[IV] | Cristina Garc\u00eda-Rosales[:]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[:es]https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/brasilia-una-gran-maquina-para-habitar-o-una-utopia-hecha-de-realidad-iii-cristina-garcia-rosales\/<\/p>\n<p><strong>El Plan Piloto.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">No es f\u00e1cil comprender Brasilia sin la ayuda de un plano que nos oriente. Su extensi\u00f3n es enorme (5.814 Km2) y los ojos se pierden en el horizonte de la altiplanicie con algunas onduladas y suaves colinas. La cuidada vegetaci\u00f3n en un territorio antes \u00e1rido y seco, el agua del gran lago artificial Parano\u00e1 (de 65 km2) y la arquitectura formalmente bella y simpl\u00edsima, obra del arquitecto Niemeyer, son los \u00fanicos obst\u00e1culos que hacen detener la mirada al dirigirla hacia el infinito. Por eso es importante conseguir un mapa de esta extensa ciudad para que, una vez en nuestro poder, seamos capaces de comprender la idea que Lucio Costa expuso al defender su proyecto.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_20992\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-20992\" style=\"width: 625px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/Plan-piloto-Lucio-Costa_jpg.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-20992\" title=\"Plan-piloto, Lucio Costa_jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/Plan-piloto-Lucio-Costa_jpg.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"625\" height=\"482\" srcset=\"https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/Plan-piloto-Lucio-Costa_jpg.jpg 450w, https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/Plan-piloto-Lucio-Costa_jpg-300x231.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 625px) 100vw, 625px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-20992\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><span style=\"color: #888888;\">Plan Piloto de Lucio Costa<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201cLa ciudad se debe planear para el trabajo ordenado y eficiente, pero al mismo tiempo ha de ser vital y agradable, as\u00ed como conveniente para el desarrollo intelectual\u201d. <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201cEl plan ha nacido del gesto inicial, con el que cualquiera localiza un lugar y toma posesi\u00f3n de \u00e9l: dos ejes que se cortan en \u00e1ngulo recto formando una cruz\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Es decir, la tan extendida creencia de que el plano de Brasilia se cre\u00f3 inspir\u00e1ndose en la silueta de un avi\u00f3n, no es cierta. Una simple apropiaci\u00f3n del terreno por medio de dos ejes, uno de Norte a Sur, y el otro de Este a Oeste, fue el \u00a0sencillo gesto de la mano experta que dibuja un plano para ordenar un territorio. Esta idea fue adapt\u00e1ndose a la topograf\u00eda del terreno. Uno de los ejes se hizo curvo y de ah\u00ed que la ciudad se pueda asemejar a la forma de un aeroplano. A esta idea inicial se sumaron otras que Lucio Costa explica en su memoria y que intentar\u00e9 resumir, partiendo de \u00a0ella, de la realidad actual y de sus transformaciones a lo largo de los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_20994\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-20994\" style=\"width: 625px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/Brasilia-vista-aerea.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-20994\" title=\"Brasilia-vista-aerea\" src=\"http:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/Brasilia-vista-aerea.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"625\" height=\"472\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-20994\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><span style=\"color: #888888;\">Vista area de Brasilia<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>El eje Norte-Sur, eje largo o eje principal <\/strong>tiene 20 km. de longitud y 350 m. de anchura. Lo forma una autopista de seis carriles en cada direcci\u00f3n (\u00a1!) que cruza la ciudad, proviene del espacio exterior, se une al coraz\u00f3n de la urbe -cruce de los dos ejes- y sirve de v\u00eda de comunicaci\u00f3n principal. En realidad, Brasilia se ha dise\u00f1ado para el autom\u00f3vil, lo que hace casi imposible su recorrido a pie debido a sus grandes distancias y a su gigantesca escala.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Esto, unido a un transporte p\u00fablico escaso, supone un grave problema para la vida cotidiana de los ciudadanos e influye en su convivencia. De los seis carriles de la autopista principal, dos de ellos son para circulaci\u00f3n urbana, los otros dos para circulaci\u00f3n r\u00e1pida y el \u00faltimo para veh\u00edculos pesados. En ese sentido, as\u00ed como en otros muchos, Brasilia se anticip\u00f3 al futuro. Aunque no est\u00e1 claro que el futuro del pasado sea el presente de hoy.