El borrador de esa ley quiere hacer patente que no existe distinci\u00f3n entre edificaci\u00f3n, construcci\u00f3n y arquitectura, y razona que si un ingeniero sabe hacer una nave tiene que saber hacer una casa.<\/p>\n
Surge entonces una duda inmediata: Si un ingeniero va a poder hacer lo suyo y adem\u00e1s lo del arquitecto, mientras que un arquitecto seguir\u00e1 sin poder hacer lo del ingeniero, \u00bfpara qu\u00e9 estudiar Arquitectura?<\/p>\n Se me ocurren muchas l\u00edneas de comentarios, pero todas ellas han sido mucho mejor desarrolladas por elocuentes compa\u00f1eros. As\u00ed que tiro por otro sitio.<\/p>\n Tengo dos hijos, y ninguno de ellos est\u00e1 ni remotamente interesado en ser arquitecto. Pero, si les hubiera atra\u00eddo la arquitectura, \u00bfqu\u00e9 les podr\u00eda decir?, \u00bfc\u00f3mo les aconsejar\u00eda? Uf, qu\u00e9 dif\u00edcil.<\/p>\n El sentido com\u00fan dice que estudiar arquitectura es in\u00fatil, es una aut\u00e9ntica p\u00e9rdida de tiempo.<\/p>\n Pero recuerdo mi ya lejana carrera (la termin\u00e9 en 1985) y me vienen a la mente unas cuantas im\u00e1genes, ideas y recuerdos deslavazados:<\/p>\n a)<\/strong> Fullaondo<\/strong> cont\u00e1ndonos su viaje a Finlandia con Moneo<\/a><\/strong>, para visitar a Alvar Aalto<\/a><\/strong>. Fue un momento epif\u00e1nico. A\u00f1os despu\u00e9s he hecho muchos replanteos en barro, en polvo seco, en terragueros diversos, y no es tan apasionante.<\/p>\n e)<\/strong> Juli\u00e1n<\/strong>, el del bar, y sus s\u00e1ndwiches de escabeche (y naturalmente, sus pinchos de tortilla).<\/p>\n f)<\/strong> El juego de la peseta, en las mesas del mencionado bar, y el juego de la pocha, en alguna clase vac\u00eda de arriba.<\/p>\n g)<\/strong> Mi amigo Emilio Garc\u00eda Alonso<\/strong>, y tantas discusiones. Y de nuevo, muchos a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s, Corrales solo (Molez\u00fan estaba ya enfermo) nos lo volvi\u00f3 a explicar en la Escuela, con unas enormes diapositivas.<\/p>\n k)<\/strong> Un profesor de Elementos de Composici\u00f3n<\/em> (era la asignatura que serv\u00eda de introducci\u00f3n a Proyectos<\/em>, y se me dio muy mal la primera vez) pregunt\u00e1ndome qu\u00e9 tal iba en las te\u00f3ricas (muy bien) y proponi\u00e9ndome que dejara la carrera y cursara alguna ingenier\u00eda. Las carreras de ingenier\u00eda son duras, pero compensan con una formaci\u00f3n muy seria y muy solvente, que sirve para hacer de todo.<\/p>\n Creo que es lo que deber\u00eda cursar una persona inteligente, l\u00f3gica, sensata, razonable, perseverante y decidida. Es una gran elecci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n S\u00f3lo le recomendar\u00eda arquitectura a una aut\u00e9ntica cabra<\/a>. A una puta cabra loca y disparatada. A un ser que buscara una loca e il\u00f3gica trascendencia en las cosas m\u00e1s anodinas. A una persona encendida, feroz, hambrienta. A un insensato. A alguien que, contra todo consejo, contra toda tendencia econ\u00f3mica, contra todo imperativo legal, necesitara<\/em>\u00a0ser arquitecto, y muriese por dibujar rayos en el aire y pisar barro en una zanja, y quisiera casar dos cosas tan incasables.<\/p>\n (\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 ser\u00e1 que, a pesar de todo, las notas de Selectividad exigidas por las escuelas de arquitectura siguen siendo alt\u00edsimas?).<\/p>\n Yo le recomendar\u00eda estudiar arquitectura a alguien que no necesitara que se lo recomendase, a alguien a quien ya todo le importara un bledo, a alguien que hubiera saltado al vac\u00edo y no tuviera miedo de los posibles fallos de su precario paraca\u00eddas. A alguien que, mientras cayera a plomo, gritara que hab\u00eda merecido la pena.<\/p>\n A alguien a quien no quisiese demasiado (no soportar\u00eda verlo estrellarse. Se me desgarrar\u00eda el coraz\u00f3n).
