En los a\u00f1os noventa el por entonces alcalde de Madrid, Agust\u00edn Rodr\u00edguez Sahag\u00fan, tuvo una idea que me pareci\u00f3 muy hermosa: A cada ni\u00f1o que naciera en Madrid se le asignar\u00eda un \u00e1rbol. A los pies de \u00e9ste se colocar\u00eda una placa con el nombre y la fecha de nacimiento del beb\u00e9, y al neonato se le dar\u00eda la informaci\u00f3n precisa sobre su \u00e1rbol.<\/p>\n

As\u00ed, ciudadano y \u00e1rbol crecer\u00edan juntos. Desde sus primeros d\u00edas de vida, la criatura humana ir\u00eda con sus padres a ver a la criatura arb\u00f3rea y la tomar\u00eda cari\u00f1o, hasta, de alguna manera, corresponsabilizarse de ella y, por extensi\u00f3n, amar a cada uno de los \u00e1rboles (tan necesarios) de su contaminada ciudad.<\/p>\n

Pero aqu\u00ed lo normal es que las ideas nazcan y mueran con una persona o con un equipo, y que nadie las contin\u00fae. Aquello se qued\u00f3 en nada, y s\u00f3lo unos pocos miles de madrile\u00f1os, nacidos durante unos pocos a\u00f1os, tienen su \u00e1rbol. Pero es que, adem\u00e1s, casi todas las placas de azulejo se han borrado.<\/p>\n

Bueno, pues a m\u00ed, que aplaud\u00ed y sigo aplaudiendo aquella idea, y que celebro que miles de veintea\u00f1eros tengan \u201csu\u201d \u00e1rbol y lo sigan visitando y atendiendo, lo de que las placas se borren me parece muy bien.<\/p>\n

Eso de salir del portal de Fern\u00e1ndez de la Hoz, 28 (es un poner) y encontrarte con el azulejo de \u201cPaola Gonz\u00e1lez Almendros, 9-1-91\u201d (es otro poner) me parece inquietante. (A ver si me explico: Me parece estupendo que Paola sepa que ese es su \u00e1rbol, e incluso que haya una relaci\u00f3n p\u00fablica y publicada de correspondencias entre \u00e1rboles y ciudadanos, pero no s\u00e9 si est\u00e1 bien que el \u00e1rbol exhiba la etiqueta).<\/p>\n

Esto lo pens\u00e9 el otro d\u00eda paseando por la Calle de la Bas\u00edlica, en Madrid. A un lado ten\u00eda el templo \u201cde O\u00edza\u201d, y al otro las viviendas \u201cde Cano Lasso\u201d. Y vi uno de estos \u00e1rboles con el azulejo borrado.<\/p>\n

Entonces pens\u00e9 que ese templo s\u00f3lo era \u201cde O\u00edza\u201d y esas casas \u201cde Cano Lasso\u201d para los arquitectos. Para \u201cla gente normal\u201d son \u201cuna iglesia\u201d y \u201cunas casas\u201d. Y a lo mejor \u2013lo m\u00e1s seguro- hasta les gustan y les parecen bien pensadas y bien construidas.<\/p>\n

Del mismo modo, el \u00e1rbol ese es un pl\u00e1tano, o un casta\u00f1o, o lo que sea, y da buena sombra, y alegra el paseo; pero que sea de Juan Antonio M\u00fagica Rodr\u00edguez o de Alicia Huidobro G\u00f3mez s\u00f3lo les interesa a los mencionados y a sus allegados m\u00e1s directos.<\/p>\n

Nosotros admiramos a los autores de los edificios, y les seguimos, y aprendemos de ellos. Eso est\u00e1 muy bien. Pero los edificios han de ser an\u00f3nimos. Los edificios deben disolverse como un azucarillo en la ciudad. La forman y la conforman, pero por eso mismo se deben difuminar en el edificio de enfrente, en la manzana de m\u00e1s all\u00e1, en este paseo arbolado, como lo hacen, sabiamente, los dos edificios que he mencionado. Como lo hace el \u00e1rbol con el azulejo borrado.<\/p>\n

