Naci\u00f3 en Barcelona en 1917, estudi\u00f3 econom\u00eda, trabaj\u00f3 en el Banco Exterior de Espa\u00f1a y fue catedr\u00e1tico de Estructura Econ\u00f3mica en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Fue senador en las primeras Cortes democr\u00e1ticas, entre 1977 y 1979, y es miembro de la Real Academia Espa\u00f1ola. It was born in Barcelona in 1917, studied economy, was employed at the Foreign trade bank of Spain and was a professor of Economic Structure in the Complutensian University of Madrid. He was a senator in the first democratic Spanish Parliament, between 1977 and 1979, and he is a member of the Royal Spanish Academy.
