El arquitecto c\u00e1ntabro falleci\u00f3 en Madrid el 26 de febrero a los 92 a\u00f1os. Nacido en Santander, el 4 de octubre de 1912, Francisco de As\u00eds Cabrero Torres-Quevedo pertenec\u00eda a la primera generaci\u00f3n de arquitectos de la posguerra. Estudi\u00f3 a fondo la arquitectura racionalista europea de los a\u00f1os treinta, sobre todo la italiana. Su estancia en Italia, en 1941 y 1942, fue decisiva, no s\u00f3lo en su condici\u00f3n de arquitecto sino tambi\u00e9n por su afici\u00f3n a la pintura. En Mil\u00e1n visit\u00f3 el estudio del pintor Giorgio de Chirico, y, en Roma conoci\u00f3 al arquitecto Adalberto Libera y al responsable de la Oficina T\u00e9cnica de la ciudad, Gio Ponti.