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_20998\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-20998\" style=\"width: 625px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/Eje-Principal-Brasilia.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-20998\" title=\"Eje Principal Brasilia\" src=\"https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/Eje-Principal-Brasilia.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"625\" height=\"393\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-20998\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><span style=\"color: #888888;\">Eje Principal Brasilia<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En este eje principal se sit\u00faan las zonas residenciales separadas de la autopista por frondosas l\u00edneas de arbolado. En los cruces secundarios con las v\u00edas de penetraci\u00f3n, -t\u00faneles que por cierto se han quedado estrechos y en los que hay m\u00faltiples atascos de entrada a los condominios- \u00a0se ubican los equipamientos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Las viviendas son grandes \u201c<strong>superbloques<\/strong>\u201d rectangulares, construidos sobre pilotes e inspirados en la unidad habitacional de Le Corbusier. Enclavados entre zonas verdes, con zonas de aparcamientos, cada uno de ellos puede albergar a unas 3.000 personas. En total hay ciento veinte \u201csuperbloques\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cada bloque tiene seis alturas, distancia pensada para que las madres puedan llamar a sus hijos que juegan abajo en \u00e1reas ajardinadas o bajo los soportales, resguardados de las inclemencias del tiempo. Una buena idea para un buen habitar de las familias.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Las <strong>\u201csupercuadras\u201d<\/strong> o unidades residenciales tienen de ocho a once \u201csuperbloques\u201d. Una <strong>unidad vecinal o condominio<\/strong> la forman cuatro \u201csupercuadras\u201d as\u00ed como sus servicios complementarios, situados a un nivel superior, como son la escuela primaria y la guarder\u00eda, el ambulatorio, comercios, una capilla y un club social recreativo. Equipamientos de primera necesidad situados cerca de las viviendas para propiciar actividades \u00a0vecinales.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Las zonas ajardinadas est\u00e1n dise\u00f1adas con variaci\u00f3n, belleza y profusi\u00f3n de arbolado tropical, cl\u00e1sico de un clima caluroso aunque benigno, propio del ecosistema al que pertenece.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_20995\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-20995\" style=\"width: 625px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/Supermanzanas-Brasilia.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-20995\" title=\"Supermanzanas Brasilia\" src=\"http:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/Supermanzanas-Brasilia.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"625\" height=\"414\" srcset=\"https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/Supermanzanas-Brasilia.jpg 450w, https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/Supermanzanas-Brasilia-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/Supermanzanas-Brasilia-145x95.jpg 145w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 625px) 100vw, 625px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-20995\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><span style=\"color: #888888;\">Supercuadras en Brasilia<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">No ocurre lo mismo con las fachadas de los bloques, id\u00e9nticas estil\u00edsticamente, que otorgan excesiva monoton\u00eda al conjunto, lo que tiene una dif\u00edcil soluci\u00f3n. Aunque los residentes utilizan los marcos de hormig\u00f3n de sus apartamentos de distinta manera, almacenando bicicletas u otros enseres, afirm\u00e1ndose -a trav\u00e9s de ello- una cierta individualidad, uno no deja de preguntarse porque Niemeyer no dio cabida a otros arquitectos en el dise\u00f1o de los bloques. O al menos de sus fachadas. Tampoco se ha tenido en cuenta su orientaci\u00f3n. Bloques id\u00e9nticos se orientan arbitrariamente dando su frente al sol o situ\u00e1ndose a espaldas de \u00e9l.