Manuel Gallego Jorreto | Fotograf\u00eda: M\u00f3nica Balado<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Deber\u00edamos comenzar pidiendo disculpas a \u201cla Cimbra y el Arco\u201d de Carles Mart\u00ed por abordar el acercamiento a esta obra de arquitectura, la Lonja de Lira de Manuel Gallego Jorreto, con palabras, en tanto que estas l\u00edneas lo son sobre intensa arquitectura pero no son arquitectura, son s\u00f3lo eso palabras\u2026 Sucinta reflexi\u00f3n la que presentamos sobre una obra que parece, solo aparentemente, ser una obra secundaria porque no se deja ver en su pudor, no s\u00f3lo frente a las obras de arquitectura de otros autores que le son contempor\u00e1neas, sino a otras arquitecturas del propio Manuel Gallego (algo, si cabe, todav\u00eda m\u00e1s dif\u00edcil dentro de la conocida y humilde coherencia de su larga trayectoria). No obstante, por diferentes motivos, esta construcci\u00f3n enlaza con ese tipo de proyecto en la biograf\u00eda de sus autores, que siendo obras en apariencia menores y escondidas, se convierten m\u00e1s tarde en excelsos \u00a0referentes de una trayectoria vital, pues son y responden a la praxis tranquila y pausada de un autor y de un tiempo propio demorado que las hace crecer abstra\u00eddas. Este tipo de proyectos que proponen y nacen vocacionados hacia un silencio consciente y pudoroso, son edificios Bartleby<sup><sup>[1]<\/sup><\/sup> de sus propios autores y de la sociedad que los envuelve que, a cambio de este anonimato, no s\u00f3lo nos ense\u00f1an a pensar y se convierten en motor de aprendizaje para otros proyectos, para otros arquitectos sino que adem\u00e1s est\u00e1n ah\u00ed para terminar de dar sentido y estructura profunda al corpus de una vida profesional. Son obras que se parecen a las notas a pie de p\u00e1gina de\u00a0 un texto, l\u00edneas escondidas que no hace falta seguir si no se quiere, pero que son el soporte del cuerpo te\u00f3rico del texto principal que se lee. Manuel Gallego Jorreto | Fotograf\u00eda M\u00f3nica Balado<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">De la lonja de Lira nos interesa, muy principalmente, lo que es el casi nada de ese edificio sin forma y que, sin embargo, es casi todo, el material principal con el que nos parece est\u00e1 hecho, al contrario de la mayor\u00eda de arquitectura contempor\u00e1nea con la que convivimos, el tiempo y su alteraci\u00f3n. Nos explicamos, hay algo m\u00e1s profundo en este edificio silencioso, que nos deja aprender y emocionarnos pero que no suele aparecer en la mayor\u00eda de construcciones que se visitan como arquitectura, y que es la sensaci\u00f3n de estar ante una obra original. Original en varios sentidos, uno de ellos en la perspectiva de lo primitivo, de lo ancestral conectado a lo b\u00e1sico que es localizarse y ser. Un localizarse, en este caso, poco frecuente pues el edificio funciona perfectamente all\u00ed mismo, en su relaci\u00f3n con el mar inmediato, el puerto, una obviedad, y tambi\u00e9n lo hace en la percepci\u00f3n equilibrada de su\u00a0 implantaci\u00f3n en el horizonte geogr\u00e1fico\u00a0 m\u00e1s abierto y lejano, el oc\u00e9ano. Original tambi\u00e9n, porque la obra por ese pudor referido, parece querer ser \u00fanicamente relatada a trav\u00e9s de la descripci\u00f3n simple de la acci\u00f3n constructiva, como un invento, poco o nada m\u00e1s: siete p\u00f3rticos paralelos y en voladizo de casi 18m hincados en el suelo del puerto. Ese hincar estos siete pilares de soporte para unas vigas en m\u00e9nsula es una acci\u00f3n muy por encima de la arquitectura, pues termina por convertirse en un acierto casi antropol\u00f3gico de comportamiento constructivo que pone, metaf\u00f3ricamente hablando, a esta obra a la altura de la m\u00e1s sencilla acci\u00f3n del protagonista de Urga en el film de Mihalkov, cuando en medio de la estepa, para dar sentido y medida a un dominio inabarcable que es la amplitud de la nada, clava su p\u00e9rtiga (urga) con el fin de expresar de forma extremadamente b\u00e1sica un territorio propio y \u00fanico, no franqueable. Manuel Gallego Jorreto | Fotograf\u00eda M\u00f3nica Balado<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Despu\u00e9s de estas dos premisas originales, implantaci\u00f3n y acci\u00f3n constructiva, tal vez nada m\u00e1s, como suele acontecer con la gran arquitectura, pues el programa podr\u00eda ser el actual o cualquier otro necesario, y podr\u00eda no haber sido terminado el edificio, y podr\u00e1 no ser necesario su uso en cien a\u00f1os, si es ruina, y seguir\u00eda teniendo un profundo sentido arquitect\u00f3nico. En este sentido y no por azar hemos escogido, para ilustrar estas