Este pasado viernes, dia 15<\/strong> de junio<\/strong>, se celebr\u00f3 la doble inauguraci\u00f3n de la exposici\u00f3n \u00abSof\u00e1s\u00bb de Amador Iravedra<\/strong>, a las 20:00 h. en la Galer\u00eda Metro, r\u00faa Nova, 24 de Santiago de Compostela, y a las 21:00 h. en el Colexio Oficial de Arquitectos de Galicia, Casa da Conga. Esta exposici\u00f3n permanecer\u00e1 abierta hasta el d\u00eda 13 de julio<\/strong> en horario de 11:00 a 14:00 horas en la Casa da Conga<\/strong>, y de 11:00 a 14:00 horas e 17:00 a 21:00 horas en Galer\u00eda Metro<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Callejear por Londres es un regalo para los ojos, mucha informaci\u00f3n en infinidad de im\u00e1genes que se acopian en tu cabeza, pero \u00bfqu\u00e9 es lo que quiero contar? Resolv\u00ed mi duda desde el instante en que encontr\u00e9 mi primero sof\u00e1* abandonado, o quiz\u00e1s \u00e9l me encontr\u00f3 a m\u00ed cuando me llam\u00f3 poderosamente la atenci\u00f3n y decid\u00ed fotografiarlo desde un encuadre frontal, directo, dejando ver el habitualmente gris background londinense.<\/em><\/p>\n

Un tiempo despu\u00e9s empec\u00e9 a fijarme en los cat\u00e1logos de sof\u00e1s y su mundo ideal de hogares y familias felices, inspirado por esa publicidad decid\u00ed montar mi propia campa\u00f1a: SOFAS IRAVEDRA, con camisetas y carteler\u00eda previas a mis exposiciones, que con una chiscadela despistan el espectador y lo introducen en una galer\u00eda a ver la serie de fotograf\u00edas SOFAS.<\/em><\/p>\n

Ruar por Londres \u00e9 un agasallo para os ollos, moita informaci\u00f3n en infinidade de imaxes que se amorean na t\u00faa cabeza, pero que \u00e9 o que quero contar? This last Friday, the 15th of June, there was celebrated the double inauguration of the exhibition \u00abSofas\u00bb Amador Iravedra<\/strong>, at 20:00 h. in the Metro Galler<\/strong>y, r\u00faa Nongoes, 24 in Santiago de Compostela, and at 21:00 h. in the Colexio Oficial de Arquitectos de Galicia, Casa da Conga<\/strong>. This exhibition will remain opened until July 13 in schedule of 11:00 to 14:00 hours in the House it gives Conga, and of 11:00 to 14:00 hours and 17:00 to 21:00 hours in Metro Galler<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n

Wandering around the streets of London is a treat for the eyes. So much information in so many images that pile up in your mind. But what do I really want to say? The answer came to me the moment I found my first discarded sofa*. (Or was it the sofa that found me?) It so caught my attention that I decided to photograph it in a direct, full frame against the ever-grey backdrop of London. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Some time later, I started to notice sofa catalogues and their ideal world of home sweet homes and smiling families. It was with this advertising in mind that I decided to launch my own campaign: SOFAS IRAVEDRA<\/strong>, with promotional T-shirts and posters before the exhibition itself. It is an inside joke to throw off passersby who will inadvertently walk into a gallery to see the photo series SOFAS.<\/em><\/p>\n