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pero el aspecto m\u00e1s interesante de las viviendas, bajo mi punto de vista, fue su objetivo igualitario, es decir que se dise\u00f1aron para que personas de diferentes ingresos vivieran juntas y se relacionaran entre s\u00ed, sin sentido de clase. Esto se intent\u00f3 a trav\u00e9s de la creaci\u00f3n de unidades residenciales b\u00e1sicas, id\u00e9nticas entre s\u00ed, formadas por apartamentos situados en bloques id\u00e9nticos. Con la misma fachada, como ya se ha dicho, la misma altura, todos construidos sobre pilotes, todos con el mismo material, todos con garaje. Kubitschek deseaba que la ciudad alojara a una sociedad abierta y sin distinciones sociales. Banqueros y diputados federales vivir\u00edan a lado de choferes y empleados del Congreso. Pero esta finalidad, creo yo, no tiene nada que ver con la uniformidad y la monoton\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La unidad de clase no se consigui\u00f3 en la pr\u00e1ctica. En primer lugar, porque la poblaci\u00f3n aument\u00f3 considerablemente y de una previsi\u00f3n inicial de 600.000 habitantes se lleg\u00f3 a los actuales 2.500.000 que se distribuyen, en parte, en \u00e1reas marginales, focos de miseria, favelismo y pobreza. Muchos suburbios se extendieron hasta una distancia de 40 km. del centro. Adem\u00e1s los campesinos acudieron a millares, una vez que se inaugur\u00f3 la ciudad, en busca de una vida mejor y no cab\u00edan en los \u201csuperbloques\u201d, destinados a la poblaci\u00f3n original. Muchos de los obreros de la construcci\u00f3n -los \u201ccandangos\u201d- que hab\u00edan convivido de igual a igual con arquitectos y funcionarios compartiendo comidas y entusiasmo, tambi\u00e9n se quisieron quedar, pero tuvieron que conformarse con los barracones de madera donde hab\u00edan vivido durante los a\u00f1os que dur\u00f3 el trabajo. M\u00e1s tarde estas viviendas se consideraron construcciones ilegales. Al cabo de un tiempo se consolidaron y dotaron de infraestructuras urbanas. Al conjunto se le llam\u00f3 Ciudad Libre. Otros fueron desplazados al CEI (Centro de Erradicaci\u00f3n del Emigrante). De all\u00ed surgi\u00f3 el suburbio Ceilandia, uno de los m\u00e1s poblados, situado a 24 km. de Brasilia y que actualmente consta de 350.000 habitantes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En definitiva, Brasilia se ha convertido en otra ciudad estratificada, socialmente hablando. Los bloques primigenios s\u00f3lo han podido albergar a los trabajadores del gobierno, funcionarios, pol\u00edticos o militares. Es decir, a los primeros pobladores que adem\u00e1s se reunieron entre s\u00ed con criterios de clase, y a los que el Gobierno atrajo a la ciudad nueva con excelentes sueldos y condiciones de vida. El resto se ubic\u00f3 en ciudades sat\u00e9lites, algunas de ellas para funcionarios de alto nivel adquisitivo, a las orillas del lago artificial Parano\u00e1, lo que no se contemplaba tampoco en el plan original o \u00a0\u201cPlan Piloto\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Seg\u00fan expon\u00eda Lucio Costa en su memoria inicial, se trataba de<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201c<em>preservar su belleza intacta, ajardin\u00e1ndola con maderas y campos de una manera natural y r\u00fastica, de modo que la poblaci\u00f3n urbana pudiera gozar de sus placeres simples\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"attachment_20996\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-20996\" style=\"width: 625px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/J.K-y-Lucio-Costa.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-20996\" title=\"J.K y Lucio Costa\" src=\"http:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/J.K-y-Lucio-Costa.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"625\" height=\"629\" srcset=\"https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/J.K-y-Lucio-Costa.jpg 398w, https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/J.K-y-Lucio-Costa-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/J.K-y-Lucio-Costa-298x300.jpg 298w, https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/J.K-y-Lucio-Costa-120x120.jpg 120w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 625px) 100vw, 625px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-20996\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><span style=\"color: #888888;\">Juscelino Kubitschek y Lucio Costa<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Vayamos ahora al<strong> eje Este-Oeste, eje corto<\/strong> <strong>o C\u00edvico<\/strong> de 5 Km. de longitud, tambi\u00e9n llamado <strong>Eje Monumental<\/strong>. Es el m\u00e1s atractivo para el visitante, aunque en realidad toda la ciudad es de una