Aunque, al menos en determinada parte del mundo, los avances m\u00e9dicos han permitido aumentar su esperanza y calidad de vida, parece que estos progresos no han tenido su reflejo en una disminuci\u00f3n del rechazo social. Las acciones sociales y colectivas pueden vencer falsas percepciones y costumbres surgidas de la ignorancia y los prejuicios. Y el arte puede contribuir a cambiar este tipo de visiones y actitudes. En YOU ARE NOT ALONE 18 artistas contempor\u00e1neos de todo el mundo contribuyen a la lucha contra la estigmatizaci\u00f3n con una mirada innovadora sobre la causa, las consecuencias y el contexto actual del VIH\/sida, as\u00ed como sobre las formas para combatirlo. Las obras presentan la visi\u00f3n sobre el sida desde la perspectiva de diferentes pa\u00edses en varios continentes que sufren la enfermedad con mayor o menor intensidad. Estas visiones ayudan a concienciar al publico sobre la necesidad de intercambio de conocimiento y experiencias que permitan combatir la enfermedad y los prejuicios generosamente y sin miedo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La Fundaci\u00f3n ArtAids ha producido obras espec\u00edficamente pensadas para la exposici\u00f3n, de artistas internacionalmente reconocidos y que no abordan la tem\u00e1tica del sida de modo habitual: Deimantas Narkevi\u010dius (Lituania), Latifa Echakhch (Marruecos), Danh Vo (Dinamarca\/Vietnam), Christodoulos Panayiotou (Chipre), Lorena Zilleruelo (Chile), Lucy + Jorge Orta (Reino Unido \/Argentina) y Elmgreen&amp; Dragset (Dinamarca\/Noruega). Estas obras se presentan junto a una selecci\u00f3n de piezas recientemente incorporadas a la colecci\u00f3n ArtAids. Se trata de los trabajos de David Goldblatt (Sud\u00e1frica), Otto Berchem (Estados Unidos), Sutee Kunavichayanont (Tailandia), Araya Rasdjarmrearnsook (Tailandia), y Juul Hondius (Holanda). Por \u00faltimo, la exposici\u00f3n presenta una instalaci\u00f3n de Matthew Darbyshire (Reino Unido), concebida como un espacio de reflexi\u00f3n sobre el sida. La sala recuerda el tratamiento que se dio al tema durante los a\u00f1os ochenta y noventa por parte de artistas como Group Material y de las campa\u00f1as publicitarias de lucha contra el VIH. Como introducci\u00f3n, se expone la visi\u00f3n sobre la enfermedad del artista espa\u00f1ol Pepe Espali\u00fa, fallecido en 1993 a causa del sida. Con este proyecto, la Fundaci\u00f3n ArtAids, la Fundaci\u00f3 Joan Mir\u00f3 y el MARCO quieren denunciar y poner de manifiesto los prejuicios hacia el sida que contribuyen al aislamiento de los enfermos, compartiendo esta visi\u00f3n con el p\u00fablico para recordar que \u2018no est\u00e1s solo\u2019. En You Are Not Alone 18 artistas contempor\u00e1neos de todo o mundo contrib\u00faen \u00e1 loita contra a estigmatizaci\u00f3n cunha mirada innovadora sobre a causa, as consecuencias e o contexto actual da sida as\u00ed como sobre as formas para combatela. As obras da mostra presentan a visi\u00f3n sobre a sida dende a perspectiva de diferentes pa\u00edses en varios continentes que sofren a enfermidade con maior ou menor intensidade. Estas visi\u00f3ns contribuir\u00e1n a concienciar ao espectador sobre a necesidade de intercambio de co\u00f1ecemento e experiencias que permitan combater a enfermidade e os prexu\u00edzos xenerosamente e sen medo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A Fundaci\u00f3n ArtAids produciu obras especificamente pensadas para a exposici\u00f3n de nove artistas reco\u00f1ecidos a nivel internacional e que non adoitan abordar a tem\u00e1tica da sida. Os artistas seleccionados son: Deimantas Narkevi\u010dius (Lituania), Latifa Echakhch (Marrocos), Danh Vo (Dinamarca\/Vietnam), Christodoulos Panayiotou (Chipre), Lorena Zilleruelo (Chile), Lucy + Jorge Orta (Reino Unido e Arxentina) e Elmgreen &amp; Dragset (Dinamarca e Noruega). Estas obras pres\u00e9ntanse cunha selecci\u00f3n de pezas recentemente incorporadas \u00e1 colecci\u00f3n ArtAids de David Goldblatt (Sud\u00e1frica), Otto Berchem (Estados Unidos), Sutee Kunavichayanont (Tailandia), Araya Rasdjarmrearnsook (Tailandia) e Juul Hondius (Holanda). Though, at least in certain part of the world, the medical advances have allowed to increase his hope and quality of life, it seems that these progresses have not had his reflection in a decrease of the social rejection. The social and collective actions can conquer false perceptions and customs arisen from the ignorance and the prejudices. And the art can help to change this type of visions and attitudes.\u00a0 In YOU ARE NOT ALONE 18 contemporary artists of the whole world contribute to the fight against the estigmatizaci\u00f3n with an innovative look on the reason, the consequences and the current context of the HIV \/ AIDS, as well as on the forms to attack it. The works present the vision on the AIDS from the perspective of different countries in several continents that suffer the disease with major or minor intensity. These visions help to arouse the public on the need of exchange of knowledge and experiences that allow to attack the disease and the prejudices generously and without fear. The Foundation ArtAids has produced works specifically thought for the exhibition, of internationally recognized artists and that do not approach the subject matter of the AIDS of a habitual way: Deimantas Narkevi\u010dius (Lithuania), Latifa Echakhch (Morocco), Danh Vo (Denmark \/ Vietnam), Christodoulos Panayiotou (Cyprus), Lorraine Zilleruelo (Chile), Lucy + Jorge Orta (United Kingdom \/ Argentine) and Elmgreen and Dragset (Dinamarca\/Noruega). These works appear close to a selection of pieces recently incorporated into the collection ArtAids. There treats itself about David Goldblatt&#8217;s works (South Africa), Otto Berchem (The) (United States), Sutee Kunavichayanont (Thailand), Araya Rasdjarmrearnsook (Thailand), and Juul Hondius (Holland). Finally, the exhibition presents Matthew Darbyshire&#8217;s installation (United Kingdom), concebida as a space of reflection on the AIDS. The room remembers the treatment that was given to the topic during the eighties and nineties on the part of artists as Group Material and of the advertising campaigns of fight against the VIH. As introduction, the vision is exposed on the disease of the Spanish artist Pepe Espali\u00fa, deceased in 1993 because of the AIDS. With this project, the Foundation ArtAids, the Fundaci\u00f3 Joan Miro and the MARCO want to denounce and to reveal the prejudices towards the AIDS that they contribute to the isolation of the patients, sharing this vision with the public to remember that &#8216; you are not alone &#8216;.
