Formulado en otros t\u00e9rminos, es en el mismo descenso desde el ideal te\u00f3rico del primer racionalismo hacia la <strong>realidad<\/strong> del sujeto individual en donde se abren las puertas para reconocer la miseria y el dolor como sus \u00fanicos elementos constituyentes\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La anterior cita aparece extra\u00edda (arrancada a la fuerza, si se prefiere) de un texto de Mart\u00ed Per\u00e1n a prop\u00f3sito del proyecto de Dom\u00e8nec <em>\u201924 horas de luz artificial\u2019\u00a0<\/em>realizado en 1998 y en el que se \u2018recrea a escala real una habitaci\u00f3n del hospital Antituberculoso de Paimio en Finlandia\u2019. El texto cuestiona la arquitectura moderna y su excesiva racionalizaci\u00f3n. Esa \u2018m\u00e1quina de habitar\u2019 que fuera cuestionada por el arquitecto finland\u00e9s en la b\u00fasqueda de una arquitectura m\u00e1s humana. Aspecto \u00e9ste que puede apreciarse en citas de Aalto como:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u2018<em>No se puede estandarizar<\/em>\u00a0<em>el entorno de forma simplista como un producto mec\u00e1nico\u2019 <\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">o<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u2018Debemos trabajar buscando cosas simples, \u00fatiles, sin adornos, pero que est\u00e9n org\u00e1nicamente adaptadas al hombre corriente y en armon\u00eda con el ser humano.\u00a0<\/em><em>Se\u00a0 ha olvidado al hombre y, sin embargo, la verdadera arquitectura solo esta all\u00ed donde el hombre constituye el centro. Tanto su comedia como su tragedia<\/em><em><em>\u2019<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">y que\u00a0apuntan en esa direcci\u00f3n. Sin embargo la ultima palabra de la segunda cita apunta a un aspecto pocas veces contenido en la arquitectura en su dise\u00f1o: la noci\u00f3n de tragedia que ya hab\u00eda sido atendida por Per\u00e1n en esa la miseria y el dolor \u2018como sus \u00fanicos elementos constituyentes\u2019 en pos de una arquitectura para \u2018<em>tan s\u00f3lo de salvar al<\/em>\u00a0<em>hombre, condenado a vivir en un hormiguero sin sentido\u2019.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Aalto y Per\u00e1n atienden a aspectos que van m\u00e1s all\u00e1 del tema del dise\u00f1o para adentrarse en aspectos sombr\u00edos y alternos de la arquitectura (moderna); \u00bfc\u00f3mo manifestar\u00eda el dolor el espacio y la materia arquitect\u00f3nica? o \u00bfc\u00f3mo sanar el dolor o producirlo? Si atendemos a la idea que el dolor es una manifestaci\u00f3n de lo real, de que si nos duele no podemos estar ante un simulacro (\u00a1Ah, cu\u00e1ntas veces hemos o\u00eddo lo de pell\u00edzcame para saber que no estoy so\u00f1ando!)\u2026 \u00bfno ser\u00edan estos espacios constituidos en su misma esencia por \u2018la miseria y el dolor\u2019 los \u00fanicos capaces de dar una confirmaci\u00f3n de la experiencia?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dejo la cuesti\u00f3n hoy abierta\u2026\u00a0pero me quedo entre una \u00faltima concordancia que me expreso la cita. La silla Paimio del mismo Aalto, cuyo forma responde a la b\u00fasqueda de la forma \u00f3ptima para facilitar la\u00a0respiraci\u00f3n forzando la posici\u00f3n del cuerpo enfermo y la que voy a denominar Silla Guantanamo, usada para obligar a \u201ccomer\u201d a los presos del tristemente famoso centro de detenci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Aprovecho y adjunto algunos de las impresiones acontecidas en otro texto que escrib\u00ed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arquine.com\/blog\/la-arquitectura-como-un-equipo-medico\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">para Arquine<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 30px;\"><em>Las teor\u00edas higi\u00e9nicas de la modernidad eran tenidas en cuenta en todos los aspectos del dise\u00f1o. La arquitecta Beatriz Colomina se ha referido ocasionalmente a la relaci\u00f3n entre la salud y la arquitectura apuntando que\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 30px;\"><em><strong>\u201cLa