M\u00e1s a\u00fan si se trata de un destino perseguido desde hace tiempo, cuya visita se convierte en una ans\u00edada meta y, al mismo tiempo, en el comienzo de nuevas reflexiones y viajes en el espacio y el tiempo, que ampl\u00edan y rememoran la propia experiencia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Estos d\u00edas he podido recorrer la ciudad de Nueva York, \u00abcapital de las im\u00e1genes contempor\u00e1neas\u00bb y domicilio recurrente del pensamiento moderno, participando del di\u00e1logo establecido entre urbe y ambiente cultural, ya refrendado por numerosos autores. Quiero trasladar aqu\u00ed algunos de los fragmentos del cuaderno de viaje, comenzando por las lecturas que me acompa\u00f1aron, antes y durante la traves\u00eda, con un peque\u00f1o texto de cada una:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Le Corbusier<\/strong>, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2HgUch6\" target=\"_blank\">Cuando las catedrales eran blancas. Un viaje al pa\u00eds de los t\u00edmidos<\/a><\/em> (1934)<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u00abNueva York no es una ciudad concluida&#8230; Es una ciudad en devenir. Pertenece hoy al mundo. Sin que nadie lo esperara, se ha transformado en el flor\u00f3n de la corona de las ciudades universales, en que est\u00e1n las ciudades muertas de que s\u00f3lo quedan los recuerdos y las fundaciones y cuya evocaci\u00f3n es estimulante; en que est\u00e1n las ciudades vivientes que padecen a causa del molde angosto de las civilizaciones pasadas\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Rem Koolhaas<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2HrRKo3\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Delirio de Nueva York. Respondiendo a la latitud de Manhattan, la composici\u00f3n representa la vista de un cielo mediterr\u00e1neo en invierno. Retrospectivamente, uno no puede sino asombrarse de la inocencia que supon\u00eda iluminar desde dentro las sesenta estellas m\u00e1s grandes de este firmamento y ajustar su luminosidad respectiva para simular la magnitud de su brillo en el espacio\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Marc Fumaroli<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2E9n4XZ\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Par\u00eds &#8211; Nueva York &#8211; Par\u00eds. Even more if it is a question of a destination chased for time, which visit turns into an ans\u00edada put and, at the same time, in the beginning of new reflections and trips in the space and the time, that they extend and recall the own experience.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These days I could have crossed the city of New York, \u00abthe capital of the contemporary images\u00bb and domicile appellant of the modern thought, taking part of the dialog established between city and cultural environment, already countersigned by numerous authors. Profesor invitado en la Robert Gordon University de Aberdeen (Reino Unido), en la Universidade do Minho (Portugal) y en la Universit\u00e0 degli Studi di Roma La Sapienza (Italia). Director del proyecto de investigaci\u00f3n \u00abHistoria de la restauraci\u00f3n y puesta en valor del patrimonio arquitect\u00f3nico en Galicia\u00bb, becado por la Diputaci\u00f3n Provincial de A Coru\u00f1a en el a\u00f1o 2007. Miembro de la red UEDXX Urbanism of European Dictatorships during the XXth Century, del Grupo de Investigaci\u00f3n en Historia de la Arquitectura y del Grupo de Innovaci\u00f3n Docente en Historia de la Arquitectura.
