Architecture and Teaching (VI) | Raquel Mart\u00ednez &#8211; Alberto Ruiz[:]\u00bb \u2014 veredes\" src=\"https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/espacios-para-aprender-arquitectura-y-docencia-vi-raquel-martinez-alberto-ruiz\/embed\/#?secret=OtWWh1Ytno#?secret=Cq94UULq6H\" data-secret=\"Cq94UULq6H\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Paralizaci\u00f3n y resurgir del espacio educativo en la segunda mitad del siglo XX <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Las consecuencias econ\u00f3micas de la guerra, unidas al aislamiento sufrido por el pa\u00eds en los a\u00f1os inmediatamente posteriores a esta se tradujo, as\u00ed mismo, en la casi absoluta paralizaci\u00f3n de la actividad constructiva en el \u00e1mbito educativo, m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de algunas edificaciones escolares incluidas en la reconstrucci\u00f3n emprendida por el Servicio Nacional de Regiones Devastadas, y de ciertas actuaciones simb\u00f3licas, como la ya citada intervenci\u00f3n en los edificios de la Colina de los Chopos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Los a\u00f1os de la dictadura transcurrieron, de esta forma, marcados por el monopolio ideol\u00f3gico de la Iglesia en cuestiones educativas. Se dejaron de lado los planteamientos m\u00e1s innovadores para reforzar los valores sobre los que el Estado pretend\u00eda edificar su armaz\u00f3n ideol\u00f3gico. Esta situaci\u00f3n comenzar\u00e1 a revertirse a finales de los a\u00f1os 50, y ser\u00e1 m\u00e1s por una l\u00f3gica evoluci\u00f3n social que por una verdadera voluntad de las autoridades. Como se\u00f1ala Francisco Burgos,<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201cla actualizaci\u00f3n morfol\u00f3gica de las escuelas no ser\u00e1, salvo excepciones, el producto de la interpretaci\u00f3n en clave espacial de una determinada pedagog\u00eda\u201d.<\/em><sup><sup> 1<\/sup><\/sup><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lo cierto es que toda una nueva generaci\u00f3n de espa\u00f1oles comienza a asumir las realidades de un mundo al que Espa\u00f1a a\u00fan se resist\u00eda a incorporarse. Y los arquitectos, abandonados ya muchos de los paralizantes prejuicios ideol\u00f3gicos de la posguerra, van a encontrar en el desarrollo de nuevas tipolog\u00edas escolares un campo de experimentaci\u00f3n propicio.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Otra circunstancia resulta determinante para la aparici\u00f3n de un nuevo tipo de edificaci\u00f3n escolar. El Concilio Vaticano II \u2013convocado en 1959- supone una justificaci\u00f3n perfecta para la progresiva modernizaci\u00f3n de la ense\u00f1anza religiosa, mayoritaria en Espa\u00f1a. La necesidad de integraci\u00f3n de las instituciones educativas religiosas en una sociedad civil con la que empezaban a perder el paso obliga a replantear muchos de los conceptos educativos inamovibles hasta entonces. Para ello se recurrir\u00e1, ir\u00f3nicamente, a muchos de los planteamientos introducidos por los movimientos progresistas de finales del XIX. Se recuperar\u00e1 la ense\u00f1anza graduada \u2013 todav\u00eda no la separaci\u00f3n por sexos; la actividad alternativa a la puramente docente, la relaci\u00f3n con la Naturaleza y, en un plano m\u00e1s concreto,\u00a0 los criterios higienistas de ventilaci\u00f3n, iluminaci\u00f3n y orientaci\u00f3n que dar\u00e1n lugar a las nuevas construcciones escolares. Ejemplos de estos nuevos planteamientos podemos encontrar en el Instituto Nuestra Se\u00f1ora de Santa Mar\u00eda, proyectado en 1960 por Antonio Fern\u00e1ndez Alba o el Gimnasio del Colegio Maravillas, de Alejandro de la Sota.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Por otra parte, el Estado comenzar\u00e1 a involucrarse de una forma m\u00e1s activa en la organizaci\u00f3n del sistema educativo y, aunque habr\u00e1 que esperar a los \u00faltimos momentos de la dictadura, ir\u00e1n apareciendo sucesivas iniciativas como la Ley General de Educaci\u00f3n de 1970, o la convocatoria del Premio Nacional de Arquitectura de 1971, dedicado a la construcci\u00f3n de un prototipo escolar acorde a esta nueva normativa. Para iso recorrerase, ironicamente, a moitas das formulaci\u00f3ns introducidos polos movementos progresistas de finais do XIX. Recuperarase o ensino graduado &#8211; a\u00ednda non a separaci\u00f3n por sexos; a actividade alternativa \u00e1 puramente docente, a relaci\u00f3n coa Natureza e, nun plano m\u00e1is concreto, os criterios hixienistas de ventilaci\u00f3n, iluminaci\u00f3n e orientaci\u00f3n que dar\u00e1n lugar \u00e1s novas construci\u00f3ns escolares. Exemplos destas novas formulaci\u00f3ns podemos encontrar no Instituto A Nosa Se\u00f1ora de Santa Mar\u00eda, proxectado en 1960 por Antonio Fern\u00e1ndez Alba ou o Ximnasio do Colexio Marabillas, de Alejandro de la Sota.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Por outra parte, o Estado comezar\u00e1 a involucrarse dunha forma m\u00e1is activa na organizaci\u00f3n do sistema educativo e, a\u00ednda que haber\u00e1 que esperar aos \u00faltimos momentos da ditadura, ir\u00e1n aparecendo sucesivas iniciativas como a Lei Xeral de Educaci\u00f3n de 1970, ou a convocatoria do Premio Nacional de Arquitectura de 1971, dedicado \u00e1 construci\u00f3n dun prototipo escolar acorde a esta nova normativa. The most innovative expositions were left of side to reinforce the values on which the State was trying to build his ideological framework. This situation will begin to be reverted at the end of the 50s, and will be more for a logical social evolution than for a real will of the authorities. As indicates Francisco Burgos,<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201clthe morphologic update of the schools will not be, except exceptions, the product of the interpretation in spatial key of a certain pedagogy\u201d.<\/em><sup><sup> 1<\/sup><\/sup><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The certain thing is that the whole new generation of Spanish begins to assume the realities of a world to which Spain still was refusing to incorporate. And the architects, left already many of the paralizantes ideological prejudices of the postwar period, are going to find in the development of new school tipolog\u00edas a propitious field of experimentation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Another circumstance turns out to be determinant for the appearance of a new type of school building. The Council Vatican the IInd &#8211; summoned in 1959-supposes a perfect justification for the progressive modernization of the religious, majority education in Spain. The need of integration of the educational religious institutions in a civil society with which they were starting losing the step forces to restate many of the educational unremovable concepts till then. For it it will be appealed, ironically, to many of the expositions introduced by the progressive movements of ends of the XIXth. The graduated education will recover &#8211; still not the separation for sexes; the alternative activity to the purely educational one, the relation with the Nature and, in a more concrete plane, the criteria hygienists of ventilation, lighting and orientation who will give place to the new school constructions. Examples of these new expositions we can find in the Institute Our Lady of Santa Maria, projected in 1960 by Antonio Fernandez Alba or the Gymnasium of the College You Astonish, of Alejandro de la Sota.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the other hand, the State will begin to interfere of a more active form in the organization of the educational system and, though it will be necessary to wait to the last moments of the dictatorship, successive initiatives will be appearing as the General Law of Education of 1970, or the summons of the National Prize of Architecture of 1971, dedicated to the construction of a school identical prototype to this new regulation.
