Cada ejemplar est\u00e1 numerado y firmado por su autor, convirti\u00e9ndose en un objeto literario \u00fanico. <em>Cartas Shanghainesas <\/em>es la traslaci\u00f3n a formato libro de un blog escrito durante una visita-deriva a trav\u00e9s de China durante el verano de 2010 de Jos\u00e9 P\u00e9rez de Lama. La edici\u00f3n ha intentando mantener la espontaneidad y el car\u00e1cter propio de un blog redactado como un cuaderno de viaje, en el que P\u00e9rez de Lama intenta dar cuenta, en primera persona, de lo que est\u00e1 ocurriendo en algunas de las principales regiones metropolitanas, -Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guanzhou, Chongqing- de la que muchos coinciden en afirmar ser\u00e1 la principal potencia global del siglo XXI. Actualmente es subdirector de la Escuela T\u00e9cnica Superior de Arquitectura de esta universidad. Su trabajo habitual, desarrollado hasta la fecha en colaboraci\u00f3n con el grupo hackitectura.net, se centra en las relaciones entre tecnolog\u00edas, metr\u00f3polis y pol\u00edtica.
