Afortunadamente solo unas pocas viviendas realizadas por Le Corbusier han sido demolidas. Entre ellas contamos la Maison du Tonkin en Boredaux de 1926, destruida en 1975, la villa Church en ville D\u2019avray de 1927 y el apartamento Beistegui en Par\u00eds de 1929. Otras, han sufrido la intervenci\u00f3n desmedida de sus due\u00f1os. Un caso t\u00edpico es el barrio en Fruges de 1924, donde varias viviendas fueron objeto de modificaciones para resolver las necesidades de sus due\u00f1os y adaptarlas a la est\u00e9tica que cada uno crey\u00f3 conveniente para diferenciarla del resto de las viviendas. La Maison Ternisien en Bulogne sur Seine, Paris de 1926 tambi\u00e9n sufri\u00f3 modificaciones implementadas por sus propietarios. La villa Besnus en Vaucresson, que nos ocupa en este art\u00edculo, debe sumarse a esta \u00faltima categor\u00eda.<\/p>\n

La primera intervenci\u00f3n de los propietarios sobre la Villa Besnus fue el remplazo de la cubierta plana por un techo a cuatro aguas que corona el volumen. Posteriormente, el espacio entre la l\u00ednea municipal y el volumen construido por Le Corbusier fue utilizado para la incorporaci\u00f3n de locales comerciales, que se inici\u00f3 con la construcci\u00f3n de un \u00fanico local sobre el lado derecho de la elevaci\u00f3n de calle, continu\u00f3 con el agregado de otro local a continuaci\u00f3n de \u00e9ste, y finalmente se decidi\u00f3 ocupar la totalidad del frente, extendiendo la construcci\u00f3n hasta la esquina, rodeando la vivienda, pero manteniendo rid\u00edculamente las barandas superiores de la losa que formaba el semi cubierto sobre el acceso. El resultado final es una desinteresada construcci\u00f3n que anulo casi por completo la val\u00eda arquitect\u00f3nica de la obra original.<\/p>\n

La casa fue encomendada a Le Corbusier por George Besnus, despu\u00e9s de quedar impresionado al visitar el Stand de urbanismo organizado por Le Corbusier para el Sal\u00f3n d\u2019Automne de 1922 y ver la maqueta de la casa Citroh\u00e4n. El terreno, ubicado al oeste de Par\u00eds, es una parcela triangular que ten\u00eda un pronunciado desnivel en el fondo del lote, de m\u00e1s de 2 metros sobre el nivel de la vereda de calle. Este desnivel es aprovechado por Le Corbusier para distribuir los servicios de la vivienda en el nivel de calle y ubicar las \u00e1reas sociales por encima de \u00e9stos, una planta libre que expande hacia el interior del lote por la diferencia de niveles mencionada. El tercer nivel de la vivienda es ocupado por los dormitorios.<\/p>\n

Le Corbusier utiliza por primera vez un vocabulario desprovisto de molduras, con ventanas enrasadas al muro y vanos compuestos por medio de trazados reguladores. La cubierta plana acent\u00faa el car\u00e1cter prism\u00e1tico del volumen, que esta compuesto por dos fachadas distintas, una sobre la calle que combina asimetr\u00edas y simetr\u00edas y una trasera, absolutamente sim\u00e9trica y m\u00e1s baja que la anterior.<\/p>\n

En el dise\u00f1o volum\u00e9trico, Le Corbusier presto singular atenci\u00f3n al volumen de escalera, que en los primeros dibujos terminaba redondeada y estaba adosada en continuidad con el volumen de la vivienda, pero que despu\u00e9s desplaz\u00f3 para dar lugar al acceso, a ra\u00edz de una observaci\u00f3n que comenta en sus obras completas y se transcribe en la parte inferior del texto. Una carpinter\u00eda vertical y una losa en voladizo sobre la vereda de ingreso acent\u00faan la divisi\u00f3n entre estos cuerpos y marcan un eje transversal que se contrapone a la organizaci\u00f3n longitudinal de la vivienda.<\/p>\n

En una parte del film de Jacques Barzac, Le Corbusier comenta respecto de la obra:<\/p>\n

\u201cEn 1922 por primera vez hice una casa para una pareja que hab\u00eda le\u00eddo mis art\u00edculos. No eran muy ricos, quer\u00edan la casa en Vaucresson. Eran muy amables. La semana pasada recib\u00ed una carta con letra titubeante: \u201csoy la se\u00f1ora Besnus, tengo 94 a\u00f1os, usted construyo para mi su primera casa, o\u00ed hablar de usted por radio, quer\u00eda saludarlo\u201d. Fue muy dif\u00edcil esa casita, sobre todo la ventana del ba\u00f1o, que no se armonizaba con las otras. Fue complicado. Recuerdo que una noche \u00edbamos al Cirque d\u2019Hiver y de golpe en el ascensor dije: \u201dse me ocurri\u00f3 algo\u201d Esa ventana era fundamental, no ten\u00eda que desentonar, la hice respetando la unidad del conjunto\u201d. <\/em><\/p>\n

Lucky only a few housings realized Le Corbusier has been demolished. Between them we count the Maison du Tonkin in Boredaux of 1926, destroyed in 1975, the villa Church in ville D’avray of 1927 and the apartment Beistegui in Paris of 1929. Others, they have suffered the excessive intervention of his owners. A typical case is the neighborhood in Fruges of 1924, where several housings were an object of modifications to solve the needs of his owners and to adapt them to the aesthetics that each one believed suitably to separate it from the rest of the housings. The Maison Ternisien in south Bulogne Seine, Paris of 1926 also suffered modifications implemented by his owners. The villa Besnus in Vaucresson, which occupies us in this article, must add to the latter category.<\/p>\n

The first intervention of the owners on the Villa Besnus was I replace of the flat cover for a ceiling to four waters that the volume crowns. Later, the space between the municipal line and the volume constructed Corbusier was used for the incorporation of business premises, which began with the construction of a local only one on the right side of the elevation of street, continued with the attach\u00e9 of another place later of this one, and finally it was decided to occupy the totality of the front, extending the construction up to the corner, surrounding the housing, but supporting ridiculously the top railings of the slab that the semi covered on the access was forming. The final result is a disinterested construction that I annul almost completely the architectural value of the original work.<\/p>\n

The house was entrusted Le Corbusier by George Besnus, after remaining impressed when Corbusier to visit the Stand of urbanism organized by Him for the Lounge d’Automne of 1922 and to see the model of the house Citroh\u00e4n. The area located to the west of Paris, is a triangular plot that had a pronounced difference at the back of the lot, more than 2 meters on the level of the path of street. In the volumetric design, Him ready Corbusier singular attention to the volume of stairs, which in the first drawings was ending rounded and was leaned in continuity by the volume of the housing, but that later it displaced to give place to the access, immediately after an observation on that it comments in his complete works and is transcribed in the low part of the text. A vertical carpentry and a slab in projecting on the path of revenue accentuate the division between these bodies and mark a transverse axis that is opposed to the longitudinal organization of the housing.<\/p>\n

O resultado final \u00e9 unha desinteresada construci\u00f3n que anulo case por completo a val\u00eda arquitect\u00f3nica da obra orixinal.<\/p>\n