gran belleza formal. Ha sido en este eje donde Niemeyer ha conseguido plasmar una arquitectura que podr\u00edamos llamar escult\u00f3rica, a base de elementos sobrios, con una composici\u00f3n minimalista atrevida y de curvas imposibles. \u00c9l mismo lo design\u00f3 como<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201c<em>un espacio para la imaginaci\u00f3n\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El cruce de los dos ejes se realiza en tres niveles diferentes con la idea de agilizar la circulaci\u00f3n y evitar sem\u00e1foros. Realmente los tres niveles se hacen excesivos. Pero, aunque parezca incre\u00edble, no est\u00e1n infrautilizados, ya que el tr\u00e1fico es muy abundante.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Desde el nivel superior del cruce, la visi\u00f3n de la perspectiva del Eje Monumental es impresionante, extendi\u00e9ndose casi hasta el infinito a ambos lados de la autopista. Se puede considerar que obedece a un principio barroco m\u00e1s que a uno del Movimiento Moderno. Es capaz de crear una atm\u00f3sfera surrealista o m\u00e1gica que llega a hechizar los sentidos, aunque tambi\u00e9n se percibe una negaci\u00f3n de la escala humana o, para entendernos mejor, una falta de humanidad. Produce, dentro de su gran belleza, una sensaci\u00f3n de exceso monumental; es como si uno sintiera que le faltaran las fuerzas necesarias para caminar todo ese recorrido.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>En la parte oriental<\/strong> del eje a partir del cruce, se encuentran los edificios m\u00e1s representativos del nuevo centro pol\u00edtico: El Palacio del Gobierno tambi\u00e9n llamado el <strong>Palacio de Planalto<\/strong>, sede del poder ejecutivo; <strong>el Palacio de Justicia, <\/strong>sede del poder legislativo y <strong>el Congreso Nacional<\/strong>, sede de la Asamblea y del Senado. Estos tres edificios se re\u00fanen en torno a \u00a0<strong>la gran Plaza de los Tres Poderes<\/strong>, en forma de tri\u00e1ngulo equil\u00e1tero, llamada por Lucio Costa <em>\u201cel Versalles del pueblo<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Como escribe Francisco Bullrich,<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201clos edificios cubiertos por la c\u00fapula del Senado y la Asamblea desde lejos y a la luz del crep\u00fasculo, parecen platillos volantes flotando sobre una plataforma, a punto de aterrizar o despegar.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Entre ellos, el edificio del <strong>Secretariado, <\/strong>situado tambi\u00e9n en el eje de la composici\u00f3n, surge de la tierra como un proyectil. Las otras edificaciones se erigen solas o crean entre ellas l\u00edneas de fuerza y de tensi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Entre el Palacio del Panalto y el Tribunal Supremo hay 400 m. Y esta parte oriental del eje Monumental tiene 2 km. Esto nos puede dar una idea de la escala de la que estamos hablando, de las distancias que es necesario recorrer no solo por los visitantes si no por los propios funcionarios del Gobierno, para pasar de un edificio a otro en medio de un sol de justicia. Como dijimos al principio, Brasilia tiene luces y sombras.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Continuando en la parte oriental del cruce de los dos ejes, aparece una amplia explanada a un nivel superior, <strong>la Avenida Ministerial,<\/strong> donde todos los edificios tienen la misma forma y orientaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_20997\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-20997\" style=\"width: 625px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/Brasilia_Ministerios.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-20997\" title=\"Brasilia_Ministerios\" src=\"http:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/Brasilia_Ministerios.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"625\" height=\"356\" srcset=\"https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/Brasilia_Ministerios.jpg 590w, https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/Brasilia_Ministerios-300x171.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 625px) 100vw, 625px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-20997\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><span style=\"color: #888888;\">Ministerios en Brasilia<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En esta zona se encuentra tambi\u00e9n el edificio de <strong>Correos<\/strong>, amplias zonas ajardinadas de c\u00e9sped y vegetaci\u00f3n, varios <strong>Ministerios<\/strong> y <strong>las Agencias Aut\u00f3nomas<\/strong>. Los Ministerios de Asuntos Exteriores y de Justicia ocupan las esquinas, los Ministerios Militares, un cuadrado independiente y los restantes \u00a0forman una secuencia, cada uno con un \u00e1rea de estacionamiento privada. El \u00faltimo de la l\u00ednea es el Ministerio de\u00a0 Educaci\u00f3n. La <strong>Catedral<\/strong> se ha ubicado al final del eje con intenci\u00f3n de realzarla. Tambi\u00e9n se complementa este eje con el <strong>Teatro Nacional<\/strong> y otros edificios culturales.