Architecture and the tradition of progress<\/em> es, sin duda, uno de esos casos. Pocos a\u00f1os antes, durante un corto periplo en Par\u00eds, hab\u00eda completado su primera obra de arquitectura. En palabras de John Allan, \u201csi Rusia fue su guarder\u00eda, Europa fue su instituto. El fermento de la Rusia revolucionaria le hab\u00eda implantado la visi\u00f3n del arte como instrumento de renovaci\u00f3n social; luego, en Europa, Lubetkin iba a aprender la historia del arte y el magisterio del dise\u00f1o arquitect\u00f3nico como una t\u00e9cnica artesanal\u201d. Wilhelm Worringer o Auguste Perret fueron algunas de sus influencias durante este periodo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En 1932, ya en Londres, estableci\u00f3 la oficina Tecton junto a Francis Skinner, Denys Lasdun, Godfrey Samuel y Lindsay Drake. Tambi\u00e9n particip\u00f3 en la fundaci\u00f3n del grupo MARS con Morton Shand, Wells Coates o Maxwell Fry, y m\u00e1s tarde en la de la agrupaci\u00f3n progresista ATO (Architects\u2019 and Technicians\u2019 Organization). Con este bagaje, Lubetkin es reconocido como una figura clave en la introducci\u00f3n del movimiento moderno en Gran Breta\u00f1a. Se valora especialmente su creencia en la arquitectura como herramienta de progreso social.
