Esta relaci\u00f3n entre Iglesia y Educaci\u00f3n no es propiamente de influencia, sino de aut\u00e9ntico monopolio en estos a\u00f1os. En 1875, una circular del ministro de Fomento a los rectores de universidad advert\u00eda de la necesidad de vigilancia<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201c<em>para que en los establecimientos que dependen de su autoridad no se ense\u00f1e nada contrario al dogma cat\u00f3lico ni a la sana moral\u201d.<sup><sup>1<\/sup><\/sup><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Contra este planteamiento gubernamental se posicionaron un buen n\u00famero de profesores, que se adhirieron en 1876, a una nueva organizaci\u00f3n creada por Francisco Giner de los R\u00edos, la Instituci\u00f3n Libre de Ense\u00f1anza. La defensa de la libertad de c\u00e1tedra y la independencia de la educaci\u00f3n respecto a dogmas morales y religiosos son las bases de esta nueva comunidad acad\u00e9mica que, hasta el comienzo de la Guerra Civil, se convirti\u00f3 en el cauce de introducci\u00f3n de las nuevas teor\u00edas pedag\u00f3gicas en Espa\u00f1a.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La introducci\u00f3n de conceptos novedosos por parte de la ILE hac\u00eda necesaria la concepci\u00f3n de nuevos espacios educativos. La eliminaci\u00f3n de la segregaci\u00f3n por sexos, la ense\u00f1anza aconfesional y la concepci\u00f3n de la educaci\u00f3n como un proceso activo, alejado de los planteamientos tradicionales en que se conceb\u00eda al maestro como un mero transmisor de informaci\u00f3n, se traduce en nuevos proyectos de centros escolares, como el promovido \u2013 aunque no construido \u2013 en el Paseo de la Castellana, en la ubicaci\u00f3n actual de la Escuela Superior del Ej\u00e9rcito. Esta escuela contar\u00eda con talleres, gimnasio, aulas especiales destinadas a laboratorio, dibujo, m\u00fasica, adem\u00e1s de espacios libres ajardinados que segu\u00edan los conceptos del sistema Froebel.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La influencia de la ILE fue creciendo a medida que algunos de sus alumnos m\u00e1s ilustres se fueron incorporando a la vida pol\u00edtica e intelectual espa\u00f1ola. La importancia de la instituci\u00f3n se hizo particularmente patente con la llegada de la II Rep\u00fablica y su identificaci\u00f3n pol\u00edtica con esta supuso su desmantelamiento tras el fin de la Guerra Civil. El r\u00e9gimen del General Franco consider\u00f3 la ILE como un organismo subversivo, contrario a los ideales religiosos y morales que se habr\u00edan de imponer en Espa\u00f1a y procedi\u00f3 a su disoluci\u00f3n y confiscaci\u00f3n de sus bienes. La gran mayor\u00eda de los integrantes de la Instituci\u00f3n tuvieron que exiliarse o enfrentarse a la censura.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En cualquier caso, en los a\u00f1os anteriores a su desaparici\u00f3n, varias de las iniciativas promovidas directa o indirectamente por la ILE cristalizaron en la creaci\u00f3n de algunas de las m\u00e1s importantes instituciones pedag\u00f3gicas de los primeros a\u00f1os del siglo XX. Esta creaci\u00f3n vino, adem\u00e1s, acompa\u00f1ada de la construcci\u00f3n de nuevas infraestructuras educativas. La Junta de Ampliaci\u00f3n de Estudios (1907), la Residencia de Estudiantes (1910) o el Instituto Escuela (1918) se instalaron de forma definitiva en una serie de edificios construidos en un magn\u00edfico enclave madrile\u00f1o, conocido como la Colina de los Chopos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Centr\u00e1ndonos en los edificios de uso puramente educativo, podemos destacar los dos realizados por dos j\u00f3venes arquitectos, Carlos Arniches y Mart\u00edn Dom\u00ednguez, el Instituto de Secundaria y el Pabell\u00f3n de P\u00e1rvulos. Ambos edificios, junto al Auditorio y Biblioteca para la Residencia de Estudiantes, transformado a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s por Miguel Fisac en la actual Iglesia del Esp\u00edritu Santo, se convirtieron en la decidida apuesta de la todav\u00eda balbuceante arquitectura de vanguardia espa\u00f1ola por un nuevo modelo de espacio educativo, basado en aquellos conceptos reclamados por el GATEPAC \u2013orientaci\u00f3n, iluminaci\u00f3n, ventilaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Arniches y Dom\u00ednguez consiguieron, adem\u00e1s, con la obra del Pabell\u00f3n de P\u00e1rvulos, un edificio innovador, incorporando elementos novedosos, como la iluminaci\u00f3n del corredor de acceso a las aulas mediante un ventanal situado en cubierta que complementaba el gran frente acristalado de estas; la integraci\u00f3n del espacio de circulaci\u00f3n a las aulas mediante paneles m\u00f3viles, y el gran hallazgo, dise\u00f1ado en colaboraci\u00f3n con Eduardo Torroja, de las marquesinas voladas de hormig\u00f3n armado. Arniches e Dominguez. 