Tengo el privilegio de disfrutar habitualmente como usuario an\u00f3nimo de un edificio que proyect\u00e9 y dirig\u00ed. No est\u00e1 nada mal. No es nada, pero funciona bien. Tendr\u00e1 unos diez o doce a\u00f1os y le han hecho algunas peque\u00f1as reformas, no tanto de obras, sino de usos. Unas me gustan m\u00e1s y otras menos; pero \u00bfqui\u00e9n soy yo? Prev\u00ed una entrada principal que sigo pensando que est\u00e1 bien dise\u00f1ada, y que tiene hasta una p\u00e9rgola que la enfatiza suavemente. Pero se entra por otro lado. Pues porque hace falta menos personal, o porque se aparca mejor en la calle lateral, o por lo que sea. No me gusta eso, pero me encanta que la gente use ese edificio que no ha hecho nadie, que no ha dise\u00f1ado nadie, que se ha hecho solo y sigue funcionando. Todo lo dem\u00e1s son ganas de marear y de amargarse la vida.<\/p>\n

In the nineties for mayor at the time of Madrid, Agust\u00edn Rodr\u00edguez Sahag\u00fan, it had an idea that seemed to me to be very beautiful: To every child who was born in Madrid a tree would be assigned. To the feet of this one a plate would be placed by the name and the date of birth of the baby, and there would be given to the neonato the precise information about his tree.<\/p>\n

This way, citizen and tree would grow together. From his first days of life, the human creature would be going with his parents to see to the arboreal creature and fondness would take it, even, somehow, corresponsabilizarse of her and, for extension, to love to each of the trees (so necessary) of his contaminated city.<\/p>\n

But here the normal thing is that the ideas are born and die with a person or with an equipment, and that nobody continues. That one remained in nothing, and only a few thousands of persons from Madrid, born for some years, they have his tree. But it is that, in addition, almost all the plates of blue roller have resigned.<\/p>\n

Then I thought that this temple only was \u00abof O\u00edza\u00bb and these houses \u00bb of Cano Lasso\u00bb for the architects. For \u00abthe normal people\u00bb they are \u00bb a \u00bb and church \u00bb a few houses \u00ab. And probably – the surest thing – they like up to them and seem to them well-considered well and constructed well.<\/p>\n

In the same way, the tree this is a banana, or a chestnut-tree, or what is, and gives good shade, and the walk makes happy; but that belongs to Juan Antonio M\u00fagica Rodr\u00edguez or of Alicia Huidobro G\u00f3mez only they are interested to the mentioned ones and to his more direct relatives.<\/p>\n

We admire the authors of the buildings, and follow them, and learn of them. It are it very nice. But the buildings have to be anonymous. The buildings must dissolve as a candy-floss in the city. They form her and shape it, but because of it same they must fade away into the building of face, in the apple of beyond, in this wooded walk, since it is done, wisely, by both buildings that I have mentioned. Since the tree does it with the erased blue roller.<\/p>\n

I have the privilege of enjoying habitually as anonymous user of a building that I projected and directed. It is not not bad at all. It is not at all, but it works well. It will have approximately ten or twelve years and they have done some small reforms to him, not so much of works, but of uses. I like some more and others less; but who am I I? I foresaw a principal entry that I continue thinking that it is designed well, and that has up to a pergola that he emphasizes softly. But it is entered on the other hand. Aos p\u00e9s deste colocar\u00edase unha placa co nome e a data de nacemento do beb\u00e9, e ao neonato dar\u00edaselle a informaci\u00f3n precisa sobre a s\u00faa \u00e1rbore.<\/p>\n

