Hoy volvemos con un nuevo post de nuestra serie \u201ccartas de un arquitecto a \u2026\u201d.<\/strong> \u00a1Esperamos que sea de vuestro inter\u00e9s!<\/p>\n

Aunque, a veces lo parezca, los arquitectos no nos hemos ca\u00eddo de un guindo. Vaya\u2026 que no le ha hecho gracia el comienzo de mi carta; pues a m\u00ed tampoco me est\u00e1 haciendo ninguna gracia la nueva Ley de Servicios Profesionales que, desde su MIniSTERIO de Econom\u00eda, quiere sacar adelante. El motivo de esta carta no es otro que mostrar mi absoluto rechazo a ello e intentar explicar por qu\u00e9 creo que es un sin sentido hacerlo.<\/p>\n

Usted dice que nos tenemos que modernizar y aumentar la competencia entre profesionales para que el mercado sea m\u00e1s competitivo. Vayamos por partes. \u00bfmodernizar? Es decir \u00bfser m\u00e1s europeos? Pues le comunico, se\u00f1or MINIstro, que los alemanes, s\u00ed esos que se supone que son tan avanzados y con quien el jefe de su partido hace tan buenas migas, no tienen ninguna Ley de Servicios Profesionales<\/strong> como la que quiere usted meternos con calzador; ni la tienen ni la tendr\u00e1n. Es m\u00e1s, al contrario que en Espa\u00f1a, donde en nombre de un neoliberalismo absurdo se eliminaron hace a\u00f1os las tarifas de honorarios<\/strong> de los arquitectos, el pa\u00eds teut\u00f3n las conserv\u00f3 y bien conservadas. De esta forma, se garantiza que un arquitecto cobrar\u00e1 lo necesario para poder realizar su trabajo con dignidad y responsabilidad.<\/p>\n

Lo contrario, a ello, se llama darse navajazos por un ch\u00e1ndal<\/strong>. Ahora mismo, por desgracia y, en parte, por culpa de quienes nos gobiernan, sufrimos una de las crisis m\u00e1s violentas de la historia y nuestro gremio, los arquitectos, somos especialmente perjudicados por ello. Ahora mismo, hay unas bajadas de honorarios<\/strong> bestiales para realizar cualquier trabajo de arquitectura; as\u00ed que, aumentar todav\u00eda m\u00e1s la competencia no llevar\u00e1 a ning\u00fan sitio m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la ruina de miles de profesionales. Porque quienes se llevar\u00e1n el trabajo ser\u00e1n grandes ingenier\u00edas que son las m\u00e1s r\u00e1pidas y baratas del mundo. Eso s\u00ed, sobre la calidad de lo que vayan a hacer mejor no me pronuncio.<\/p>\n

As\u00ed, los arquitectos espa\u00f1oles que, no por casualidad, han sido reconocidos por medio mundo como altamente cualificados, no podr\u00e1n optar ni a las migajas del pastel. De esta forma, en vez de encontrar la manera de que \u00a0estos arquitectos, con una formaci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica mucho m\u00e1s potente que en la mayor\u00eda Europa, pudieran optar a la doble titulaci\u00f3n<\/strong> de arquitectos e ingenieros, va a suceder, justo lo contrario. Por desgracia, los ingenieros, sin ning\u00fan tipo de formaci\u00f3n espec\u00edfica en arquitectura, podr\u00e1n, si un milagro no lo impide, hacer de arquitectos. \u00a1!De traca!!<\/p>\n

De todas formas, no tiene usted m\u00e1s que darse una vuelta por cualquier extrarradio de nuestras ciudades y ver c\u00f3mo son nuestros pol\u00edgonos industriales<\/strong>. Edificaciones una al lado de otra, sin ning\u00fan orden ni concierto. Como para hablarle a usted de que la arquitectura llena de alma los edificios y ayuda a que las personas sean m\u00e1s felices. Sin duda, es mucho mejor que \u201ccualquier t\u00e9cnico competente en edificaci\u00f3n\u201d pueda hacer la arquitectura de nuestras ciudades y convierta a \u00e9stas en los estafermos industriales<\/em> de los que le ven\u00eda hablando.<\/p>\n

\u00a1Ah! antes de que se me pase. Tambi\u00e9n, ya puestos, quiero entonar un mea culpa<\/em> de nuestro sector. No, no le voy a pedir perd\u00f3n por los desastres urban\u00edsticos<\/strong> que se han cometido macizando nuestro pa\u00eds. Eso, es cierto, lo firmaron arquitectos; pero, eran cuatro y solo hac\u00edan de mano ejecutora de una sucia alianza entre el sector inmobiliario y los pol\u00edticos<\/strong> que alentaron y permitieron tal desaguisado.<\/p>\n

