar a la c\u00e1psula de monta\u00f1a). Sin embargo, hacia el final de la entrevista, Bay\u00f3n aborda el tema espinoso de la asimilaci\u00f3n popular de la arquitectura experimental:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cApareci\u00f3 sobre el tapete, casi sin pretenderlo, la pregunta que se hac\u00eda p\u00fablicamente Colin Rowe: \u00bf<em>un arquitecto que apunta a la experimentaci\u00f3n continuada, puede participar del ideal de una arquitectura destinada a ser popular e inteligible<\/em>?\u201d.<sup><sup>3<\/sup><\/sup><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La cuesti\u00f3n no es sencilla, menos a\u00fan en 1974, planteando dos conceptos extraviados y en la pr\u00e1ctica excluyentes: experimentaci\u00f3n y ciudadan\u00eda<sup><sup>4<\/sup><\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">M\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la experimentaci\u00f3n tecnol\u00f3gica o los paisajes te\u00f3ricos a los que Sota prestaba aparentemente tan poca atenci\u00f3n<sup><sup>5<\/sup><\/sup>, hoy la innovaci\u00f3n tiene m\u00e1s que ver con la gesti\u00f3n de procesos, flujos intangibles en mayor o menor medida ya sean \u00e9stos sociales, medioambientales, energ\u00e9ticos, econ\u00f3micos o culturales. Hablar hoy de cualquier experimentaci\u00f3n tecnol\u00f3gica, por ejemplo en la fabricaci\u00f3n digital o en la monitorizaci\u00f3n de prototipos, es hablar tambi\u00e9n de ciudadan\u00eda, territorio, energ\u00eda, comunicaci\u00f3n, recursos o residuos<sup>6<\/sup>. \u00bfSe puede dejar de pensar la arquitectura en t\u00e9rminos de escalas diferentes y desconectadas (el objeto, el edificio, la ciudad, el territorio, el planeta) y re-comenzar la consideraci\u00f3n de todas las escalas a la vez? \u00bfSe puede establecer una metodolog\u00eda inter-escalar para el proyecto de arquitectura? The world of the technological experimentation, which flag undulates without any doubt during all the<em> modernity<\/em>, was giving step to the atmospheres of intellectual speculation and the academic debate moves progressively from the architecture to the city, an area about which Jack speaks very little: maybe it was not his <em>scale<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mariano Bay\u00f3n&#8217;s interview travels comfortably inside the cultural own riverbeds of the Galician teacher: his recent meeting with Jean Prouv\u00e9, his interest for the commercial catalogues or the technological suggestions proceeding from the sports world (from the boot of skiing to the capsule of mountain). Nevertheless, towards the end of the interview, Bay\u00f3n approaches the thorny topic of the popular assimilation of the experimental architecture:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIt appeared on the rug, almost without claiming it, the question that Colin Rowe was doing to himself publicly<em>: can an architect who points at the continued experimentation, take part of the ideal one of an architecture destined to be popular and intelligible<\/em>?\u201d<sup><sup>3<\/sup><\/sup>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The question is not simple, less still in 1974, raising two missed concepts and in the practice exclusive: experimentation and citizenship<sup><sup>4<\/sup><\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Beyond the technological experimentation or the theoretical landscapes to which Sota was giving seemingly so few attention<sup><sup>5<\/sup><\/sup>, today the innovation has more that to see with the management of processes, intangible flows in major or minor measure already are social, environmental, energetic, economic or cultural these. Speaking today about any technological experimentation, for example in the digital manufacture or in the monitoring prototype, it is to speak also about citizenship, territory, energy, communication, resources or residues<sup>6<\/sup>. Is it possible to stop thinking the architecture about terms of scales different and disconnected (the object, the building, the city, the territory, the planet) and restart the consideration of all the scales simultaneously?
