En una entrada<\/a> anterior de este blog ya se coment\u00f3 la interesante iniciativa que un grupo de entusiastas han planteado en Chile, el ARQFILMFEST (AFFS<\/a>),\u00a0primer festival de Cine y Arquitectura de un pa\u00eds de lengua espa\u00f1ola.<\/p>\n

Hace unas semanas, estos pioneros me solicitaron un texto sobre las relaciones entre Cine y Arquitectura, un tema ampl\u00edsimo y dif\u00edcil de sintetizar con pocas palabras, pero que afront\u00e9 con inter\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

Una vez que se los\u00a0envi\u00e9,\u00a0lo titularon como esta entrada \u00ab\u00bfCu\u00e1l es la relaci\u00f3n entre cine y arquitectura?\u00bb y lo han colocado en su p\u00e1gina web en un lugar demasiado destacado, al lado de la imagen que les acompa\u00f1o de Coruscant, d\u00e1ndole m\u00e1s importancia de la que tiene, cuando en realidad es una reflexi\u00f3n que puede y debe ser completada y mejorada.<\/p>\n

Este texto es el siguiente:<\/p>\n

\u201cCuando se habla de Cine y Arquitectura la gente suele pensar en los edificios donde se proyectan las pel\u00edculas o en los decorados que aparecen en ellas. Quiz\u00e1s los m\u00e1s cin\u00e9filos recuerden los paisajes vac\u00edos de Antonioni<\/a> o la imagen de Gary Cooper lanzando soflamas individualistas en un tribunal\u2026<\/p>\n

Sin duda, todo ello pertenece a las relaciones entre estas dos disciplinas, pero no son las \u00fanicas, porque a la Arquitectura y el Cine les unen -y les separan- muchas y m\u00e1s complejas conexiones, si tenemos en cuenta que la primera consiste en construir un espacio, la segunda, ya desde sus inicios, necesit\u00f3 dos espacios, uno para poder crearse y otro para ser exhibido. A esto hay que a\u00f1adir que tanto los documentales, como las ficciones, muestran ambientes reales o creados para la filmaci\u00f3n y esos ambientes suelen estar interconectados con la Arquitectura. Se pueden seguir enumerando los numerosos puntos de uni\u00f3n y de fricci\u00f3n entre las dos disciplinas, pero no es este el lugar. Afortunadamente cada vez hay m\u00e1s investigadores que estudian las relaciones entre el Cine y la Arquitectura, descubriendo y analizando nuevos e insospechados aspectos cada vez m\u00e1s apasionantes.<\/p>\n

Se suele considerar al Cine como la disciplina o la manifestaci\u00f3n art\u00edstica \u2013lo que es m\u00e1s discutible- en la que se re\u00fanen otras, como la Literatura, la M\u00fasica, la Fotograf\u00eda y la Arquitectura, e incluso se ha llegado a escribir que re\u00fane a \u201ctodas\u201d las dem\u00e1s. El peligro que surge al ligar dos de ellas es que el peso recaiga exclusivamente en una, olvidando a la otra, y tambi\u00e9n que la importancia de una anule a la otra, por ello, el reto consiste en lograr el dif\u00edcil equilibrio entre ambas. Lo ideal es que una buena pel\u00edcula muestre una buena arquitectura, con todas las dudas que puedan establecerse sobre la \u201cbondad\u201d de cada una de ellas, teniendo en cuenta que quien ha de ponderarlas no podr\u00e1 evitar hacerlo desde una de las dos disciplinas, y este es s\u00f3lo uno de los muchos y apasionantes desaf\u00edos que tiene por delante un Festival de Cine y Arquitectura como el ARQFILMFEST.<\/p>\n

Un certamen que servir\u00e1 para abrir f\u00e9rtiles caminos que transitar\u00e1n unidos los arquitectos, los cineastas y, lo que es m\u00e1s importante, todos aquellos que, sin pertenecer a esas profesiones, est\u00e1n interesados en estudiar, modificar y mejorar el entorno construido.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cCando se fala de Cine e Arquitectura a xente adoita pensar nos edificios onde se proxectan as pel\u00edculas ou nos decorados que aparecen nelas. Quizais os m\u00e1is cin\u00e9filos recorden as paisaxes baleiras de\u00a0Antonioni<\/a> ou a imaxe de Gary Cooper lanzando soflamas individualistas nun tribunal…<\/p>\n