1933-1936 | Fuentes: <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/farm2.staticflickr.com\/1344\/708073881_858bebfd57_o.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Flickr<\/a> y <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stepienybarno.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Blog de Stepien y Barno<\/a>.<span style=\"color: #888888;\"><br \/><\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Este destacado conjunto escolar tuvo un corto recorrido, ya que su reconversi\u00f3n posterior a la Guerra Civil, bajo los auspicios del Opus Dei, termin\u00f3 por modificar de forma profunda, no solo su ideario educativo sino tambi\u00e9n, y de forma radical, la constituci\u00f3n de sus edificios.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Una vez comenzada la guerra, y como suele ser habitual en este tipo de situaciones, la educaci\u00f3n se convirti\u00f3 en propaganda. La carga ideol\u00f3gica se radicaliz\u00f3 tanto en un bando como en otro, e iniciativas como la propuesta por la ILE dejaron de tener acomodo entre los intereses inmediatos de ambos gobiernos. M\u00e1s a\u00fan cuando, una vez consumada la victoria del bando franquista, las prioridades se centraron en eliminar cualquier resto de la situaci\u00f3n previa. A eliminaci\u00f3n da segregaci\u00f3n por sexos, o ensino aconfesional e a concepci\u00f3n da educaci\u00f3n como un proceso activo, afastado das formulaci\u00f3ns tradicionais en que se concib\u00eda o mestre como un mero transmisor de informaci\u00f3n, se traduce en novos proxectos de centros escolares, como o promovido &#8211; a\u00ednda que non constru\u00eddo &#8211; no Paseo da Castel\u00e1, na situaci\u00f3n actual da Escola Superior do Ex\u00e9rcito. Esta escola contar\u00eda con talleres, ximnasio, aulas especiais destinadas a laboratorio, debuxo, m\u00fasica, ademais de espazos libres axardinados que segu\u00edan os conceptos do sistema Froebel.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A influencia da ILE foi crecendo a medida que alg\u00fans dos seus alumnos m\u00e1is ilustres se foron incorporando \u00e1 vida pol\u00edtica e intelectual espa\u00f1ola. A importancia da instituci\u00f3n f\u00edxose particularmente patente coa chegada da II Rep\u00fablica e a s\u00faa identificaci\u00f3n pol\u00edtica con esta supuxo o seu desmantelamento tras o fin da Guerra Civil. O r\u00e9xime do Xeneral Franco considerou a ILE como un organismo subversivo, contrario aos ideais relixiosos e morais que se haber\u00edan de impo\u00f1er en Espa\u00f1a e procedeu \u00e1 s\u00faa disoluci\u00f3n e confiscaci\u00f3n dos seus bens. A gran maior\u00eda dos integrantes da Instituci\u00f3n tiveron que exiliarse ou enfrontarse \u00e1 censura.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En calquera caso, nos anos anteriores \u00e1 s\u00faa desaparici\u00f3n, varias das iniciativas promovidas directa ou indirectamente pola ILE cristalizaron na creaci\u00f3n dalgunhas das m\u00e1is importantes instituci\u00f3ns pedag\u00f3xicas dos primeiros anos do s\u00e9culo XX. Esta creaci\u00f3n veu, ademais, acompa\u00f1ada da construci\u00f3n de novas infraestruturas educativas. A Xunta de Ampliaci\u00f3n de Estudos (1907), a Residencia de Estudantes (1910) ou o Instituto Escola (1918) instal\u00e1ronse de forma definitiva nunha serie de edificios constru\u00eddos nun magn\u00edfico enclave madrile\u00f1o, co\u00f1ecido como o Outeiro dos Chopos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Centr\u00e1ndonos nos edificios de uso puramente educativo, podemos destacar os dous realizados por dous novos arquitectos, Carlos Arniches e Mart\u00edn Dom\u00ednguez, o Instituto de Secundaria e o Pavill\u00f3n de P\u00e1rvulos. Ambos os dous edificios, xunto ao Auditorio e Biblioteca para a Residencia de Estudantes, transformado anos despois por Miguel Fisac na actual Igrexa do Esp\u00edrito Santo, convert\u00e9ronse na decidida aposta da a\u00ednda balbuceante arquitectura de vangarda espa\u00f1ola por un novo modelo de espazo educativo, baseado naqueles conceptos reclamados polo GATEPAC -orientaci\u00f3n, iluminaci\u00f3n, ventilaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Arniches e Dom\u00ednguez conseguiron, ademais, coa obra do Pavill\u00f3n de P\u00e1rvulos, un edificio innovador, incorporando elementos novidosos, como a iluminaci\u00f3n do corredor de acceso \u00e1s aulas mediante un ventanal situado en cuberta que complementaba a gran fronte acritalar destas; a integraci\u00f3n do espazo de circulaci\u00f3n \u00e1s aulas mediante paneis m\u00f3biles, e o grande achado, dese\u00f1ado en colaboraci\u00f3n con Eduardo Torroja, das marquesi\u00f1as voadas de formig\u00f3n armado. This relation between Church and Education is not properly of influence, but of authentic monopoly in these years.