En ella, el autor reflexiona sobre la capacidad de los edificios y sus entornos para ofrecer a la gente un buen lugar para el desarrollo de sus vidas. Trabaj\u00f3 en el Departamento de Conservaci\u00f3n de Monumentos del cant\u00f3n suizo de Graub\u00fcnden y desde 1979 tiene su propio despacho en Haldenstein, Suiza. Es profesor en la Accademia di Architettura de la Universit\u00e0 della Svizzera Italiana en Mendrisio, Suiza, y ha sido profesor invitado en diversas universidades de todo el mundo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Entre sus obras m\u00e1s importantes destacan: cubrici\u00f3n del yacimiento arqueol\u00f3gico romano (Chur, Suiza, 1986), capilla de Sogn Benedetg (Sumvitg, Suiza, 1988), viviendas para jubilados (Chur-Masans, Suiza, 1993), termas (Vals, Suiza, 1996), Kunsthaus Bregenz (Bregenz, Austria, 1997), pabell\u00f3n de Suiza en la Exposici\u00f3n Universal (Hannover, Alemania, 2000), centro de documentaci\u00f3n &#8216;Topograf\u00eda del terror&#8217; piezas prefabricadas (Berl\u00edn, Alemania, 1997; proyecto interrumpido por el gobierno regional), Kunstmuseum Kolumba (Colonia, Alemania, 2007) y capilla Bruder Klaus (finca de Scheidtweiler, Mechernich, Alemania, 2007).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Su obra ha sido recogida en exposiciones y numerosas publicaciones especializadas y en la monograf\u00eda <em>Peter Zumthor: Works. Buildings and Projects 1979-1997<\/em> (Lars M\u00fcller, Baden, 1998). It was employed at the Department of Conservation of Monuments of Graub\u00fcnden&#8217;s Swiss canton and from 1979 it has his own office in Haldenstein, Switzerland. He is a teacher in the Accademia I gave Architettura de la Universit\u00e0 della Svizzera Italiana in Mendrisio, Switzerland, and he has been a teacher invited in diverse universities of the whole world.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Between his more important works they stand out: copulation of the archaeological Roman deposit (Chur, Switzerland, 1986), Sogn Benedetg&#8217;s chapel (Sumvitg, Switzerland, 1988), housings for pensioners (Chur-Masans, Switzerland, 1993), thermal baths (Waltz, Switzerland, 1996), Kunsthaus Bregenz (Bregenz, Austria, 1997), pavilion of Switzerland in the Universal Exhibition (Hannover, Germany, 2000), I centre of documentation &#8216; Topography of the terror &#8216; prefabricated pieces (Berlin, Germany, 1997; project interrupted by the regional government), Kunstmuseum Kolumba (Cologne, Germany, 2007) and chapel Bruder Klaus (estate of Scheidtweiler, Mechernich, Germany, 2007).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">His work has been gathered in exhibitions and numerous specialized publications and in the monograph <em>Peter Zumthor:<\/em> <em>Works. Buildings and Projects 1979-1997<\/em> (Lars M\u00fcller, Gully made by rainwater, 1998).
