El tradicional hueco vertical, asociado a la construcci\u00f3n de muros portantes, define un umbral espacial y emocional entre la naturaleza exterior y el espacio interior en penumbra; el hueco horizontal propuesto por Le Corbusier durante los primeros a\u00f1os 20, habilita una iluminaci\u00f3n homog\u00e9nea y brillante al tiempo que representa \u2018la fachada libre\u2019, el triunfo de la t\u00e9cnica que habilita la independencia entre cerramiento y estructura<sup><sup>1<\/sup><\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La \u2018secularizaci\u00f3n\u2019 del espacio interior propuesta por Le Corbusier es motivo de graves y p\u00fablicas controversias, como la muy conocida entre el propio arquitecto suizo y el que fuera su maestro en el uso del hormig\u00f3n, Auguste Perret<sup><sup>2<\/sup><\/sup>. El intercambio de ataques viscerales tiene lugar en las p\u00e1ginas del <em>Paris Journal<\/em> durante el mes de diciembre de 1923<sup><sup>3<\/sup><\/sup>: mientras Perret defiende la dimensi\u00f3n at\u00e1vica del hueco llegando incluso a la identificaci\u00f3n antropom\u00f3rfica de la proporci\u00f3n vertical, \u201cA window is a man\u201d<sup><sup>4<\/sup><\/sup>, Le Corbusier responde con un proyecto paradigm\u00e1tico cuyo \u00fanico hueco corresponde a una gran ventana horizontal: la <em>Petit Maison<\/em> a orillas del lago Leman, publicada por primera vez en el propio <em>Paris Journal<\/em> junto a una caricatura de Perret sentado ante el interminable hueco, evidentemente horizontal, del <em>Palais de Bois<\/em>. Se podr\u00eda decir entonces<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201cA window is a land\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">la ventana es el hombre <em>versus<\/em> la ventana es el territorio.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Merece la pena detenerse en esta identificaci\u00f3n entre hombre y ventana propuesta por Perret hace ahora casi 100 a\u00f1os. La condici\u00f3n erguida del cuerpo humano, nuestra conquista milenaria de la verticalidad, se reconocer\u00eda entonces en (al menos) dos elementos arquitect\u00f3nicos fundamentales: el hueco y la columna, habitantes bien definidos en la arquitectura de ambos maestros<sup><sup>5<\/sup><\/sup>. \u00bfPero acaso la ventana horizontal de la \u2018Petit Maison\u2019 no supone la mejor de las compa\u00f1\u00edas? \u00bfNo deber\u00eda ser la ventana un compa\u00f1ero, un aliado siempre, un confidente del mundo? El proyecto de arquitectura consiste as\u00ed en la configuraci\u00f3n de una imaginaria lista de invitados, la convocatoria de presencias irrenunciables en la celebraci\u00f3n del espacio, la luz y la vida. The traditional vertical hollow associated with the construction of walls ambles, defines a spatial and emotional threshold between the exterior nature and the interior space in semidarkness; the horizontal hollow proposed for Le Corbusier during the first years 20, enables a homogeneous and brilliant lighting at the time that it represents\u00a0\u2018the free front\u2019, the victory of the technology that enables the independence between closing and structures<sup><sup>1<\/sup><\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The &#8216;secularization&#8217; of the interior space proposed by Le Corbusier is a motive of serious and public controversies, as the very known one between the own Swiss architect and the one that was his teacher in the use of the concrete, Auguste Perret<sup><sup>2<\/sup><\/sup>. It might say then<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201cA window is a land\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">the window is the man versus the window is the territory.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is worth stopping in this identification between man and window proposed by Perret does now almost 100 years. The condition raised of the human body, our thousand-year-old conquest of the uprightness, would be recognized then in (at least) two architectural fundamental elements: the hollow and the column, inhabitants well defined in the architecture of both teachers<sup><sup>5<\/sup><\/sup>.\u00a0But perhaps does not the horizontal window of the\u00a0\u2018Petit Maison\u2019 suppose the best of the companies? Should not it be the window a companion, an ally always, a confidant of the world? The project of architecture consists this way of the configuration of a guests&#8217; ready reserve guard, the summons of those cannot be waived presences of the celebration of the space, the light and the life.
