El deploy\u00e9 es un transformado met\u00e1lico, un producto obtenido a partir de una simple chapa plana de acero a la que se practican unos cortes longitudinales para estirarla posteriormente en la direcci\u00f3n perpendicular a dichos cortes.<\/p>\n

De esta forma se obtiene una nueva chapa, con forma de enrrejado y hasta cinco veces m\u00e1s ligera. Esta t\u00e9cnica se emplea desde hace m\u00e1s de cien a\u00f1os desconoci\u00e9ndose el inventor de la misma.<\/p>\n

En 1974 \u00d3scar Tusquets y Lluis Clotet utilizan este material en \u201ccatalano\u201d, un banco cuyo dise\u00f1o constituye una lecci\u00f3n de sensibilidad y saber hacer constructivo. El banco plagia la secci\u00f3n que Gaud\u00ed imprimi\u00f3 en los bancos del parque G\u00fcell resolviendo su construcci\u00f3n con este material particularmente duro y barato. El dise\u00f1o se completa con diferentes modelos de bastidor resueltos con tubo doblado y remachado.<\/p>\n

Actualmente es distribuido por BD con un acabado extraordinario si bien muchos de estos bancos se destinaron a estaciones ferroviarias produci\u00e9ndose masivamente, con el mismo acero galvanizado y expandido que daba forma a las vallas de los tendidos y estaciones<\/p>\n

En 1986 Shiro Kuramata vuelve a utilizar el deploy\u00e9 en el dise\u00f1o de asientos. Antes hab\u00eda investigado entorno a los cl\u00e1sicos dise\u00f1os de Mies van der Rohe con este material pero ser\u00e1 \u201chow high the moon\u201d su dise\u00f1o m\u00e1s celebrado construido con metal expandido. Se trata de un bell\u00edsimo sof\u00e1 producido por IDEE y Vitra en dos versiones: individual y dos plazas.<\/p>\n

Su construcci\u00f3n es preciosista: las esquinas se forman soldando uno a uno los hilos del deploy\u00e9 y el acabado es mediante polvo de resina epoxi niquelado. Apenas cuarenta ejemplares en la tirada m\u00e1s larga. No es el plomizo traqueteo ferroviario lo que resuena en esta pieza sino la luz plateada y et\u00e9rea de la luna.<\/p>\n

En sus dise\u00f1os Kuramta apelaba de forma magistral a la ingravidez, la luz y el vac\u00edo.<\/p>\n

The deploy\u00e9 is a transformed metal-worker, a product obtained from a simple flat sheet of steel to which a few longitudinal cuts are practised to stretch it later in the direction perpendicular to the above mentioned cuts.<\/p>\n

Of this form a new sheet is obtained, with form of enrrejado and up to five times more light. This technology uses for more than hundred years not being known the inventor of the same one.<\/p>\n

In 1974 Oscar Tusquets y Llu\u00eds Clotet they use this material in \u201ccatalano\u201d, a bank which design constitutes a lesson of sensibility and to be able to do constructivly. The bank pirates the section that Gaud\u00ed stamped on the banks of the park G\u00fcell solving his construction with this particularly hard and cheap material. The design is completed by different models of frame solved with double and clinched pipe.<\/p>\n

Nowadays it is distributed by BD by the finished extraordinary one though many of these banks were destined to railway stations taking place massively, with the same galvanized and expanded steel that was giving form to the fences of the layings and stations.<\/p>\n

In 1986 Shiro Kuramata it returns to use the deploy\u00e9 in the design of seats. Before it had investigated environment to the classic designs of Mies van der Rohe with this material but there will be \u201chow high the moon\u201d his more celebrated design constructed with expanded metal. It is a question of the most beautiful sofa produced by IDEE and Vitra in two versions: individual and two squares.<\/p>\n

His construction is preciosista: the corners are formed welding one to one the threads of the deploy\u00e9 and the finished one is by means of powder of resin epoxi nickel-plated. You upset forty copies in the longest issue. It is not the leaden one I rattle railroad worker what resounds in this piece but the silver and ethereal light of the moon.<\/p>\n

In his designs Kuramta it was appealing against magisterial form to the weightlessness, the light and the emptiness.<\/p>\n