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>La parte occidental<\/strong> del Eje Monumental tiene en su centro la <strong>Torre de Radio y Televisi\u00f3n <\/strong>y termina con <strong>la Plaza Municipal.<\/strong> De forma sim\u00e9trica, en los m\u00e1rgenes, se ubican el centro recreativo, los Hoteles y el \u00e1rea econ\u00f3mica y de negocios de la ciudad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En el Eje Monumental de Brasilia, Niemeyer consigue una gran armon\u00eda de conjunto, gracias a\u00a0 las formas sim\u00e9tricas y estudiadas perspectivas, forzando los efectos como sugiere el historiador Ben\u00e9volo,<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201c<em>hasta el punto de deformar su significado, present\u00e1ndolos aislados del contexto habitual como si se tratara de objetos encontrados. Sus arquitecturas adquieren, as\u00ed, una entonaci\u00f3n surrealista (\u2026) y algunos detalles \u2013por ejemplo los elementos de m\u00e1rmol pulidos y torneados como si fueran huesos de animales- presentan una innegable semejanza con ciertas im\u00e1genes de pintores surrealistas, desde Dal\u00ed a sus contempor\u00e1neos brasile\u00f1os, como O. de Andrade Filho y A. A s\u00faa extensi\u00f3n \u00e9 enorme (5.814 Km2) e os ollos p\u00e9rdense no horizonte da altiplanicie con algunhas onduladas e suaves outeiros. A coidada vegetaci\u00f3n nun territorio antes \u00e1rido e seco, a auga do gran lago artificial Parano\u00e1 (de 65 km2) e a arquitectura formalmente bela e simpl\u00edsima, obra do arquitecto Niemeyer, son os \u00fanicos obst\u00e1culos que fan deter a mirada ao dirixila cara ao infinito. Unha simple apropiaci\u00f3n do terreo por medio de dous eixes, un de Norte a Sur, e o outro de Leste a Oeste, foi o sinxelo\u00a0 xesto da man experta que debuxa un plano para ordenar un territorio. Esta idea foi adapt\u00e1ndose \u00e1 topograf\u00eda do terreo. Un dos eixes f\u00edxose curvo e por iso \u00e9 polo que a cidade p\u00f3idase asemellar \u00e1 forma dun aeroplano. F\u00f3rmao unha autopista de seis carriles en cada direcci\u00f3n (\u00a1!) que cruza a cidade, prov\u00e9n do espazo exterior, \u00fanese ao coraz\u00f3n da urbe -cruzamento dos dous eixes- e serve de v\u00eda de comunicaci\u00f3n principal. En realidade, Brasilia dese\u00f1ouse para o autom\u00f3bil, o que fai case imposible o seu percorrido a p\u00e9 debido \u00e1s s\u00faas grandes distancias e \u00e1 s\u00faa xigantesca escala.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Isto, unido a un transporte p\u00fablico escaso, sup\u00f3n un grave problema para a vida coti\u00e1 dos cidad\u00e1ns e infl\u00fae na s\u00faa convivencia. Dos seis carriles da autopista principal, d\u00faas deles son para circulaci\u00f3n urbana, os outros dous para circulaci\u00f3n r\u00e1pida e o \u00faltimo para veh\u00edculos pesados. Nese sentido, as\u00ed como noutros moitos, Brasilia anticipouse ao futuro. Nos cruzamentos secundarios coas v\u00edas de penetraci\u00f3n, -t\u00faneles que por certo qued\u00e1ronse estreitos e nos que hai m\u00faltiples atascos de entrada aos condominios-\u00a0 sit\u00faanse os equipamientos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As vivendas son grandes \u201csuperbloques\u201d rectangulares, constru\u00eddos sobre pilotes e inspirados na unidade habitacional de Lle Corbusier. Situado entre zonas verdes, con zonas de aparcamientos, cada un deles pode albergar a unhas 3.000 persoas. En total hai cento vinte \u201csuperbloques\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cada bloque ten seis alturas, distancia pensada para que as nais poidan chamar aos seus fillos que xogan abaixo en \u00e1reas ajardinadas ou baixo os soportais, resgardados das inclemencias do tempo. Unha boa idea para un bo habitar das familias.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As \u201csupercuadras\u201d ou unidades residenciales te\u00f1en de oito a once \u201csuperbloques\u201d. Unha unidade vecinal ou condominio f\u00f3rmana catro \u201csupercuadras\u201d as\u00ed como os seus servizos complementarios, situados a un nivel superior, como son a escola primaria e a guarder\u00eda, o ambulatorio, comercios, unha capela e un club social recreativo. Equipamientos de primeira necesidade situados preto das vivendas para propiciar actividades\u00a0 vecinales.