Sen d\u00fabida, todo iso pertence \u00e1s relaci\u00f3ns entre estas d\u00faas disciplinas, pero non son as \u00fanicas, porque \u00e1 Arquitectura e o Cine lles unen -e sep\u00e1ranlles- moitas e m\u00e1is complexas conexi\u00f3ns, se temos en conta que a primeira consiste en constru\u00edr un espazo a segunda, xa dende os seus inicios, necesitou dous espazos, un para poder crearse e outro para ser exhibido. A isto hai que engadir que tanto os documentais, coma as ficci\u00f3ns, mostran ambientes reais ou creados para a filmaci\u00f3n e eses ambientes adoitan estar interconectados coa Arquitectura. P\u00f3dense seguir enumerando os numerosos puntos de uni\u00f3n e de fricci\u00f3n entre as d\u00faas disciplinas, pero non \u00e9 este o lugar. Afortunadamente cada vez hai m\u00e1is investigadores que estudan as relaci\u00f3ns entre o Cine e a Arquitectura, descubrindo e analizando novos e insospeitados aspectos cada vez m\u00e1is apaixonantes.<\/p>\n

O ideal \u00e9 que unha boa pel\u00edcula mostre unha boa arquitectura, con todas as d\u00fabidas que poidan establecerse sobre a \u00abbondade\u00bb de cada unha delas, tendo en conta que quen ha de ponderalas non poder\u00e1 evitar facelo dende unha das d\u00faas disciplinas, e este \u00e9 s\u00f3 un dos moitos e apaixonantes desaf\u00edos que ten por diante un Festival de Cine e Arquitectura como o ARQFILMFEST.<\/p>\n

In a\u00a0previous<\/a> entry of this blog already the interesting initiative commented to itself that a group of enthusiasts have raised in Chile, the ARQFILMFEST (AFFS<\/a>), the first festival of Cinema and Architecture of a country of Spanish language.<\/p>\n

A few weeks ago, these pioneers requested a text me on the relations between Cinema and Architecture, a topic most ample and difficult to synthesize with few words, but that I confronted with interest.<\/p>\n

As soon as I sent them, they titled it as this entry \u00abwhich is the relation between cinema and architecture?\u00bb And they it have placed in his web page in a too out-standing place, next to the image that I accompany them of Coruscant, giving him more importance of the one that has, when actually it is a reflection that can and must be completed and improved.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen one speaks about Cinema and Architecture the people are in the habit of thinking about the buildings where the movies are projected or in the sets that appear in them. Probably more movie fans remember Antonioni<\/a>‘s empty landscapes or Gary Cooper’s image throwing you scorch individualists in a court \u2026<\/p>\n

Undoubtedly, all this belongs to the relations between these two disciplines, but they are not the only ones, because to the Architecture and the Cinema they are joined – and they separate them – by many and any more complex connections, if we bear in mind that the first one consists of constructing a space, the second one, already from his beginnings, he needed two spaces, one to be able to be created and other one to be exhibited. To this it is necessary to add that both the documentaries, and the fictions, they show environments royal or created for the filming and these environments are in the habit of being interconnected by the Architecture. There can continue being enumerated the numerous points of union and of friction between both disciplines, but the place is not this. Lucky every time there are more investigators who study the relations between the Cinema and the Architecture, discovering and analyzing new and unsuspected aspects increasingly exciting.<\/p>\n

One is in the habit of considering to the Cinema as the discipline or the artistic manifestation – what is more debatable – in that others meet, as the Literature, the Music, the Photography and the Architecture, and even it has managed to write that it assembles \u00aball\u00bb other. The danger that arises on having tied two of them is that the weight relapses exclusively into one, forgetting other one, and also that the importance of one annuls to other one, for this reason, the challenge it consists of achieving the difficult balance between both. The ideal thing is that a good movie shows a good architecture, with all the doubts that could be established on the \u00abkindness\u00bb of each one of them, bearing in mind that the one who has to weight them will not be able to avoid to do from one of two disciplines, and this one to be only one of great and exciting challenges that there has ahead a Festival of Cinema and Architecture as the ARQFILMFEST.<\/p>\n

A contest that will serve to open fertile ways that the architects, the filmmakers will travel joined and, which is more important, all those who, without belonging to these professions, are interested in studying, modifying and improving the constructed environment.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
