El pr\u00f3ximo mi\u00e9rcoles 23 de mayo, la arquitecta alemana Christine Otto Kanstinger impartir\u00e1 una conferencia en el auditorio del Instituto de Arquitectura Avanzada de Catalu\u00f1a, IAAC, a las 19.30h. Bajo el t\u00edtulo <\/em><\/strong>La b\u00fasqueda de la forma<\/em>, y a partir de su experiencia, Kanstinger expondr\u00e1 sus conocimientos en torno a los conceptos de liviandad y sencillez tecnol\u00f3gica que identifican los proyectos del estudio Frei Otto, un estilo y una t\u00e9cnica que, a lo largo de las d\u00e9cadas, ha llegado a ser referencia emblem\u00e1tica de la arquitectura alemana contempor\u00e1nea.<\/p>\n

Las obras m\u00e1s representativas de Frei Otto son el Pabell\u00f3n de Alemania Occidental para la Exposici\u00f3n Mundial de 1967 celebrada en Montreal y la cubierta del Estadio Ol\u00edmpico del Parque Ol\u00edmpico de M\u00fanich, realizada en 1972. Con un gran respeto hacia la humanidad y la naturaleza, los objetos arquitect\u00f3nicos de Frei Otto brillan por su luz, simplicidad y espiritualidad.<\/p>\n

Christine Otto Kanstinger (Berl\u00edn,1961) estudi\u00f3 arquitectura en la Universidad de Stuttgart, donde su padre fund\u00f3 el Instituto de Estructuras Ligeras (1964) y se incorpor\u00f3 a Frei Otto Atelier en 1983. De sus intervenciones, destacan el Diplomatic Club, Riydah (1985), los Pabellones de Venezuela y Jap\u00f3n para la Exposici\u00f3n de Hannover 2000, as\u00ed como el celebrado \u00d6koh\u00e4user (‘Casas Eco’) en Berl\u00edn (1992-1990), un proyecto de viviendas ecol\u00f3gicas y adaptables a cada residente. Desde 2011, tambi\u00e9n colabora con SL-Rasch, una empresa alemana especializada en el dise\u00f1o y la fabricaci\u00f3n de estructuras ligeras.<\/p>\n

Under the title The search of the form, and from his experience, Kanstinger will expose his knowledge concerning the concepts of looseness and technological simplicity that there identify the projects of the study Frei Otto, a style and a technology that, throughout the decades, has managed to be an emblematic reference of the German contemporary architecture.<\/p>\n

The Frei Otto’s most representative works are the Pavilion of West Germany for the World Exhibition of 1967 celebrated in Montreal and the cover of the Olympic stadium of the Olympian Park of Munich, realized in 1972. With a great respect towards the humanity and the nature, Frei Otto’s architectural objects shine for his light, simplicity and spirituality.<\/p>\n

Christine Otto Kanstinger (Berlin, 1961) studied architecture in the University of Stuttgart, where his father founded the Institute of Light Structures (1964) and one incorporated Frei Otto Atelier in 1983. Of his interventions, the Diplomatic Club, Riydah (1985) stand out, the Pavilions of Venezuela and Japan for Hannover’s Exhibition 2000, as well as the celebrated \u00d6koh\u00e4user (‘ You Marry Echo ‘) in Berlin (1992-1990), a project of ecological and adaptable housings to every resident.
