El nombramiento de Costa, luego de la revoluci\u00f3n del 30 de Getulio Vargas, como director de la escuela de bellas artes, contribuy\u00f3 decisivamente a la aceptaci\u00f3n general de las ideas de la \u201carquitectura moderna\u201d.Otro punto notable est\u00e1 dado por el viaje en 1936 de Le Corbusier a Brasil, del cual deriv\u00f3 el proyecto para el ministerio de salud, elaborado por un grupo de j\u00f3venes arquitectos entre los que destacaban Oscar Niemeyer, Afonso Eduardo Reidy y Lucio Costa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Este segundo hecho es decisivo en la propagaci\u00f3n de los ideales modernos en Brasil, y Sudam\u00e9rica, (teniendo como antecedente el viaje a Buenos Aires realizado en 1929) y en cierta manera marca el comienzo de una nueva etapa en LC, reconocida a nivel mundial.