El mea culpa<\/em> que quiero entonar es porque los arquitectos, durante todos estos a\u00f1os, no nos hemos preocupado de contar qu\u00e9 es lo que hac\u00edamos o para qu\u00e9 serv\u00edamos.<\/p>\n

Por esta raz\u00f3n, la sociedad no tiene ni idea de lo que es un arquitecto<\/strong> o cu\u00e1les son las ventajas de que un buen arquitecto realice un proyecto de arquitectura. As\u00ed, usted como parte de esta sociedad, corrobora esta idea y nos pega una patada en el culo, para vender una moto que no es, pero que seguramente le dar\u00e1 m\u00e1s votos. Porque en pol\u00edtica el voto importa, otra cosa es c\u00f3mo se consigue, \u00bfno?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sin embargo, la mayor\u00eda de nosotros somos arquitectos porque nacimos con la arquitectura en la sangre; en nuestro ADN ya ven\u00eda impreso nuestro amor por la arquitectura. Porque, aunque le parezca mentira, a la arquitectura se le puede amar y \u00e9sta se ha de realizar con amor; es m\u00e1s, si no se hace as\u00ed, ser\u00e1n unos cuantos tipos haciendo como que hacen arquitectura <\/strong>y mirando el reloj para no dibujar ni una raya de m\u00e1s de la cuenta. La eficiencia es la eficiencia y el tiempo, en este caso m\u00e1s que nunca, es oro.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s, ahora tengo otro problema<\/strong>, y no es que con cincuenta a\u00f1os casi no tenga trabajo y no sepa muy bien qu\u00e9 va a ser de mi. Mi problema es que uno de mis dos hijos, despu\u00e9s del verano, va a entrar a la universidad; y \u00bfsabe lo que quiere estudiar? Efectivamente: ARQUITECTURA<\/strong>. Ya ve que ni aun vi\u00e9ndome en la cuerda m\u00e1s floja que jam\u00e1s hubiera podido imaginar, he podido camuflar mi pasi\u00f3n por lo que hago.<\/p>\n

Aun con todo, un adolescente como \u00e9l quiere entregar su vida a la profesi\u00f3n m\u00e1s bella del mundo. Pero a usted \u00a1qu\u00e9 le importa! Como ve, un casi ni\u00f1o es capaz de entender, mucho mejor que usted, que los arquitectos y la arquitectura ser\u00e1n siempre necesarios<\/strong> y que con \u201cpol\u00edticas\u201d como las suyas, no solo perdemos los arquitectos, que puede dar m\u00e1s o menos igual; quien pierde de verdad, y pierde mucho, es la sociedad a que se supone que usted debiera servir. Ya sabe que servidor y servil no son lo mismo, \u00bfno?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A\u00ednda que, \u00e1s veces par\u00e9zao, os arquitectos non nos caemos dun guindo. Vaia\u2026 que non lle fixo graza o comezo da mi\u00f1a carta; pois ao meu tampouco me est\u00e1 facendo ningunha graza a nova Lei de Servizos Profesionais que, desde o seu MINISTERIO de Econom\u00eda, quere sacar adiante. Agora mesmo, por desgraza e, en parte, por culpa de quen nos gobernan, sufrimos unha das crises m\u00e1is violentas da historia e o noso gremio, os arquitectos, somos especialmente prexudicados por iso. Agora mesmo, hai unhas baixadas de honorarios bestiais<\/strong> para realizar calquera traballo de arquitectura; as\u00ed que, aumentar a\u00ednda m\u00e1is a competencia non levar\u00e1 a ning\u00fan sitio m\u00e1is al\u00f3 da ru\u00edna de miles de profesionais. Porque quen se levar\u00e1n o traballo ser\u00e1n grandes ingenier\u00edas que son as m\u00e1is r\u00e1pidas e baratas do mundo. Iso si, sobre a calidade do que vaian facer mellor non me pronuncio.<\/p>\n