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As zonas ajardinadas est\u00e1n dese\u00f1adas con variaci\u00f3n, beleza e profusi\u00f3n de arbolado tropical, cl\u00e1sico dun clima caluroso a\u00ednda que benigno, propio do ecosistema ao que pertence.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_20995\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-20995\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/Supermanzanas-Brasilia.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-20995\" title=\"Supermanzanas Brasilia\" src=\"http:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/Supermanzanas-Brasilia.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" srcset=\"https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/Supermanzanas-Brasilia.jpg 450w, https:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/Supermanzanas-Brasilia-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-20995\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><span style=\"color: #888888;\">Supercuadras en Brasilia<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Non ocorre o mesmo coas fachadas dos bloques, id\u00e9nticas estil\u00edsticamente, que outorgan excesiva monoton\u00eda ao conxunto, o que ten unha dif\u00edcil soluci\u00f3n. A\u00ednda que os residentes utilizan os marcos de hormig\u00f3n dos seus apartamentos de distinto xeito, almacenando bicicletas ou outros enseres, afirm\u00e1ndose -a trav\u00e9s diso- una certa individualidade, un non deixa de preguntarse porque Niemeyer non deu cabida a outros arquitectos no dese\u00f1o dos bloques. Ou polo menos das s\u00faas fachadas. Tampouco se ha ter en conta a s\u00faa orientaci\u00f3n. Bloques id\u00e9nticos ori\u00e9ntanse arbitrariamente dando a s\u00faa fronte ao sol ou situ\u00e1ndose \u00e1s costas del.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pero o aspecto m\u00e1is interesante das vivendas, baixo o meu punto de vista, foi o seu obxectivo igualitario, \u00e9 dicir que se dese\u00f1aron para que persoas de diferentes ingresos vivisen xuntas e relacion\u00e1sense entre si, sen sentido de clase. Isto intentouse a trav\u00e9s da creaci\u00f3n de unidades residenciales b\u00e1sicas, id\u00e9nticas entre si, formadas por apartamentos situados en bloques id\u00e9nticos. Coa mesma fachada, como xa se dixo, a mesma altura, todos constru\u00eddos sobre pilotes, todos co mesmo material, todos con garaje. Kubitschek desexaba que a cidade aloxase a unha sociedade aberta e sen distinci\u00f3ns sociais. Banqueiros e deputados federales vivir\u00edan a lado de choferes e empregados do Congreso. Pero esta finalidade, creo eu, non ten nada que ver coa uniformidade e a monoton\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A unidade de clase non se conseguiu na pr\u00e1ctica. En primeiro lugar, porque a poboaci\u00f3n aumentou considerablemente e dunha previsi\u00f3n inicial de 600.000 habitantes chegouse aos actuais 2.500.000 que se distrib\u00faen, en parte, en \u00e1reas marginales, focos de miseria, favelismo e pobreza. Moitos suburbios estend\u00e9ronse ata unha distancia de 40 km. do centro. Ademais os campesi\u00f1os acudiron a milleiros, unha vez que se inaugurou a cidade, en busca dunha vida mellor e non cab\u00edan nos \u201csuperbloques\u201d, destinados \u00e1 poboaci\u00f3n orixinal. Moitos dos obreiros da construci\u00f3n -os \u201ccandangos\u201d- que conviviran de igual a igual con arquitectos e funcionarios compartindo comidas e entusiasmo, tam\u00e9n se quixeron quedar, pero tiveron que conformarse cos barrac\u00f3ns de madeira onde viviran durante os anos que durou o traballo. M\u00e1is tarde estas vivendas consider\u00e1ronse construci\u00f3ns ilegais. Ao cabo dun tempo consolid\u00e1ronse e dotaron de infraestructuras urbanas. Ao conxunto cham\u00f3uselle Cidade Libre. Outros foron desprazados ao CEI (Centro de Erradicaci\u00f3n do Emigrante). De al\u00ed xurdiu o suburbio Ceilandia, un dos m\u00e1is poboados, situado a 24 km. de Brasilia e que actualmente consta de 350.000 habitantes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En definitiva, Brasilia converteuse noutra cidade estratificada, socialmente falando. Os bloques primigenios s\u00f3 puideron albergar aos traballadores do goberno, funcionarios, pol\u00edticos ou militares. \u00c9 dicir, aos primeiros pobladores que ademais se reuniron entre si con criterios de clase, e aos que o Goberno atraeu \u00e1 cidade nova con excelentes soldos e condici\u00f3ns de vida. El mesmo designouno como<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cun espazo para a imaxinaci\u00f3n\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">O cruzamento dos dous eixes real\u00edzase en tres niveles diferentes coa idea de agilizar a circulaci\u00f3n e evitar sem\u00e1foros. Realmente os tres niveles fanse excesivos. Pero, a\u00ednda que pareza incrible, non est\u00e1n infrautilizados, xa que o tr\u00e1fico \u00e9 moi abundante.