As\u00ed, cidad\u00e1n e \u00e1rbore crecer\u00edan xuntos. Desde os seus primeiros d\u00edas de vida, a criatura humana ir\u00eda cos seus pais a ver \u00e1 criatura arb\u00f3rea e tomar\u00edaa agarimo, ata, dalg\u00fan xeito, corresponsabilizarse dela e, por extensi\u00f3n, amar a cada un das \u00e1rbores (tan necesarios) da s\u00faa contaminada cidade.<\/p>\n

Pero aqu\u00ed o normal \u00e9 que as ideas nazan e morran cunha persoa ou cun equipo, e que ningu\u00e9n as contin\u00fae. Aquilo quedouse en nada, e s\u00f3 uns poucos miles de madrile\u00f1os, nacidos durante uns poucos anos, te\u00f1en a s\u00faa \u00e1rbore. Pero \u00e9 que, ademais, case todas as placas de azulexo borr\u00e1ronse.<\/p>\n

Isto penseino o outro d\u00eda paseando pola R\u00faa da Bas\u00edlica, en Madrid. Ao car\u00f3n ti\u00f1a o templo \u201cde O\u00edza\u201d, e ao outro as vivendas \u201cde Cano Lasso\u201d. E vin un destas \u00e1rbores co azulexo borrado.<\/p>\n

Ent\u00f3n pensei que ese templo s\u00f3 era \u201cde O\u00edza\u201d e esas casas \u201cde Cano Lasso\u201d para os arquitectos. Para \u201ca xente normal\u201d son \u201cunha igrexa\u201d e \u201cunhas casas\u201d. E se cadra \u2013o m\u00e1is seguro- ata lles gustan e par\u00e9cenlles ben pensadas e ben constru\u00eddas.<\/p>\n

Do mesmo xeito, a \u00e1rbore ese \u00e9 un pl\u00e1tano, ou un casti\u00f1eiro, ou o que sexa, e d\u00e1 boa sombra, e alegra o paseo; pero que sexa de Juan Antonio M\u00fagica Rodr\u00edguez ou de Alicia Huidobro G\u00f3mez s\u00f3 lles interesa aos mencionados e aos seus achegados m\u00e1is directos.<\/p>\n

N\u00f3s admiramos aos autores dos edificios, e segu\u00edmoslles, e aprendemos deles. Iso est\u00e1 moi ben. Pero os edificios han de ser an\u00f3nimos. Os edificios deben disolverse como un azucarillo na cidade. F\u00f3rmana e conf\u00f3rmana, pero por iso mesmo d\u00e9bense difuminar no edificio de en fronte, na maz\u00e1 de m\u00e1is al\u00e1, neste paseo arbolado, como o fan, sabiamente, os dous edificios que mencionei. Como o fai a \u00e1rbore co azulexo borrado.<\/p>\n

Te\u00f1o o privilexio de gozar habitualmente como usuario an\u00f3nimo dun edificio que proxectei e dirix\u00edn. Non est\u00e1 nada mal. Non \u00e9 nada, pero funciona ben. Ter\u00e1 uns dez ou doce anos e fix\u00e9ronlle algunhas pequenas reformas, non tanto de obras, sen\u00f3n de usos. Unhas g\u00fastanme m\u00e1is e outras menos; pero quen son eu? Prev\u00edn unha entrada principal que sigo pensando que est\u00e1 ben dese\u00f1ada, e que ten ata unha p\u00e9rgola que a enfatiza suavemente. Pero \u00e9ntrase doutra banda. Pois porque fai falta menos persoal, ou porque se aparca mellor na r\u00faa lateral, ou polo que sexa. Non me gusta iso, pero enc\u00e1ntame que a xente use ese edificio que non fixo ningu\u00e9n, que non dese\u00f1ou ningu\u00e9n, que se fixo s\u00f3 e segue funcionando. Todo o demais son ganas de marear e de amargarse a vida.<\/p>\n