\u00a0In 1875, one circular letter of the secretary of Promotion he was warning the rectors of university of the need of vigilance<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201c<em>in order that in the establishments that depend on his authority should be taught not opposite at all neither to the catholic dogma nor to the healthy morality\u201d.<sup><sup>1<\/sup><\/sup><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Against this governmental exposition a good number of teachers positioned, that adhirieron in 1876, to a new organization created by \u00a0Francisco Giner de los R\u00edos, the Free Institution of Education. The defense of the freedom of chair and the independence of the education with regard to moral and religious dogmas are the bases of this new academic community that, until the beginning of the Civil war, turned into the riverbed of introduction of the new pedagogic theories into Spain.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The introduction of new concepts on the part of the ILE was making necessary the conception of new educational spaces. The elimination of the segregation by sexes, the education aconfesional and the conception of the education like an active process removed from the traditional expositions in which the teacher was conceived as a mere transmitter of information, is translated in new projects of school centers, as the promoted one &#8211; though not constructed &#8211; in the Walk of the Castilian one, in the current location of the High school of the Army. This school would possess workshops, gymnasium, special classrooms destined for laboratory, drawing, music, besides free landscaped spaces that were following the concepts of the system Froebel.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The influence of the ILE was growing as some of his more illustrious pupils were joining to the political and intellectual Spanish life. The importance of the institution became particularly clear by the arrival of the Republic II and his political identification by this one supposed his dismantlement after the end of the Civil war. The regime of the General Franco considered the ILE to be a subversive, opposite organism to ideal religious and moral that should be imposed in Spain and proceeded to his dissolution and confiscation of his goods. The great majority of the members of the Institution had to go into exile or to face the censorship.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In any case, in the years previous to his disappearance, you change of the promoted initiatives directly or indirectly for the ILE they crystallized in the creation of some of the most important pedagogic institutions of the first years of the 20th century. This creation came, in addition, accompanied from the construction of new educational infrastructures. The Meeting extension of Studies (1907), the Students&#8217; Residence (1910) or the Institute School (1918) they established themselves of definitive form in a series of buildings constructed in a magnificent enclave of Madrid, known as the\u00a0Colina de los Chopos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Centring on the buildings of purely educational use, we can emphasize both realized ones for two young architects, Carlos Arniches and Martin Dom\u00ednguez, the Institute of Secondary and the Pavilion of Preschoolers. Both buildings, close to the Audience and Library for the Students&#8217; Residence, transformed some years later for Michael Fisac in the current Church of the Holy Spirit, turned into the determined bet of still balbuceante architecture of Spanish forefront for a new model of educational space, based on those concepts claimed by the GATEPAC &#8211; orientation, lighting, ventilation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Arniches and Dom\u00ednguez obtained, in addition, with the work of the Pavilion of Preschoolers, an innovative building, incorporating new elements, as the lighting of the corridor of access to the classrooms by means of a large window placed in cover that was complementing the great glazed front of these; the integration of the space of traffic to the classrooms by means of mobile panels, and the great finding designed in collaboration with Eduardo Torroja, of the marquees demolished of reinforced concrete. The ideological load became more radical so much in a decree as in other one, and initiatives like the offer as the ILE stopped having arrangement between the immediate interests of both governments. Even more when, once perfect the victory of the pro-Franco decree, the priorities centred on eliminating any rest of the previous situation.
