Un opaco prisma de hormig\u00f3n ocupa la totalidad del solar. Dentro de la rigurosa ret\u00edcula de cicatrices dejadas en el hormig\u00f3n por berenjenos, pasadores y tableros de encofrado, se recorta centrada una estrecha puerta, \u00fanicamente dibujada por la sombra que se genera en el interior. En sentido estricto no existe la puerta, \u00fanicamente un umbral que parece conectar la calle con otro mundo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Construida entre medianeras, \u00e9sta austera fachada es la \u00fanica relaci\u00f3n de la casa con la calle y por extensi\u00f3n con la ciudad. El interior se divide en tres partes iguales: dos vol\u00famenes cerrados de dos plantas y un patio sobre el que se vuelcan los anteriores. En la planta baja se ubican una sala y una cocina, separadas por el patio, mientras que en la planta superior se sit\u00faan los dormitorios que tiene la casa. El espacio central es la \u00fanica fuente de luz natural de todas las estancias de la vivienda.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Toda la casa se organiza en relaci\u00f3n a este patio descubierto ineludible. Patio insalvable en la vida cotidiana, ya que en este espacio central se encuentra la escalera y la pasarela que permite acceder y cruzar de una estancia a otra en el piso superior. El patio resuelve los elementos de distribuci\u00f3n verticales y horizontales de la casa, lugares que en nuestros esquemas mentales son espacios irrenunciablemente interiores. En cambio en la Azuma House estos espacios que hay que cruzarlos bajo la lluvia o sintiendo el fr\u00edo de la noche mientras se transita de la cocina al dormitorio, del sal\u00f3n al aseo, o de la habitaci\u00f3n de los ni\u00f1os al espacio de los padres. A diferencia de los patios o claustros occidentales en el que los tr\u00e1nsitos se realizan a cubierto, este espacio impone su tiran\u00eda al obligar a los habitantes de la casa a moverse en la intemperie.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Desde una visi\u00f3n funcionalistas europea resulta incomprensible esta distribuci\u00f3n. Si la casa es un \u00e1mbito de protecci\u00f3n, un lugar en el que el hombre se cobija de las agresiones de la naturaleza, la Azuma House reinterpreta \u00e9ste pensamiento y cobija al hombre protegi\u00e9ndolo de la selva de la ciudad, oblig\u00e1ndolo a convivir con los ciclos naturales.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El patio de la casa es un espacio exterior, un espacio en el que la lluvia, el sol, el fr\u00edo, el d\u00eda o la noche se hacen presentes seg\u00fan los dictados de la naturaleza, pero por contra es un espacio interior, un dominio privado cortocircuitado por completo del contexto urbano. Es este espacio por lo tanto, un espacio ambiguo, un interior dominado por las condiciones del exterior.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Para resumir esta casa habr\u00eda que explicar este edificio mediante las condiciones de este patio y relatando la relaci\u00f3n de la casa con la ciudad. El centro de la casa, su n\u00facleo interior, es un vac\u00edo exterior, en el que los habitantes de la casa se relacionan directamente con la naturaleza y con el cielo, pero no con el exterior que supone la ciudad de Osaka.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pero tal vez, aunque de forma involuntaria, la mejor definici\u00f3n de la Azuma House la elabor\u00f3 Peter Zumthor cuando en su texto Atm\u00f3sferas se remit\u00eda a la idea de tensi\u00f3n entre interior y exterior y afirmaba:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u00abEncuentro incre\u00edble que con la arquitectura arranquemos un trozo del globo terr\u00e1queo y construyamos con \u00e9l una peque\u00f1a caja. De repente, nos encontramos con un dentro y un afuera. Na planta baixa sit\u00faanse unha sala e unha coci\u00f1a, separadas polo patio, mentres que na planta superior sit\u00faanse os dormitorios que ten a casa. O espazo central \u00e9 a \u00fanica fonte de luz natural de todas as estancias da vivenda.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Toda a casa organ\u00edzase en relaci\u00f3n a este patio descuberto ineludible. Patio insalvable na vida coti\u00e1, xa que neste espazo central at\u00f3pase a escaleira e a pasarela que permite acceder e cruzar dunha estancia a outra no piso superior. O patio resolve os elementos de distribuci\u00f3n verticais e horizontales da casa, lugares que nos nosos esquemas mentais son espazos irrenunciablemente interiores. En cambio na Azuma House estes espazos que hai que cruzalos baixo a choiva ou sentindo o fr\u00edo da noite mentres se transita da coci\u00f1a ao dormitorio, do sal\u00f3n ao aseo, ou da habitaci\u00f3n dos nenos ao espazo dos pais. A diferenza dos patios ou claustros occidentais no que os tr\u00e1nsitos real\u00edzanse a cuberto, este espazo imp\u00f3n a s\u00faa tiran\u00eda ao obrigar aos habitantes da casa a moverse na intemperie.