Third Natures presents 15 years of speculations, projects and works constructed by the duo of architects of Madrid Cristina Díaz Moreno and Efrén García Grinda together with his collaborators. The exhibition will be a tour from the beginning of his practice in 1997 up to his last works, completed in 2013. In total, 26 projects showed across drawings, models, objects and photographies.
All this material, as well as the book “Third Natures, A Micropedia”, will be organized in agreement to laws of affinity and connection between them, in an attempt of grouping this wide set of projects as well as his principal field of action: the space of mediation between the persons, the objects, the natural species and the atmospheres. Third Nature was coined by Jacobo Bon Fadio during the Renaissance referring to a new type of garden that was creating the new one and till then unknown reality – a third nature – with a new and radical materiality that was constructed across cultural connections. In the same way, the practice of amid.cero9 explores how the materials of the culture can be assimilated and later returned to the world in the shape of offers strongly linked with the contemporary company. His approximation, both critical and festive, it is based on the urgent need of new, extreme and unexpected forms of beauty.