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Desde o nivel superior do cruzamento, a visi\u00f3n da perspectiva do Eixe Monumental \u00e9 impresionante, estend\u00e9ndose case ata o infinito a ambos os dous lados da autopista. P\u00f3dese considerar que obedece a un principio barroco m\u00e1is que a un do Movemento Moderno. \u00c9 capaz de crear unha atmosfera surrealista ou m\u00e1xica que chega a enfeitizar os sentidos, a\u00ednda que tam\u00e9n se percibe unha negaci\u00f3n da escala humana ou, para entendernos mellor, unha falta de humanidade. Produce, dentro da s\u00faa gran beleza, unha sensaci\u00f3n de exceso monumental; \u00e9 coma se un sentise que lle faltasen as forzas necesarias para cami\u00f1ar todo ese percorrido.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Na parte oriental do eixe a partir do cruzamento, at\u00f3panse os edificios m\u00e1is representativos do novo centro pol\u00edtico: O Palacio do Goberno tam\u00e9n chamado o Palacio de Planalto, s\u00e9 do poder executivo; o Palacio de Xustiza, s\u00e9 do poder legislativo e o Congreso Nacional, s\u00e9 da Asemblea e do Senado. Estes tres edificios re\u00fanense en torno \u00e1\u00a0 gran Praza dos Tres Poderes, en forma de tri\u00e1ngulo equil\u00e1tero, chamada por Lucio Costa \u201co Versalles do pobo\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Como escribe Francisco Bullrich,<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201cos edificios cubertos pola c\u00fapula do Senado e a Asemblea de lonxe e \u00e1 luz do crep\u00fasculo, parecen platillos volantes flotando sobre unha plataforma, a piques de aterrar ou despegar.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Entre eles, o edificio do Secretariado, situado tam\u00e9n no eixe da composici\u00f3n, xorde da terra como un proxectil. As outras edificaciones se erigen soas ou crean entre elas li\u00f1as de forza e de tensi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Entre o Palacio do Panalto e o Tribunal Supremo hai 400 m. E esta parte oriental do eixe Monumental ten 2 km. Isto p\u00f3denos dar unha idea da escala da que estamos falando, das distancias que \u00e9 necesario percorrer non s\u00f3 polos visitantes si non polos propios funcionarios do Goberno, para pasar dun edificio a outro no medio dun sol de xustiza. It has been in this axis where Niemeyer has managed to form an architecture that we might call sculptural, based on sober elements, with a minimalist bold composition and of impossible curves. He itself designated it as<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u00aba space for the imagination \u00ab<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The crossing of both axes is realized in three different levels by the idea of improving the traffic and of avoiding semaphores. Really three levels become excessive. But, though it seems to be incredible, they are not infrautilizados, since the traffic is very abundant.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From the top level of the crossing, the vision of the perspective of the Monumental Axis is impressive, spreading almost up to the infinite on both sides of the highway. The last one of the line is the Department of Education. The Cathedral has been located at the end of the axis by intention of heightening it. Also this axis complements itself with the <strong>National Theatre <\/strong>and other cultural buildings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The western part<\/strong> of the Monumental Axis has in his center the <strong>Tower of Radio and Television<\/strong> and ends with the <strong>Municipal Plaza<\/strong>. Of symmetrical form, in the margins, there are located the recreative center, the Hotels and the economic and business area of the city.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the Monumental Axis of Brasilia, Niemeyer obtains a great harmony of set, thanks to the symmetrical forms and studied perspectives, forcing the effects as suggests the historian Ben\u00e9volo,<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u00abup to the point of deforming his meaning, presenting them isolated of the habitual context as if it was a question of opposing objects.
