Warchavchik<\/strong> (Odesa, 2 de abril de 1896 \u2014 S\u00e3o Paulo, 27 de julio de 1972) fue uno de los principales nombres de la primera generaci\u00f3n de arquitectos del Movimiento Moderno de Brasil. Se trataba de una arquitecto de origen ruso, que lleg\u00f3 a Brasil en 1923, tras pasar por Italia, donde comenz\u00f3 sus estudios de arquitectura en Odesa. Era un gran admirador de la obra de Wright, conoci\u00e9ndolo en 1930 en una reuni\u00f3n que mantuvo con \u00e9l y con el brasile\u00f1o L\u00facio Costa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fue un arquitecto adherido al futurismo, sus dise\u00f1os se caracterizan por el dise\u00f1o cubista, siempre con la intenci\u00f3n de construir <em>\u00abm\u00e1quinas para vivir\u00bb<\/em>. Su arquitectura, de ejecuci\u00f3n racionalista y funcionalista, es orientada por la practicidad y econom\u00eda, por la reducci\u00f3n de los elementos decorativos a lo m\u00ednimo, por la subordinaci\u00f3n de la forma a la funci\u00f3n y por la defensa de la necesidad de la uni\u00f3n del artista y del t\u00e9cnico en la persona del arquitecto.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Desde 1927 hasta comienzos de la d\u00e9cada de 1930, Warchavchik proyecta una serie de casas modernas, <em>\u00abracionales, confortables, de pura utilidad, repletas de color, luz y alegr\u00eda\u00bb<\/em>, seg\u00fan \u00e9l suele definirlas. En la fachada principal se explicitan sus preocupaciones formales por fundir funcionalismo y cubismo arquitect\u00f3nicos. L\u00edneas y \u00e1ngulos rectos, ausencia de elementos decorativos y el intento de articulaci\u00f3n de los espacios interior y exterior confieren equilibrio y armon\u00eda al conjunto. En la casa de Max Graf, de la calle Melo Alves, S\u00e3o Paulo, 1928\/1929, sobresale el uso del hormig\u00f3n armado y la sustituci\u00f3n del balc\u00f3n por la marquesina. A s\u00faa arquitectura, de execuci\u00f3n racionalista e funcionalista, \u00e9 orientada pola practicidad e econom\u00eda, pola reduci\u00f3n dos elementos decorativos ao m\u00ednimo, pola subordinaci\u00f3n da forma \u00e1 funci\u00f3n e pola defensa da necesidade da uni\u00f3n do artista e do t\u00e9cnico na persoa do arquitecto.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Desde 1927 ata comezos da d\u00e9cada de 1930, Warchavchik proxecta unha serie de casas modernas, <em>\u00abracionais, confortables, de pura utilidade, repletas de cor, luz e alegr\u00eda\u00bb<\/em>, segundo el adoita definilas. Warchavchik<\/strong> (Odessa, on April 2, 1896 &#8211; S\u00e3o Paulo, on July 27, 1972) was one of the principal names of the first generation of architects of the Modern Movement of Brazil. There was treating himself about one architect of Russian origin, that it came to Brazil in 1923, after happening for Italy, where it began his studies of architecture in Odessa. He was a great admirer of Wright&#8217;s work, knowing it in 1930 in a meeting that it supported with him and with the Brazilian L\u00facio Costa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He was an architect adhered to the futurism, his designs are characterized by the design cubist, always with the intention of constructing <em>\u00bb machines to live \u00ab<\/em>. His architecture, of racionalist execution and funcionalista, is orientated by the practicidad and economy, by the reduction of the decorative elements to the minimal thing, by the subordination of the form to the function and by the defense of the need of the union of the artist and of the technician in the person of the architect.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From 1927 until beginning of the decade of 1930, Warchavchik projects a series of modern, houses <em>\u00abrational, comfortable, of pure usefulness, you fill completely of color, light and happiness\u00bb<\/em>, according to him it is in the habit of defining them. In the main face explicitan his formal worries for fusing funcionalismo and cubism architectural. Lines and right angles, absence of decorative elements and the attempt of interior and exterior joint of the spaces award balance and harmony to the set.In the house of Max Graf, of the street Melo Alves, S\u00e3o Paulo, 1928\/1929, stands out the use of the reinforced concrete and the substitution of the balcony for the marquee.
