El pr\u00f3ximo 30 de mayo Dionisio Gonz\u00e1lez inaugurar\u00e1 su primera exposici\u00f3n en Ivorypress Space, bajo el t\u00edtulo Le Corbusier: The Last Project<\/em>. En esta muestra, que forma parte del Festival Off PHotoEspa\u00f1a, el reconocido fot\u00f3grafo reflexiona sobre la utop\u00eda, la supervivencia y la destrucci\u00f3n a partir de veinte proyectos que el arquitecto Le Corbusier no lleg\u00f3 a realizar.<\/p>\n

\u201cEsta exposici\u00f3n pretende mostrar una labor de restituci\u00f3n de vestigios omitidos\u201d<\/em>, explica Gonz\u00e1lez. Es, por tanto, una labor de archivo \u201cbasada en procesar el objeto, para que el olvido no lo corrompa y se interprete en su escala y en su dimensi\u00f3n\u201d. El artista ha seleccionado edificios que nunca llegaron a levantarse, como el Palacio del Gobernador en Chandigarh (India), la Villa Paul Prado en Buenos Aires (Argentina) o el Museo del Crecimiento Ilimitado (Argelia), para restituirlos y, a la vez, para destruirlos.<\/p>\n

El fot\u00f3grafo hace explotar los proyectos frustrados del maestro de la arquitectura moderna siguiendo la idea del fil\u00f3sofo Heidegger de que \u201ctodo proyecto no construido es una ruina\u201d<\/em>. La no ejecuci\u00f3n se convierte, aqu\u00ed, \u201cen una destrucci\u00f3n silenciosa y silenciada, en una explosi\u00f3n que, en este caso, implosiona\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Con esta serie, que podr\u00e1 verse en Ivorypress Space hasta el 13 de julio, el artista aborda tambi\u00e9n el concepto del espacio, \u201cun lugar-ninguna parte que nos remite al propio estado de la utop\u00eda que, en s\u00ed misma, se significa como ning\u00fan lugar, ninguna parte\u201d<\/em>, se\u00f1ala Gonz\u00e1lez.<\/p>\n

La muestra tambi\u00e9n incluye varias obras de la serie Dauphin Island, realizada recientemente por el artista e inspirada en la isla del mismo nombre, perteneciente al estado de Alabama (EE.UU.). \u201cMi inter\u00e9s por Dauphin Island procede del estudio de arquitecturas acu\u00e1ticas y palaf\u00edticas que tienen su origen en el Neol\u00edtico\u201d<\/em>, explica Gonz\u00e1lez. Se trata de una isla en el Golfo de M\u00e9xico que ha sufrido numerosas cat\u00e1strofes naturales y para la que el artista ha imaginado \u201cproyectos propositivos que configuran nuevas estructuras habitativas en los vac\u00edos de percepci\u00f3n de aquellos espacios previamente devastados\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Dionisio Gonz\u00e1lez (Gij\u00f3n, 1965) es profesor titular en la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad de Sevilla. A lo largo de su trayectoria art\u00edstica ha recibido diversos reconocimientos como el Premio Pilar Juncosa y Sotheby\u2019s de la Fundaci\u00f3 Pilar i Joan Mir\u00f3 o el Premio Europeo de Fotograf\u00eda Arendt Award en 2013. Ha expuesto en diversas instituciones y museos como el Museum of Contemporary Photography de Chicago, el Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sof\u00eda de Madrid (MNCARS), el Museu de Arte de S\u00e3o Paulo o el Museum of Contemporary Art de Toronto. Su obra se encuentra representada en destacadas colecciones como la ING Art Collection de \u00e1msterdam, la del Centre National d\u2019Art et de Culture Georges-Pompidou de Par\u00eds o la Margulies Collection at The Warehouse, en Miami.<\/p>\n

Next May 30\u00a0Dionisio Gonz\u00e1lez will inaugurate his first exhibition in Ivorypress Space, under the title Le Corbusier: The Last Project.<\/em> In this sample, which forms a part of the Festival Off PHotoEspa\u00f1a, the recognized photographer thinks about the Utopia, the survival and the destruction from twenty projects that the architect Le Corbusier did not manage to realize.<\/p>\n

\u00abThis exhibition tries to show a labor of restitution of vestiges omitted\u00bb<\/em>, makes clear Gonzalez. It is, therefore, a labor of file \u00abstocks in processing the object, in order that the oblivion not corrompa and it is interpreted in his scale and in his dimension\u00bb<\/em>. The photographer makes exploit the frustrated projects of the teacher of the modern architecture following the idea of the philosopher Heidegger of that \u00abany not constructed project is a ruin\u00bb<\/em>. The sample also includes several works of the series Dauphin Island, realized recently by the artist and inspired by the island of the same name, belonging to the condition of Alabama (USA). \u00abMy interest for Dauphin Island comes from the study of aquatic architectures and palaf\u00edticas that have his origin in the Neolithic one<\/em>\u00ab, makes clear Gonzalez. It is a question of an island in the Gulf of Mexico that it has suffered numerous natural catastrophes and for the one that the artist has imagined \u00abprojects propositivos that form new structures habitativas in the emptinesses of perception of those before devastated spaces\u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n

Dionysus Gonzalez (Gijon, 1965) is a titular teacher in the Faculty of Fine arts of the University of Seville. Along his artistic path Pilar Juncosa y Sotheby’s of the Fundaci\u00f3 Pilar has received diverse recognitions as the Prize i Joan Miro or the European Prize of Photography Arendt Award in 2013. It has exposed in diverse institutions and museums as the Museum of Contemporary Photography of Chicago, the National Museum Center of Art Contemporary Art of Toronto Reigns Sofia of Madrid (MNCARS), the Museu of S\u00e3o Paulo’s Art or the Museum of. His work Art Collection is represented in out-standing collections as the ING of \u00e1msterdam, of The Warehouse Centres National d’Art et of Culture Georges-Pompidou of Paris or the Margulies Collection at, in Miami.<\/p>\n