As\u00ed, os arquitectos espa\u00f1ois que, non por casualidade, foron reco\u00f1ecidos por medio mundo como altamente cualificados, non poder\u00e1n optar nin \u00e1s fragullas do pastel. Desta forma, en vez de encontrar o xeito de que estes arquitectos, cunha formaci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica moito m\u00e1is potente que na maior\u00eda Europa, puidesen optar \u00e1 dobre titulaci\u00f3n<\/strong> de arquitectos e enxe\u00f1eiros, vai suceder, xusto o contrario. Por desgracia, os enxe\u00f1eiros, sen ning\u00fan tipo de formaci\u00f3n espec\u00edfica en arquitectura, poder\u00e1n, se un milagre non o impide, facer de arquitectos. !De traca!!<\/p>\n

De todos os xeitos, non ten vostede m\u00e1is que darse unha volta por calquera arredores das nosas cidades e ver como son nosos pol\u00edgonos industriais<\/strong>. Edificaci\u00f3ns unha ao lado doutra, sen ningunha orde nin concerto. Como para falarlle a vostede de que a arquitectura enche de alma os edificios e axuda a que as persoas sexan m\u00e1is felices. Sen d\u00fabida, \u00e9 moito mellor que \u201ccalquera t\u00e9cnico competente en edificaci\u00f3n\u201d poida facer a arquitectura das nosas cidades e converta estas nos estafermos industriais<\/em> dos que lle vi\u00f1a falando.<\/p>\n

\u00a1Ah! antes de que se me pase. Tam\u00e9n, xa postos, quero entoar un mea culpa<\/em> do noso sector. Non, non lle vou pedir perd\u00f3n polos desastres urban\u00edsticos<\/strong> que se cometeron macizando o noso pa\u00eds. Iso, \u00e9 certo, asin\u00e1rono arquitectos; pero, eran catro e s\u00f3 fac\u00edan de man executora dunha sucia alianza entre o sector inmobiliario e os pol\u00edticos<\/strong> que alentaron e permitiron tal desaguisado.<\/p>\n

O mea culpa<\/em> que quero entoar \u00e9 porque os arquitectos, durante todos estes anos, non nos preocupamos de contar que \u00e9 o que faciamos ou para que serviamos.<\/p>\n

Por esta raz\u00f3n, a sociedade non ten nin idea do que \u00e9 un arquitecto<\/strong> ou cales son as vantaxes de que un bo arquitecto realice un proxecto de arquitectura. As\u00ed, vostede como parte desta sociedade, corrobora esta idea e nos pega unha patada no cu, para vender unha moto que non \u00e9, pero que seguramente lle dar\u00e1 m\u00e1is votos. Porque en pol\u00edtica o voto importa, outra cousa \u00e9 como se consegue, \u00bfnon?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Non obstante, a maior\u00eda de n\u00f3s somos arquitectos porque nacemos coa arquitectura no sangue; no noso ADN xa vi\u00f1a imprimido o noso amor pola arquitectura. Porque, a\u00ednda que lle pareza mentira, \u00e1 arquitectura se lle pode amar e esta se ha de realizar con amor; \u00e9 m\u00e1is, se non se fai as\u00ed, ser\u00e1n uns cantos tipos facendo como que fan arquitectura<\/strong> e mirando o reloxo para non debuxar nin unha raia de m\u00e1is da conta. A eficiencia \u00e9 a eficiencia e o tempo, neste caso m\u00e1is que nunca, \u00e9 ouro.<\/p>\n

Ademais, agora te\u00f1o outro problema,<\/strong> e non \u00e9 que con cincuenta anos case non te\u00f1a traballo e non saiba moi ben que vai ser do meu. O meu problema \u00e9 que un dos meus dous fillos, despois do ver\u00e1n, vai entrar \u00e1 universidade; y \u00bfsabe o que quere estudar? Efectivamente: ARQUITECTURA<\/strong>. Xa ve que nin a\u00ednda v\u00e9ndome na corda m\u00e1is frouxa que xamais tivese podido imaxinar, puiden camuflar a mi\u00f1a paix\u00f3n polo que fago.<\/p>\n

A\u00ednda con todo, un adolescente como el quere entregar a s\u00faa vida \u00e1 profesi\u00f3n m\u00e1is bela do mundo. Pero a vostede \u00a1que lle importa! Como ve, un case neno \u00e9 capaz de entender, moito mellor ca vostede, que os arquitectos e a arquitectura ser\u00e1n sempre necesarios<\/strong> e que con \u201cpol\u00edticas\u201d como as s\u00faas, non s\u00f3 perdemos os arquitectos, que pode dar m\u00e1is ou menos igual; quen perde de verdade, e perde moito, \u00e9 a sociedade a que se sup\u00f3n que vostede debese servir. Xa sabe que servidor e servil non son o mesmo, \u00bfnon?<\/strong><\/p>\n
