Durante su intervenci\u00f3n en las jornadas que sobre la llegada de la Alta Velocidad a Ourense que organiza el concello, que vers\u00f3 sobre\u00a0 \u201cEstaciones intermodales, porta da cidade\u201d, recalc\u00f3 que la Estaci\u00f3n Central de Ourense tiene que ubicarse en \u201csu sitio\u201d, as\u00ed como \u201ccrearse su entorno, construirse su propia y singular monumentalidad, rodearse de plazas, de vac\u00edos a su alrededor\u201d, que considera factores imprescindibles para la ciudad. Pero Portela dijo estar convencido de que los m\u00e1s importantes, los m\u00e1s sociales son \u201clos espacios p\u00fablicos, que le confieren ese halo m\u00e1gico\u201d. Y sentenci\u00f3 que la estaci\u00f3n actual, la \u201cEmpalme\u201d , es, y a\u00fan lo ser\u00e1 m\u00e1s, \u201cmonumento, por su forma y tama\u00f1o, por su funci\u00f3n y por su significado\u201d, como as\u00ed lo valoraron los ourensanos, que de forma un\u00e1nime entienden que debe ser la futura estaci\u00f3n del AVE.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/veredes.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/2010-01-19_IMG_2010-01-19_23-07-09_our31.jpg\"><\/a><span style=\"color: #888888;\"> inaki osorio<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">De ah\u00ed que al termino de su intervenci\u00f3n fue de lo m\u00e1s expl\u00edcito al se\u00f1alar que \u201cles deseo mucha suerte -sobre el dise\u00f1o de estaci\u00f3n intermodal- ya que ser\u00e1 la imagen y la puerta de entrada del AVE a Galicia\u201d, y apostill\u00f3 que \u201ccomo pontevedr\u00e9s tengo tanto inter\u00e9s como ustedes en que todo salga bien\u201d, pero sin avanzar si finalmente su equipo optar\u00e1 a presentar su proyecto, como si hizo en otras ciudades de Espa\u00f1a. Experiencia La exposici\u00f3n te\u00f3rica que traslad\u00f3 C\u00e9sar Portela a los asistentes a las jornadas t\u00e9cnicas sobre el AVE, las complemento posteriormente con proyectos similares en diferentes ciudades del territorio nacional, y que conforma su experiencia en esta materia. As\u00ed, como autor de los dise\u00f1os, junto a su equipo t\u00e9cnico, de las estaciones del ferrocarril de C\u00e1diz, la Estaci\u00f3n Central de Valencia, la Estaci\u00f3n Intermodal del Prat de Llobregat (Barcelona-Aeropuerto), y la estaci\u00f3n de autobuses de C\u00f3rdoba, C\u00e9sar Portela aludi\u00f3 a que una estaci\u00f3n de ferrocarril es un \u201cedificio muy complejo tanto por su organizaci\u00f3n interior\u201d, debido a que tiene que acomodarse a un trazado ferroviario y a m\u00faltiples funciones, \u201ccomo por su inserci\u00f3n en la ciudad\u201d. Y reconoci\u00f3 ante el auditorio que tambi\u00e9n lo va a ser la nueva estaci\u00f3n de Ourense, la cual se asienta en un lugar, como es A Ponte, \u201crodeado de una peculiar y accidentada geograf\u00eda que determina el trazado ferroviario y los accesos que condicionan la soluci\u00f3n que se pueda adoptar\u201d. A lo que hizo referencia, al mostrar la soluci\u00f3n por la que se opt\u00f3 en C\u00e1diz, que permiti\u00f3 \u201cresolver un problema que ten\u00edan\u201d, y que le sirvi\u00f3 para comentar que se debe tener en cuenta los dos tipos de estaciones del AVE, las denominadas \u201ctermino\u201d, que es donde concluye el trazado de esa l\u00ednea de ferrocarril, y las \u201cpasantes\u201d, que como en el caso de la de Ourense, a donde llegar\u00e1n trenes que contin\u00faan a otros destinos, tanto hacia los diferentes puntos de Galicia como hac\u00eda el resto de Espa\u00f1a. Sostiene Portela que las estaciones del AVE son \u201cuna ocasi\u00f3n \u00fanica para construir un trozo muy importante de ciudad, y no solo un edificio\u201d, de ah\u00ed la relevancia que tiene su dise\u00f1o final, como sucede con la Estaci\u00f3n Central de Valencia, en la que se consigui\u00f3 \u201cconectar dos partes de la ciudad, y consiguientemente su permeabilidad\u201d. Uno de los objetivos que tiene la de Ourense. La soluci\u00f3n de Portela apost\u00f3 por adaptar a las nuevas construcciones la estaci\u00f3n existente, con el soterramiento de las v\u00edas, con lo que se libera en superficie para la ubicaci\u00f3n de un paseo y edifico de servicios y hoteles. Durante a s\u00faa intervenci\u00f3n nas xornadas que sobre a chegada da Alta Velocidade a Ourense que organiza o concello, que versou sobre \u201cEstaci\u00f3ns intermodais, porta d\u00e1 cidade\u201d, recalcou que a Estaci\u00f3n Central de Ourense ten que situarse no \u201cseu sitio\u201d, as\u00ed como \u201ccrearse o seu medio, constru\u00edrse a s\u00faa propia e singular monumentalidade, rodearse de prazas, de baleiros a seu arredor\u201d, que considera factores imprescindibles para a cidade. Pero Portela dixo estar convencido de que os m\u00e1is importantes, os m\u00e1is sociais son \u201cos espazos p\u00fablicos, que lle confiren ese halo m\u00e1xico\u201d. Sost\u00e9n Portela que as estaci\u00f3ns da AVE son \u201cunha ocasi\u00f3n \u00fanica para constru\u00edr un anaco moi importante de cidade, e non s\u00f3 un edificio\u201d, de a\u00ed a relevancia que ten o seu dese\u00f1o final, como acontece coa Estaci\u00f3n Central de Valencia, na que se conseguiu \u201cconectar d\u00faas partes da cidade, e conseguintemente a s\u00faa permeabilidade\u201d. Un dos obxectivos que ten a de Ourense.