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Desde unha visi\u00f3n funcionalistas europea resulta incomprensible esta distribuci\u00f3n. Si a casa \u00e9 un \u00e1mbito de protecci\u00f3n, un lugar no que o home acub\u00edllase das agresi\u00f3ns da natureza, a Azuma House reinterpreta este pensamento e acubilla ao home protex\u00e9ndoo da selva da cidade, obrig\u00e1ndoo a convivir cos ciclos naturais.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">O patio da casa \u00e9 un espazo exterior, un espazo no que a choiva, o sol, o fr\u00edo, o d\u00eda ou a noite fanse presentes segundo os dictados da natureza, pero por contra \u00e9 un espazo interior, un dominio privado cortocircuitado por completo do contexto urbano. \u00c9 este espazo polo tanto, un espazo ambiguo, un interior dominado polas condici\u00f3ns do exterior.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Para resumir esta casa haber\u00eda que explicar este edificio mediante as condici\u00f3ns deste patio e relatando a relaci\u00f3n da casa coa cidade. O centro da casa, o seu n\u00facleo interior, \u00e9 un baleiro exterior, no que os habitantes da casa relaci\u00f3nanse directamente coa natureza e co ceo, pero non co exterior que sup\u00f3n a cidade de Osaka.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pero tal vez, a\u00ednda que de forma involuntaria, a mellor definici\u00f3n da Azuma House elaborouna Peter Zumthor cando no seu texto Atmosferas remit\u00edase \u00e1 idea de tensi\u00f3n entre interior e exterior e afirmaba:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u00abEncontro incrible que coa arquitectura arrinquemos un anaco do globo terr\u00e1queo e construamos con el unha pequena caixa. An opaque prism of concrete occupies the totality of the lot. Inside the rigorous reticle of scars left in the concrete for berenjenos, pins and boards of encofrado, a narrow door stands out centred, only drawn by the shade that is generated in the interior. In strict sense the door does not exist, only a threshold that seems to connect the street with another world.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Constructed between dividing, this one austere front is the only relation of the house with the street and for extension with the city. The interior divides in three equal parts: two closed volumes of two plants and a court on which the previous ones are overturned. In the ground floor there are located a room and a kitchen separated by the court, whereas in the top floor there place the bedrooms that the house has. The central space is the only natural light source of all the stays of the housing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The whole house is organized in relation to this disclosed unavoidable court. Insurmountable court in the daily life, since in this central space one finds the stairs and the gangplank that allows to accede and to cross from a stay to other one in the top floor. The court solves the vertical and horizontal elements of distribution of the house, places that in our mental schemes are spaces irrenunciablemente interior. On the other hand in the Azuma House these spaces that it is necessary to cross under the rain or feeling the cold of the night while one travels from the kitchen to the bedroom, from the lounge to the bathroom, or from the room of the children to the space of the parents. Unlike the courts or western cloisters in that the tr\u00e1nsitos carry out to cutlery, this space imposes his tyranny on having forced the inhabitants of the house to move in the outdoors.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From a vision funcionalistas European this distribution turns out to be incomprehensible. If the house is an area of protection, a place in which the man hides of the aggressions of the nature, the Azuma House reinterprets this one thought and shelters the man protecting it from the jungle of the city, forcing it to coexist with the natural cycles.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The court of the house is an exterior space, a space in which the rain, the Sun, the cold, the day or the night they become present according to the dictations of the nature, but for against it is an interior space, a private domain short-circuited completely of the urban context. It is this space therefore, an ambiguous space, an interior dominated by the conditions of the exterior.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To summarize this house there would be necessary to explain this building by means of the conditions of this court and reporting the relation of the house with the city. The center of the house, his interior core, is an exterior emptiness, in which the inhabitants of the house relate directly to the nature and to the sky, but not with the exterior that supposes the city of Osaka.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But maybe, though of involuntary form, Peter Zumthor elaborated the best definition of the Azuma House when in his text Atmospheres it was sent to the tension idea between interior and exterior and was affirming:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u00abIncredible meeting that with the architecture we start a chunk of the terrestrial globe and construct with him a small box.