arquitectura moderna era entendida de forma un\u00e1nime como una suerte de equipo m\u00e9dico, un mecanismo para proteger y mejorar el cuerpo\u201d,<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 30px;\"><em>capaz de aliviar los males humanos. (\u2026)\u00a0<strong>como ha apuntado Beatriz Colomina la arquitectura, auspiciada en la modernidad, se convertir\u00eda en una herramienta para el alivio tanto f\u00edsico como mental de los cuerpos (\u2026) estamos apuntando a que la arquitectura tiene el poder de modificar a quienes en ella habitan, por lo que no ser\u00eda inadmisible decir que un dise\u00f1o puede repercutir en un sentido opuesto sobre esa misma persona: atacar su \u00e1nimo y desgastarlo.<\/strong>\u00a0Por cruel que pueda parecer podemos poner ejemplos: c\u00e1rceles, espacios de tortura, campos de prisioneros e incluso los mismos hospitales y sanatorios \u2013en sus malas variantes\u2013 han sido alguna vez dise\u00f1ados por alguien \u2013tal vez un arquitecto\u2013 y \u00a0dar\u00edan buena cuenta de\u00a0<strong>esas capacidades a la sombra de la arquitectura, donde la miseria y el dolor no sean ya sus \u201c\u00fanicos elementos constituyentes\u201d sino donde estos son sus fines \u00faltimos<\/strong>. (\u2026)\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 30px;\"><em>La arquitectura o el espacio son neutrales en s\u00ed, carecen de \u00e9tica; la arquitectura, abstra\u00edda a su variante mec\u00e1nica, puede ser usada como elemento de cura o arma de represi\u00f3n. En este punto corresponder\u00e1 a los arquitectos qu\u00e9 est\u00e1n dispuestos a hacer, a configurar sus propios l\u00edmites profesionales (incluso \u00e9ticos). One has forgotten the man and, nevertheless, the real architecture only this there where the man constitutes the center. Both his comedy and his tragedy<\/em><em><em>\u2019<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">and that appear in this direction. Nevertheless the last word of the second appointment points at an aspect rarely contained in the architecture in his design: the notion of tragedy that already had been attended by Per\u00e1n in this misery and the pain \u2018<em><\/em>as his only constituent elements<em>\u2019<\/em> in pursuit of an architecture for <em>\u2018<em><\/em>just of saving the man, condemned to live in a senseless anthill\u2019<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Aalto and Per\u00e1n attend to aspects that go beyond the topic of the design to enter shaded and alternate aspects of the (modern) architecture; how would pain demonstrate the space and the architectural matter? Or how to cure the pain or to produce it? If we attend to the idea that the pain is a manifestation of the royal thing, of which if it hurts us we cannot be before a sham (Ah, what a lot of times we have heard it of pinch me to know that I am not dreaming!) \u2026 would not they be these spaces constituted in the same essence by \u2018the misery and the pain\u2019 the only ones capable of giving a confirmation of the experience?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I make the question today opened \u2026 but I remain between a last conformity that I express the appointment to myself. He publicado art\u00edculos y ensayos en diversos medios de Estados Unidos, Italia, Croacia, Espa\u00f1a, Chile y M\u00e9xico. M\u00e1s bien, me interesa entender c\u00f3mo las representaciones de la arquitectura, el paisaje, el dise\u00f1o o el territorio construyen y materializan determinados discursos ideol\u00f3gicos, imponiendo posturas, subjetividades y formas de acci\u00f3n sobre los cuerpos que la habitan. En mi trabajo edito estos discursos \u2013sus im\u00e1genes, sus historias o sus restos materiales\u2013 y reelaboro comentarios cr\u00edticos que ponen en evidencia sus controversias y contradicciones, formaliz\u00e1ndolos en diversos formatos como textos, fotograf\u00edas, v\u00eddeos, objetos o instalaciones, muchas veces entrecruzados entre s\u00ed. He publicado art\u00edculos y ensayos en diversos medios de Estados Unidos, Italia, Croacia, Espa\u00f1a, Chile y M\u00e9xico.