breves palabras, las fotograf\u00edas de proceso constructivo de la aparejadora de Manuel Gallego, en esta y en otras muchas obras, M\u00f3nica Balado, sino porque delatan la desimportancia de ver terminados los edificios que son verdaderos proyectos de arquitectura, originales como venimos diciendo. Manuel Gallego Jorreto | Fotograf\u00eda: M\u00f3nica Balado<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Deberiamos comezar pedindo desculpas a \u201ca Cimbra e o Arco\u201d de Carles Mart\u00ed por abordar o achegamento a esta obra de arquitectura, a Lonja de Lira de Manuel Galego Jorreto, con palabras, en tanto que estas li\u00f1as sono sobre intensa arquitectura pero non son arquitectura, son s\u00f3 iso palabras\u2026 Sucinta reflexi\u00f3n a que presentamos sobre unha obra que parece, s\u00f3 aparentemente, ser unha obra secundaria porque non se deixa ver na s\u00faa pudor, non s\u00f3 fronte \u00e1s obras de arquitectura doutros autores que lle son contempor\u00e1neas, sen\u00f3n a outras arquitecturas do propio Manuel Galego (algo, si cabo, a\u00ednda m\u00e1is dif\u00edcil dentro da co\u00f1ecida e humilde coherencia da s\u00faa longa traxectoria). No entanto, por diferentes motivos, esta construci\u00f3n enlaza con ese tipo de proxecto na biograf\u00eda dos seus autores, que sendo obras en aparencia menores e escondidas, conv\u00e9rtense m\u00e1is tarde en excelsos referentes dunha traxectoria vital, pois son e responden \u00e1 praxe tranquila e pausada dun autor e dun tempo propio demorado que as fai crecer abstra\u00eddas. Este tipo de proxectos que propo\u00f1en e nacen vocacionados cara a un silencio consciente e pudoroso, son edificios Bartleby<sup><sup>[1]<\/sup><\/sup> dos seus propios autores e da sociedade que os envolve que, a cambio deste anonimato, non s\u00f3 nos ensinan a pensar e conv\u00e9rtense en motor de aprendizaxe para outros proxectos, para outros arquitectos sen\u00f3n que ademais est\u00e1n a\u00ed para terminar de dar sentido e estrutura profunda ao corpus dunha vida profesional. Son obras que se parecen \u00e1s notas ao p\u00e9 de p\u00e1xina dun texto, li\u00f1as escondidas que non fai falta seguir si non se quere, pero que son o soporte do corpo te\u00f3rico do texto principal que se le. Manuel Gallego Jorreto | Fotograf\u00eda M\u00f3nica Balado<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Da lonja de Lira inter\u00e9sanos, moi principalmente, o que \u00e9 o case nada dese edificio sen forma e que, con todo, \u00e9 case todo, o material principal co que nos parece est\u00e1 feito, ao contrario da maior\u00eda de arquitectura contempor\u00e1nea coa que convivimos, o tempo e a s\u00faa alteraci\u00f3n. Explic\u00e1monos, hai algo m\u00e1is profundo neste edificio silencioso, que nos deixa aprender e emocionarnos pero que non adoita aparecer na maior\u00eda de construci\u00f3ns que se visitan como arquitectura, e que \u00e9 a sensaci\u00f3n de estar ante unha obra orixinal. Orixinal en varios sentidos, un deles na perspectiva do primitivo, do ancestral conectado ao b\u00e1sico que \u00e9 localizarse e ser. Un localizarse, neste caso, pouco frecuente pois o edificio funciona perfectamente al\u00ed mesmo, na s\u00faa relaci\u00f3n co mar inmediato, o porto, unha obviedade, e tam\u00e9n o fai na percepci\u00f3n equilibrada da s\u00faa implantaci\u00f3n no horizonte xeogr\u00e1fico m\u00e1is aberto e afastado, o oc\u00e9ano. Orixinal tam\u00e9n, porque a obra por ese pudor referido, parece querer ser \u00fanicamente relatada a trav\u00e9s da descrici\u00f3n simple da acci\u00f3n constructiva, como un invento, pouco ou nada m\u00e1is: sete p\u00f3rticos paralelos e en voladizo de case 18m afincados no chan do porto. Ese afincar estes sete alicerces de soporte para unhas vigas en m\u00e9nsula \u00e9 unha acci\u00f3n moi por encima da arquitectura, pois termina por converterse nun acerto case antropol\u00f3xico de comportamento constructivo que pon, metaf\u00f3ricamente falando, a esta obra \u00e1 altura da m\u00e1is sinxela acci\u00f3n do protagonista de Urga no filme de Mihalkov, cando no medio da estepa, para dar sentido e medida a un dominio inabarcable que \u00e9 a amplitud da nada, crava a s\u00faa p\u00e9rtiga (urga) co fin de expresar de forma extremadamente b\u00e1sica un territorio propio e \u00fanico, non franqueable. Neste sentido e non por azar escollemos, para ilustrar estas breves palabras, as fotograf\u00edas de proceso constructivo da aparelladora de Manuel Galego, nesta e noutras moitas obras, M\u00f3nica Balado, sen\u00f3n porque delatan a desimportancia de ver terminados os edificios que son verdadeiros proxectos de arquitectura, orixinais como vimos dicindo.
