En la serie de textos que he denominado Arquitectos y Cineastas,\u00a0que relacionan las dos profesiones, he ido publicando algunos de directores, como Ingmar Bergman<\/a>, Walerian Borowcyk<\/a>, Ren\u00e9 Clair<\/a>, John Ford<\/a>, Amos Gitai<\/a> y Ra\u00fal Ruiz<\/a>, Dziga Vertov<\/a>;\u00a0de una actriz, Viola Dana<\/a> y un investigador, Sigfried Giedion<\/a>, as\u00ed como\u00a0publiqu\u00e9 en su momento uno<\/a> escrito por\u00a0Peter Greenaway.<\/p>\n

Ahora estoy preparando una conferencia titulada Peter Greenaway, mente y vientre<\/em>, para el Festival Internacional de Cine Gastron\u00f3mico Ciudad de La Laguna (Tenerife), CineEsCena, y he encontrado las siguientes declaraciones\u00a0de Greenaway sobre este mismo tema:<\/p>\n

\u00abEs un lugar com\u00fan de este siglo, que f\u00e1cilmente es posible\u00a0evitar mirar una pintura o incluso leer literatura, pero es muy dif\u00edcil evitar enfrentarse de alguna manera con la arquitectura. Me gusta pensar que, si se me permite ser tan arrogante, es posible comparar el trabajo de un director de cine con el de un arquitecto. Ambos tenemos que rendir cuentas a nuestros patrocinadores y al hombre de la calle, pero tambi\u00e9n tenemos que cumplir con nosotros mismos y nuestro concepto de la cultura. Estar\u00eda demasiado cerca de casa, obviamente, si hiciera una pel\u00edcula sobre un director de cine, por lo que en el fondo de mi mente he estado buscando desde hace alg\u00fan tiempo encontrar un paralelismo apropiado\u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Greenaway adem\u00e1s declaraba lo siguiente en cuanto a las relaciones entre la arquitectura y la filosof\u00eda:<\/p>\n

\u00abEl arquitecto debe tener conocimientos y una fuerte conciencia de todo lo que le rodea. Un personaje dice en la pel\u00edcula [El vientre de un arquitecto]: que \u00e9l necesita saber sobre la literatura, arte y el precio del pan, pero por encima de todo lo que debe, como Le Corbusier, es ser consciente de las consecuencias de la suma de todas las cifras juntas\u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Now I am preparing a qualified conference Peter Greenaway, mind and abdomen<\/em>, for the Festival Internacional de Cine Gastron\u00f3mico Ciudad de La Laguna (Tenerife), CineEsCena, and have found Greenaway’s following declarations on the same topic:<\/p>\n

\u00abIt is the common place of this century, which easily is possible to avoid to look at a painting or even to read literature, but it is very difficult to avoid to face somehow the architecture. I like to think that, if it allows me be so arrogant, it is possible to compare the work of the director of cinema with that of an architect. Both we have to produce accounts to our sponsors and to the man of the street, but also we have to expire with us themselves and our concept of the culture. It would be too much near house, obviously, if it was doing a movie on the director of cinema, for what at the back of my mind I have been seeking for some time to find an appropriate parallelism\u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Greenaway besides was declaring the following thing as for the relations between the architecture and the philosophy:<\/p>\n

\u00abThe architect must have knowledges and a strong conscience of everything what him makes a detour.
